The new owners have improved everything 100% It's clean and the sandwich toppings are fresh. It's way better than it used to be.

TLDR: Below average food, inconsistent staff, may or may not be open during open hours. We've come here more often then we probably should knowing that it's never what we're hoping for. The staff is never consistent with what you can and can't do , IE use the drive through for more than two sandwiches, that is IF the drive thru doesn't have a hand written "sorry drive thru closed" sign up. Just tried to go, within open hours, sign up in the drive thru decided to go in , no luck locked doors. There's personnel inside, signs on, lights other wise functional just no customers allowed in. Tried to call, number isn't working. Thats it for us, below par sandwiches aren't worth the frustration. read more

While I did not eat at this location, I did buy multiple gift cards there for our business. The employee who assisted me on an early Sunday morning was just awesome. Great attitude. Great customer service. Super happy to help. Efficient and knowledgeable. A very refreshing experience considering the general customer service out there in the world. Female worker there at 3pm today was, again, a total failure at any customer service skills. If she's working by herself or feeling over-worked she is incapable of hiding it. She was VERY rude to the customer in front of me, so I left. Whoever owns this franchised establishment should re-evaluate their decision to hire the first warm-blooded individual that applies in the future. Figure it out! Customer service goes a long way. You should save you're money and go get a pre made sandwich from Fred Meyers. They got my order completely wrong. There were missing sandwiches and the girl was just rude. We didn't notice till we got home and my sons sandwich was missing from the order. We were charged for it and the store said "I don't know what to tell you." Since you can only drive thru due to COVID. We didn't get to go in and watch them make it. I contacted a customer support representative for this store and location. Nothing but empty promises. Hands down the absolute worst subway on the entire planet. At a certain point places like this should just cut their loss and close permanently rather than giving their customers the absolute worst service that can be given. I can understand that part of their problem is they are short staffed, but they've had this issue for a couple years now, hence the fact they just need to give up. I've given them a few chances over the years since they are the only sandwich in town, and have yet to not have a good experience with them. Issues range from messaging up your order, extremely large waits, curbside service doesn't even answer the phone, and the list goes on. So done with this place, never again! read more

Health violations left and right amongst other serious issues. There was one new hire behind the counter. I say new hire because she was very young and you could tell she was learning. The supposed "manager" of this place told the new hire she was not able to help her because she needs to clean the toilet. There was a small line of customers. After waiting 15 minutes I suggested to the "manager" that she should help her co-worker. Boy did that go south. The "manager" proceeded to argue with me and tell me how cleaning the toilet needed to be done before helping customers in line. I should say, this was at 5:30pm (dinner time). She continued to clean the bathrooms while mean mugging me and talking underneath her breath about me to the new hire. 20 minutes in line waiting and still getting nowhere. While waiting, this "manager" kept going behind the counter where all the food is at with her gloves she had just used to clean the toilet. She then grabbed some food order receipts and put them on the whiteboard where the food is prepped. No hand washing was going on. Some other customer came in to pickup an online order. The new hire apologized for not having her online order done. I mentioned to that customer that if she was going to call anyone out for not having her food done, it would be the "manager" since she's refusing to help the new hire out and we've been waiting for 25 minutes while she cleaned toilets. The "manager", which I wasn't able to get her name because they don't wear name tags and she refused to give it to me, told me to "leave, we don't need your money". I asked for her managers name and she replied "it's her day off and she doesn't need to deal with you". Completely shocked and disappointed that this person thinks it's okay to behave this way, make customers wait an ungodly amount of time for food while she cleaned bathrooms, during dinner hours and then ran me out and told me "we don't need your money", all because I suggested she help her co-worker out. Believe me, after seeing the health violations, my family and I won't be back. Not sure how this business is making it. read more

I know that they have many online orders, phone orders, drive through, and in person orders which can make the timing a little slow. But overall great experience. After our last few experiences, we're finished with the Scappoose Subway. 20 minutes in the drive thru... they made us pay the minute we got to the window then sit 20mins while they made sandwiches for people who walked in after we were already sitting there. I'm not one to leave bad reviews or even complain about service. But if I'm going to pay almost $10 for a wrap, I expect to get the correct amount of meat in my wrap. For example, I ordered a steak and bacon wrap, usually you get two full scoops of steak, and four pieces of bacon. Instead I got two half scoops of steak and two pieces of bacon. The girl was very nice, but I think she was just trained improperly. When I bite into my wrap, I expect to taste my food not get a mouth full of the wrap with a hint of meat. read more

I've gone to this Subway now four times & to say its gone downhill & has lost customers is a huge understatement!! The last time before today was about 2-3 weeks ago. My son & I went through drive through, only to be told we needed to wait awhile cause they were "very busy". Mind you there was one, yes one vehicle in line & one, yes one customer inside!! "Very Busy"?! We waited & waited, & I ended up backing out of the drive thru & leaving because there was no service. Instead visited a local restaurant for dinner who provided excellent service!!! Today we decided to give it another chance; bad decision & waste of money & time for sure. Gal that took my order was nice, but asked the same questions over & over again. Literally could not get it together! We waited at least 10 minutes; only customers there!! Then we received our order both sandwiches were wrong!!! No idea why it took so long given we only had two 6" sandwiches & there were three, yes three employees; two of which were standing around & one that clearly could not take an order get the sandwiches right. Myself and a few others were denied being able to use actual legit Subway coupons at this location. Worker stated that the owner chose to not honor them. Even though they are Subway coupons. Just got them in the mail today. Poor choice of business practice on the owners part. Most everyone left as a result. Who the hell would do that as an owner. Absolutely unbelievable! I sat in the drive-through with one car in front of me for 20 minutes. Only to have the employee come on to the speaker and tell me it was going to be a bit of a wait. I asked her what she meant by that she said I don't understand what do you mean? I managed to back all the way out of the drive-through only to see one customer in the actual physical store. I must admit I have been back to this subway since my prior review. The drive thru may be unreasonably slow at times but it's still a drive thru. My interactions with most of the employees have been surprisingly pleasant. I see my last review made an impact of the customer service provided by the staff. Although my opinion of this Subway location has improved I can't help but notice there are some new faces (since my last review) that aren't providing the best service. One gal in particular always seems bothered (not the older blonde with the sour attitude... I have only seen her once since my last review but she was friendly). To be honest I have avoided going when I see she's there because of the service I received from her. I am still dissatisfied by the lack of coupons and overall how this location is run.... but they employees that serve me at the restaurant have greatly improved. (Besides the one..) =) read more

The first time we visited a female worker came directly of of the bathroom and went straight to the sandwich counter without washing her hands. I thought we would give it one more try today. We just left because a female worker handed off her headset to the male making sandwiches. We frequent this Subway a lot, but in the last year it has gone downhill...actually it never was up hill. For the longest time they couldn't give receipts, they are always out of cookies at dinner time, or they only have 1 chocolate chip left. A one star...out of my five sandwich/wrap online placed one sandwich was correct. Worst customer service hands down. Place order at 1:48 for already time of 2:05, order was not ready by that time. FYI not okay to pick up a already paid for order in the drive thru when it should be ready! Once home...one sandwich missing and three incorrectly made. Went back to the restaurant to get sandwiches made correctly, all said and done I had my complete correct order by 2:45. The service at the restaurant to make my wrong order right was frustrating.
