I once gave this establishment a 5 star rating, for over 3 years, as I felt they deserved it. Yet, as of late, the quality has declined sharply. I don't recommend ordering online, even though we're in the digital era, this establishment seems incapable of handling these orders. Their hot sandwiches are ALWAYS cold, because they don't heat the meat and melt the cheese. I guess they think you want a cold rotisserie chicken, steak and cheese, etc. if you don't check "toasted" on the website. No, I'd still like my sandwich hot, I just don't want toasted bread, it's not difficult. Even when my family has put notes to "please heat the meat" and we arrive early or on time for pick up, our sandwiches are cold. This can lead to bacteria, even though it's been previously fully cooked, since it sits in a container for who knows how long. That's food prep and kitchen safety 101. For example: The temperature danger zone refers to food temperatures between 41 and 135 degrees Fahrenheit, with the most rapid bacterial growth occurring between 70 and 125 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm fairly certain the meat doesn't stay within those temperatures for the amount of time they're left out in the counter cooler. Not heating the meat, is not killing any potential bacteria that may have begun. I fear they may wait until someone gets really sick before they take this situation seriously. I've also seen flies in the container that holds the cookies, which is just disgusting and I didn't even mention... IMO, if they can't fulfill online orders they need to remove it from their website, simple as that. I dislike paying $30+ everytime we order for "fast food" that's completely unacceptable and not being made whole when contacted. We've ordered online several times and have had this issue more than once but there's only so many times one can be disappointed before they feel the need to bring it to the attention to someone. They offered us coupons, which we appreciated, though we felt there should have been more done, and when my SO went to get the sandwiches she was treated rudely, they didn't have enough of the bread we wanted, they didn't give the double meat we requested and paid for, since it wasn't included with the coupon, poorly made sandwiches, and just an overall poor experience yet again... As a former employee in a suburb of Chicago location back in 1999, when we were referred to as "sandwich artists" since our sandwiches would actually look like the ones advertised, this situation would be beyond unacceptable. When I was 16 I was making multiple sandwiches, under 1 min, knew customers and their orders by their name or face, and never had a complaint. It's not a difficult job. This is a town of 2,000, I'd hate to see how they'd do in a town of over 45,000 during the lunch and dinner rush... Grayville location is superior to this location, we've never had a problem there, and the employees are always friendly. So, we'll no longer be purchasing from here, until we're made whole, at minimum, and we feel they can accomplish their job satisfactorily. They also need to understand we want what we pay for, don't need attitude because they couldn't make the food properly, as this isn't personal, and we don't come in with a poor attitude. Which is sad, since we have VERY few fast food chains or restaurants in general in our area. read more
