Decent selection of OTC products on the shelves and the staff were friendly enough and helpful when I came in as a sales rep asking about their pharmacy operations. Free delivery is a big plus! Suburban Pharmacy has been a part of our neighborhood for over 40 years. They are one of the few businesses that have stayed on after the rest of the shopping center changed over. We have only known kindness, personal care and professionalism at this pharmacy. The delivery service is a has been helpful for family members unable to drive. We have observed occasional customers who are very rude, impatient and demanding, and it is sad to see the pharmacy staff treated so poorly at those times. I came into Suburban pharmacy with a doctor's prescription. My co-pay would be $21, I was told they had an OTC with the exact medication, $14. Really thinking of the customer when I realized besides the loss of profit on the OTC, my insurance would have paid them a great deal more if the filler the doctor's prescription. read more

There is such a thing as kindness and superior customer service. My mother needed a product that in this pandemic time was hard to come by. It was literally actually a matter of life and death. The Pharmacists at Suburban Pharmacy heard about my mothers need and not only supplied it at a reasonable cost, they had it delivered it to make sure she got it. Grossly unprofessional conduct and discrimination from the male pharmacist who blatantly and intentionally lied, neglected, and dismissed me. i tried to ask him a question, he cut me off held my prescription in the air and said "DO YOU WANT ME TO FILL IT OR NOT!?" did not care about my privacy or well-being and his behavior was shockingly angry, erratic, unprofessional, inappropriate, deceitful, unstable and bizarre. he looked at my prescription that was sitting on the shelf in bag ready to pick up and then told me nope we dont have it in stock, cant fill it. i said but two people told me to come in and that it was ready for pickup. he said Nope not filling it, dont have it in stock. the owner Jane told him its right there, i just talked to her and told her it was ready for pickup. he said "my choice my decision" she pulled him to the side, idk what they talked about and he came out with my prescription but furious. This is ignorance, judgement & discrimination from a professional who should know better and who's patients deserve better. read more

I was racially profiled by the elderly lady (manager) there (10:50 AM 7/11/2023). Went there for the first time in my life, and for the third time in my life in need of money order. Asked for five $50 money orders. She said she has seen me there before and won't sell money order to me. I offered my ID, cash, debit, whatever as I only have a few hours off from work to mail in visa applications for my family. Sad day. This is no different from a police officer saying "you match the description." Called WesternUnion. They said they ask for ID only when the amount is high. Besides, the business could've offered a different solution such as 2 or 3 money orders stating they have a written policy where they aren't allowed to issue more than that. They instructed me to file written complaints with the state board of pharmacy and PA customer protection as well as WesternUnion. read more

Stopped in Suburban pharmacy today . It's a neighborhood pharmacy in Somerton. They delivery your medication which is a plus for those that can't drive or can't get out of the house. I love coming here when I need something faxed it is convenient for me to stop in when I'm on my way to my mom and dad's house. The customer service is great!! No complaints every time I do stop in im in and out in a few minutes. I also pick up other things like cough medicine and cough drops when I'm not faxing things. I would recommend stopping in if you need your RX filled or even set up delivery to your home if you live in the neighborhood. A+ service read more

Suburban Pharmacy has been my go to for four decades. The family business has seen my family through lots of ups and downs over the years. They monitor and know my prescription needs. On numerous occasions the staff has reached out to my physicians & insurance providers on my behalf. Suburban administers flu shots, shingles boosters and Covid-19 vaccines. The prices are reasonable for medications & over the counter supplements. I love the greeting card selection, household goods & small toys for my grandchildren too. Kudos to all the Suburban workers who worked tirelessly through the pandemic caring for the needs of the Bustleton neighborhood. I'm glad their family takes care of mine! read more

Just came from my third visit to Suburban. Friendly, helpful staff. Between the last two trips I saved over $200 from what I had been paying at Walgreens. My original reason for switching from Walgreens was because they were expanding into physicians' services, continuing a sad state of squeezing out private practices. Also received a shingles shot when none was to be had at Walgreens+RiteAid+CVS. Suburban has become my pharmacy of choice. read more

They have treated me well such as calling another pharmacy for my meds, letting me have an account on the books when I am short on funds and just overall appreciating my family's business. Drove 30 mins to get here because the man that answered the phone (the Pharmacist) told my husband that He needed to have the prescription to tell him if the medication was in stock. We only went there because his medicine is back ordered and the pharmacy we have used for years was out of stock. So we drove over to the pharmacy only to be greeted by a miserable woman behind the counter. she immediately looked at the prescription and told us That the amount that they had in stock was for their clients and then if we wanted to fill anything there all of our prescriptions would have to come to them. when we told them we spoke to somebody on the phone she said she couldn't figure out who that would've been there was only one other male in the store( the pharmacist) She then proceeded to take my husband's prescription back to the pharmacist where he shouted out oh my God I've never seen that amount let me take a picture of that prescription. The Pharmacist then proceeds to take a photo with his phone even though I yelled back and told him that was not ok with us having our private information on the top but they both ignored me. He then mumbled back and forth with the grumpy counter woman because she wanted to know why he told us to come there. Then she came back to the counter and said that they refused to fill it because they weren't going to give us the amount the doctor prescribed when I told her I was not going to allow him to be treated like a drug addict she told me those were my words yet they both stood And judged him for his prescription. She then said they won't fill it because their stock was for their clients. When I told her to contact his Dr she replied that they wouldn't fill it anyway to go somewhere else. Real nice. I guess patient privacy means nothing here. And worst part is it's not even a opioid drug. read more

They didn't want to order my medication and tried to dangle it like a carrot saying that if I gave them all of my other medications from CVS they would order it. Stay away from any business that treats a new customer in such a demeaning and insulting way. When I told them what I thought about their policy, a man behind the counter said they have been in business for 35 years and he could care less what my opinion was.
