We have become real fans of Slim Chickens. I have had a sandwich and their tender meals - both are delicious. We have stopped in Pikeville, KY, on a Sunday afternoon and the guy at the register has been great. Not only is he hospitable and welcoming, but I truly can see he cares about the customers. My only complaint for the Pikeville location has been cleanliness. We stopped, once, during a busy time and it was rather disheveled inside. The last time we stopped later on a Sunday afternoon and had a hard time finding a table without the remnants of others and their meals. I tried to wipe down a table with several napkins and it was sticky. If they kept this location a bit cleaner (the guy wiping down needs to wipe the tables and the seats) it would help.

The restaurant is located in the newly renovated ADUC student center on campus. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delivered quickly. The fries were to die for but the sandwich (I ordered the regular deluxe sandwich,which comes with lettuce tomato and cheese) was over cooked to the point of being tough. The bun crumbled like it was old. I expected more from Chick-Fil-a. I would like to try it again after they have been open a little longer, though, before I pass a final judgement.
