I love the name of this Oakville establishment, the Sandwich Society, however I did not like their…read moresandwiches quite as much. Let me preface by saying that their OG The David sandwiches are not bad. The focaccia bread was nice, and the sauce is solid where they didn't overdo the truffle flavours. What they however overdid was the prosciutto. Sometimes in life, less is more. They just went 'ham' with layers upon layers of what tasted like the cheap San Daniele prosciutto (according to the website they used ones produced by local Niagara farmers), where in parts of the sandwich that didn't have the mozzarella cheese, the sandwich was inedible because it was so salty. By eating the entire sandwich, I would have exceeded the entire week's sodium intake. By the end, I had to throw a quarter of the sandwich out since it was so heavy and salty. Had they invested in higher quality prosciutto and included just two or three layers of it, it would have been a pretty good sandwich. I remember, outside the restaurant they said something along the lines of if someone ate a sandwich from Sandwich Society, he/she would not regret it like their EXs. But after having one, I experienced a certain degree of buyer's remorse. Remember, "we don't eat sandwiches because we are hungry. We eat sandwiches because we are members of a Foodie app called Yelp."

The cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot for lunch or a quick bite. Definitely one of the best sandwich shops in Oakville, I'll be coming back for sure, appreciate the warm hospitality again. Thank you.

Food was fabulous! My eggs were poached perfectly and the pea bacon was cooked just right. The…read moretomato tapenade gave a bit of acidity which was a nice balance to the creamy rich hollandaise. My husband said his frittata was delicious and since he spoke very little, that confirmed it was! The side salad was lightly dressed which brought a brute mess to the plate. Not a big fan of the coffee. It was a little more butte than I normally like. But that's just my personal taste.

We arrived around 11am on a long weekend and they had plenty of tables available, but by the time we were leaving, all the tables were full. You need to order your food first and get seated after. They bring your order to you, but if you need a coffee refill, or milk and cream, you need to pick them up yourself at the station. Coffee refill was a challenge for us, since we had to go through all other tables and wait for the staff to refill our coffee, and even there were times they were out of milk and had to drink our coffee black. We ordered "Key West Eggs", "Crepe au Fraises", "Slow Roasted Lamb" and "Canadian Peameal Back Bacon". Our food was delicious and we would love to go back and try more of their menu items. Just expecting delays for our coffee this time. Lol

Chicken burger with 2 tenders was huge. Filled with a large amount of chicken, tasted great. I…read morewould give it a 10. I liked a lot of things about it and there was nothing I didn't like particularly other than maybe the bottom bun was a little soggy. Kale slaw was an outrageous ripoff. $ 2.29 for a container that was way too small and they only filled it halfway. Picture shows overfill container of purple 'kaleslaw' you get itty bitty container of normal coleslaw mostly, half full. Tasted pretty good. 1 / 10. Burger just didn't taste that good. Meat seemed OK, sauce didn't taste right. Soggy buns, untoasted, just not that great. Wendys is way better. 6/10?. Paid a dollar for garlic aioli. Terrible. Tasted like miracle whip, sweet and nothing like garlic. I expect garlic aioli to taste like garlic. Very small container. Their steak sandwich looks great. Maybe stick to that and the chicken and you'll do alright.

Not my first time @ Gladiator, but it was my first at this specific location (Oakville)…read more Spacious location, with lots of seating and ample parking. Tried some different items from the menu this time, and though I love the burgers and steak sandwiches (the better option over burgers IMO), this time I found the beef to be a little salty (it could be because of the cheese and other ingredients that have salt + the salt added in the patty itself) and the chicken tenders too bland. I also tried "Unleash my Hunger" which was amazing (with the mozzarella!). I have tried the pancake burger as well and loved the addition of guacamole. For the chicken tenders, when eaten with a burger, you won't be able to distinguish the taste since there's a lot of sauce inside the burger. However, when you eat the tender by itself, then you can taste the difference. Regardless, I still really enjoyed the tenders. The sweet potato fries and the onion rings were good. The milkshakes are also good, though the strawberry was a little sweet for me. I love the selection and the amount of variety in the burgers. I liked the addition of jalapeño poppers. There is a lot of different types of burgers and sandwiches to choose from, including a mix of beef and chicken in the sandwich. I also like that there's many side options. Would I go back? Yes. Owners and staff were friendly as well.

A good local sandwich place in Oakville. They offer asian flavours in their sandwiches and menu…read more The place is inside a plaza where Fortinos is. Nice and clean inside, the staff was friendly and very helpful with the menu. I decided to get a karaage side dish and a bbq pulled pork sandwich. The fried chicken was nicely seasoned and complimented with the mayo dip. The bbq pulled pork was very tasty but was a bit messy to eat with the sauce and the bun. Overall, I think this place is good and would love other things on the menu especially their milkshakes.

Mind you the reviews were all old over a year ago. Since COVID I do noticed most restaurants quality post COVID has gone down. Ambiance: It's pretty small with a few tables. Decor is pretty cute and modern. Also super clean with one unisex washroom. You order at the counter and seat yourself like a fast food place. Service: Service was good. The lady took our order and the food came pretty quick. We also got there at 1:30pm so it was empty. Food: We ordered a easy as pie milkshake which is like you apple pie in a milkshake! Pretty cool idea. The pics on the website looks great. However in reality it didn't look like the website pic at all. Just white milkshake. There are tiny chunks of apple/ cookies and a hint of cinnamon. But overall tasteless and not sweet. It's was like I was drinking ice milk with some texture. I was not impressed. We only took a couple of sips and it left a weird after taste so we didn't end up finishing it To share we got the Kimchi poutine. It was essentially fries that were not that crispy soaked with Kimchi and some mayo on top. It was ok a little underwhelming. The 3 sandwiches we got were different so we can try them all: 1. Sriracha honey Karaage chicken sandwich. The chicken was a bit soggy maybe from the sauce. The bun was fresh. The lettuce inside was a bit wilted. 2. Pho beef banh mi sandwich. The beef was a bit dry and the banh mi was tasteless with no flavour 3. Bbq pull pork sandwich. It was sweet and flavourful but again too much sauce made the sandwich a bit soggy. Pricing is fair. But probably won't come back. For $50 I can get better food elsewhere.
