We've been coming here since they opened. Every burger we've had has been great! And I don't order fries anytime we go other places bc I'm not a big fan of fries, but I love their fries here. We've never encountered bad service. For the price it's such a good value bc they don't continually shrink their burger size like most places where they're closer to slider size. Is this a $5 milkshake? Probably not. But a once in a while treat? Why not? They have about 10 flavors. It was a bit whippy and airy. Thick but not dense like you make at home. Oh yeah they have great fries. Medium is enough to share. Their burgers are good. They really look like their pictures. Don't forget a little cheeseburger is a single & a regular cheeseburger is a double. Still think it's a bit pricy for burger, fries & shake. I have come in twice for a "to go burger". I don't like a lot of condiments and each time I asked for lettuce and ketchup only. I like the crunch of lettuce on my burger so asked for extra lettuce each time. Each time I received a very tiny bit of wilted lettuce. Got to watch 7 workers dance and sing while they skipped my order number. When I walked in thought it was going to be a good experience because they asked right away to put on my patties so I Wouldn't be waiting long, but then I just watched my food pass me Up while everyone else got served my burgers. I had to go to the counter and address this, but they didn't try to fix the problem at all. Who seemed to be the manager knew I was frustrated and had been looking at me the whole time as I sat there and waited. Needless to say won't be back. TERRIBLE SERVICE. I always love the burgers here at this five guys location. I've been to quite a few and this one is also relatively quick for the amount of people that come in. For a restaurant that serves shelled peanuts they manage to keep up the floors surprisingly clean. On a Sunday night there was quite a few staff members working- 7 that I could count- almost out numbering the number of guests. Maybe it was training night? On my opinion, this place is excellent! I love their burgers, nice and big and greasy! Tons of toppings to choose from at no extra cost. The fries are really good and the amount of fries that you get is great! The reason for 4 stars is the pricing. Paying over $20 for burgers, fries and pop is kinda ridiculous IMO. Five Guys is the place to go when you want a good burger and fries fast. The menu is very simple - burgers and fries. The burger: always cooked well done, but still juicy. Pick as many toppings as you want, but don't miss the grilled onions and mushrooms. Very flavorful, always satisfying. The fries: #3 fries in Cleveland, behind Lola and Bar Cento (which is good company!). Idaho potatoes cut and fried right on site. Somewhere between shoestrings and chips in width, these are fantastic. Just crispy enough, and vinegar is available for those who really know how to enjoy a fry. While I have never had them, there are also hot dogs, grilled cheeses, and a veggie sandwich (not a veggie burger - a veggie sandwich). A few things for the first-timer: A "cheeseburger" is really a double cheeseburger - ordering a "Little Cheeseburger" is probably what you're expecting when you order the former. (No one is going to go hungry on a little burger!) The same goes with french fries - two people can easily share a regular fry. I repeat: two people can easily share a regular fry. The only reason to order a large fry is to server 3-4 people. Without the information above, one could easily conclude that Five Guys is overpriced by ordering (for two people) two "cheeseburgers" and two "regular fries." This will get you enough food for four people, and will set you back $24. The key to recession friendly-eating at Five Guys is splitting - get a cheeseburger (which is a double!) and a regular fry. Between the satisfying stack of toppings on the burger, the big bag of fries and all-you-can-eat shell-your-own peanuts, you'll do just fine. Between this menu confusion and the lack of a veggie burger (or organic/grass-fed/free-range/douche-bag patties), I'm setting them back a star. My hubby and I came to five guys last weekend right before closing time. Let me tell you this first, we have been here numerous times before and everything has always been really good with no problems. My review is based on my most recent visit. Honestly, I don't know if I'll go back again . They close at 10 on Saturday nights. We got there right around 9:30. The cashier was friendly enough but the food was terrible. We always order a large Cajun spiced fry. I always get the Cajun fry. But this time there was so much Cajun spice on them that my husband and I both were gulping our drinks down because our throats were burning! I think they literally dumped the whole container of Cajun on our fries. On to my burger, when I opened the foil on my burger it wasn't even put together right. The lettuce wasn't even on my burger. It was just wrapped in the foil. I understand it was late & they want to get out of there but it doesn't take long to put the lettuce on. To make matters worse, my burger was raw in the middle. Now this is not a place where ordering medium or medium rare is even an option. Again I understand it was close to closing time but seriously what would it have taken to cook my burger all the way? An extra 2 minutes maybe? I know it sounds like I'm complaining so much but I love going out & when your food sucks, it's s huge disappointment!! Also five guys has peanuts to snack on while you're waiting for your food. They used to have little paper bowls to put your peanuts in but there weren't any this time. How was I supposed to carry my peanuts? In my hand? Sorry five guys, your food is a little pricey and for it to be undercooked & over seasoned seems like a waste of money for me. Five Guys is traditionally very good food for a burger joint. Where this location goes wrong is the hiring of illiterate teenagers. I dont think I've been served a pile of trash this bad at any other encounter at any other five guys location. This place screws up more often than my local McDonalds but at quadruple the price. What kind of trash company charges 6 dollars for a sub-par quality sandwich, but still leaves a bunch of unsupervised children to run a business...poorly I might add. This is ridiculous. Please find competent management staff, and maybe look for some employees that can READ. It would be nice to try and enjoy some food and actually get what I came in for. The food and service gets worse every time we come. This might be the last for this location. Last time (about a month ago) our burgers were burnt and dried out. Ordered online this time and still had to wait...in an empty restaurant on a Saturday night. The workers were standing around and we arrived 5 min after my order was scheduled to be done but they hadn't started it yet. My burger had onion on it (I'm allergic) and when I asked nicely if they could remake it the manager was rude and treated me like I was the problem. Then while we ate she and the other workers proceeded to yell and scream and laugh to the point of being obnoxious. The manager seemed very young and immature. I saw her tell a couple workers to do something and they yelled back loudly, "No!" By the way, the second burger had pieces of onion mixed in the lettuce as well. read more

I tend to eat vegetarian, but Five Guys burgers are the best of the burger chains, even compared to In N' Out Burger... The large fries are huge and the toppings are fresh and tasty. The problem is that I always eat a few peanuts before the burger and walk out stuffed...just goes to show you that a short menu does not mean that the experience will be somehow reduced. Anyone who hasn't tried the franchise should do so right now! You won't be disappointed. If you are lucky enough to be in D.C., however, I envy you. They offer huge, delicious sandwiches with a wide selection of toppings and a gratuitous helping of fries - don't waste time or money opting for a larger size, a small is more than enough for multiple people. Some examples of the helpings include their regular "cheeseburger" having two patties - the double cheeseburger is the default. All of the portions are this generous, and you can watch as the usually-friendly cooks make your food right in front of you. The kitchen staff are fun and loud. They are also very accommodating if you want to change something or made a mistake on your order. I used to like this place. They used to have a better staff who were trained better. Now, it's almost like going to Wendy's. The food is still great, but the fry portions are shrinking. A manager once told me they were supposed to put a heaping topper on a large, but that hasn't been the case for me for many months.
