So much for supporting the local guy, but at least they are franchised, right? The sandwich was okay. There was plenty of meat. Adequate lettuce (iceberg) and tomato, acceptable bread. But there was too much mayo, and the cheese blend veered closest to cheddar, which wouldn't be my first choice for a club. These latter two elements detracted from the sandwich, and took it down at least a star. It was filling; I don't think I ate a snack for the remaining 42 miles of my ride, and wasn't exactly famished for dinner, either. Still, when I compared it to other sandwich shops, it's not great. Di Bella's is better, as is Jersey Mike's. A lot of independent sandwich shops have much better clubs. I'd probably go here again over Jimmy John's if those were the two options, but would probably go Subway over Fox's, if only because the former makes it easy to skip the mayo (they'd probably overdo it as well) and cheese your preferred cheese. Admittedly, a sandwich may not be the fairest choice to review a Pizza Den on, but it was on the menu, and the other pizza place I know of that has sandwiches has pretty darn good sandwiches. I was tempted by the calzone, but calzones and pizzas usually aren't the wisest choice for bike riding. Thus, a sub it was.

We arrived and the building was very quirky (side entrance, lots of hallways to get in...) - but we were okay with a quirky local experience, that's how you find hidden gems! However, when we got to our room we entered the code to get in and there was someone laying in our bed! I felt so bad at first because I thought I went in someone else's room (since apparently every door has the same code)... but once I double checked it was our correct room. The man came out and apologized, he apparently works for the owner and he lets him stay there... which is great but now I know my room isn't clean and someone has been in my bed. I called the hotel number since no one is working a desk or anything and got no answer. We didn't hear back for a while and were no longer comfortable staying there so I had to book somewhere else nearby. I didn't hear anything from Morguen Toole until around 10pm! Thankfully I wasn't sitting there waiting for hours... I was told I could get a refund since we did not feel comfortable staying. HOWEVER, I never received it. For weeks I called and emailed and never got another response. I was very patient and tried to not be rude when I would request my money back even though I was very disappointed in our experience, but ultimately never was given a response or refund.
