This year we decided to change providers when we added 2 new propane appliances, and to our surprise AmeriGas charged us $150 just to pick up their tank! This was 2 months after we'd paid $144 for a year of tank rent. We thought the agreement allowed for termination of account after the 3 year initial term, but when we terminated after 5 and a half years we got charged for leaving. Not recommended.
