    Inside the quickie smash burger

Food 3/5 Service 3/5 Ambiance 3/5 Swanky Burger is located in Eaton's Centre Queen's Cross Food hall. Hubby & I like this food court because it's less busy than the large food court on the lower level of the mall. It's also the newest food court as it was recently renovated & had a different name before. A long long time ago it used to be a Marche Movenpick then became Richtree. Now it's Queen's Cross. I ordered the Quickie Smash Burger plain (single patty) as well as fries & onion rings as sides & water for a drink. The patty was okay & I liked the fries but I couldn't taste the onion in the onion rings. Also my burger arrived with bun on top singed. Is that normal? I've seen other reviews where the top was also burnt looking. Service was ordinary. The guy at the counter was friendly & took my order quickly. The food didn't take that long to get prepared. Ambiance is okay. Queen's Cross has nice tables, chairs & overall layout is good. Washrooms could use a renovation as they look worn out. I don't think I'll eat at Swanky Burger again. The burger was pretty ordinary for the price.

This is a burger food stall located in the new Queen's Cross Food Hall. They opened on 2024-04-24. They have 5 selections of burgers. You can addsmoked bacon (+$2) and/or American cheese (+$2). Sadly, the beef patties are only 3 oz each. There is a small selection of sides: fries ($5), onion rings ($7), and poutine ($9). You can make any main a combo, with one side and drink, for a $2 discount. I ordered the Swanky Smash Burger ($12). This consists of two 3oz beef patties, swanky sauce, onion, tomato, lettuce, and pickles.they cook to order. The patties were juicy, flavourful, and filling. The pickles were of good quality. I'm not sure it was worth $12. For that price, it should have included cheese. I added a packet of relish. They also sell large-sized vegan donuts from Bloomers. There is free WiFi from the food hall's WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms and a wheelchair accessible washroom in the food hall. Review 2024-092

    Patty Melt

At first, I wasn't sure about the patty melt but after tasting it I'm convinced. It's like a smashed burger but on a soft piece of potato toast. Absolutely delicious. All the flavours are well balanced - with the onions, bacon, spicy mayo, cheese, just melt in your mouth good. Just look at it! For $11, it's not bad at all. Find them at the Eatons Centre food court closer to the Queen St / South side of the mall.

Crispy spring rolls, cool greens, and that delicious fish sauce . The pho is simple -- clear broth, delicate aromatics, nothing heavy or overworked. Just honest flavor. The reason they have "express" in their store name is that the food is usually ready within 2 mins. During busy times, you have to wait until they get to your order. There is a little window where they place food that is ready, and a server brings them to your table (if you are dining in). We ordered the following: A1: Spring Roll 4 pcs ($11.99). A2: Shrimp Fresh Roll 4 pcs ($11.99). M1: Assorted Thap Cam Banh Mi ($8.99). P1: Special Beef Noodle Soup/Pho ($17.99). C2: Grilled Chicken and Fried Egg on Broken Rice ($15.99). V1: Grilled Pork & Spring Rolls with Vermicelli ($18.99). D1: Passion-Mango Green Tea ($4.99). D4: Ice Coffee with Condensed Milk ($4.99). D5: Pop x 2 ($1.99 x 2). The customer service is good. They forgot to tell us that extra condiments can be found on a counter near the washroom. There is plenty of indoor tables, most of them are for two people. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-230

This location is a full restaurant with plenty of indoor seating. There is easy-listening music playing in the background. I ordered the following: 1. Signature Poutine with Beef ($9.99). 2. Plum Cold Brew ($3.99). I've never had the Poutine before. It was good. I've had the Plum Cold Brew before and it was like I remembered. This restaurant chain introduced the "Chinese Hamburger" in a crispy bun to Toronto back in 2021-05-23 (soft opening). Very tasty indeed! Plus, they have a wide variety of appetizers. The two owners are from China. The brand was founded in Beijing on 2014-04-08 and now has over 65 locations in Beijing. The Chinese Hamburger is called Rou Jia Mo (肉夹馍) in Chinese, which literally translates to "meat in a bun". It is the cuisine of China's Shaanxi province, which has the capital city of Xi'An (or Xian), where you find the terracotta warriors. For Chinese hamburgers, there are two types of buns: crispy and non-crispy. Most restaurants use the non-crispy buns but Bingz is the only restaurant in the GTA that uses the baked crispy buns. There is free WiFi. The restaurant wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washrooms, which is also wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-244
