Not overly hot, but clearly Franks red sauce. I was very happy with it. The fries, however, were battered. Not a fan, though they were hot as Hades, which almost pushed this to a 5 star review, but at the end of the day, they were still battered. Fresh cut would have been sooo much better. This brisket burger was pretty sloppy, but delicious...only knock was that the bun did not hold up well to all the toppings: beef patty, onion spread, bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, BBQ smoked brisket and a fried onion ring. It was however, cooked to a nice medium rare (just the way I like it). Also, the fresh cut fries were cooked just right and very crispy. The place is beautiful with its black and white vibes. They had several specials and a great menu selection. I tried the salmon sandwich. It was delicious and huge portion. My husband had the perch special with a side of truffle fries and broccoli. He enjoyed his meal as well. The service was also great. Very attentive and offered suggestions on menu items. I virtually never get refunds on food, I used to be in food service for a long time. But this was a big disappointment and I didn't feel like I got what I paid for. I love Oberlin and had hoped I found a new "spot." This probably won't be it.
