Last night the family came in and the food was great. Wife and split two chicken sandwich meal and my daughter got the new trio. We all shared and it was more than enough food. Atmosphere was great but the service was mid. We got in line and the employee said it would be a minute. Well the line was backing up and more employees were just staring at us not helping anyone. About 10 mins later she says oh sorry I forgot. Really you have 6 other people who could have taken our order. Then we our food was ready on the counter I walked up and the gentleman told me I had to wait until another employee helped me. Really man you couldn't just hand me my food. My food arrived very quickly, the flavor was very good. Service was outstanding! My meal presentation was impressive. Portions are incredibly large, I ordered the two sliders with fries. It is enormous! Personally for me, the seasoning is very heavy, making it unable to taste the chicken. I did order the medium, next time I will give it shot and order light mild. It has been a few months since we've eaten here. We decided to stop in for lunch after shopping nearby. The restaurant was clean and staff friendly. Parking can be tricky as the lot is narrow and fills up fast because of all the businesses in the strip mall. We ordered the two slider meal with fries to share. We picked the no spice and mild for the sliders. It took a long time for our food, which was surprising since they weren't too busy at 11:30 on a Saturday. Our sliders were nice and hot, but our fries were lukewarm at best. The sliders were yummy, but fries were disappointing. Overall a decent experience. We left satisfied, but not extremely like last time. Hopefully they'll work on their quality control. Would definitely try again though. read more

My friend and I came here on a Thursday night at 10PM and there were a good amount of folks sitting. The server was friendly and asked us if this is our first time here. Then she proceed to take our order. We ordered the -#3, which is one tender and one slider to share. The interiors is similar to other Dave's location. The food came out in a timely manner and the spiciness of the chicken was no joke! The tenders were moist and the spice was a good level. Friendly service, the only thing that felt a little weird was when paying with the card, I didn't see a skip option. Maybe there was that I missed but I usually prefer to tip with cash after I get my order. I lost the picture I thought I took of my food. But just fyi. Love coming here but next time I think I'll just get it to go. The music was just way too loud. But the restaurant is clean and bright. Our food came out fairly quickly and the employees are always nice, they always give me extra sauce. I got the spicy tender and slider combo with kaleslaw instead of fries. I do enjoy their fries but like to switch it up every once in a while. The chicken was spicy and juicy and I absolutely love putting extra Dave's sauce and honey on my slider. Finally got a chance to eat here. I got the single slider, spice level, hot. I got the Mac and cheese as my side. It was the perfect level of spice and hot combined. It was very enjoyable! The Mac and cheese is very creamy. Dave's special sauce is very addictive. I could probably put it on everything. Tons of seating indoor and outdoor. Very clean and lots of parking. When it gets busy you might have to park on the side as the lot gets a lot of business with other restaurants. Extremely friendly and informative staff. She explained everything to me and asked me level, side, drink etc. Her name was Kelly, she was fantastic. Everyone that was working was great and professional. It's nice to have a Dave's hot chicken in Vancouver now. Last time I went even around lunch time it wasn't horribly busy. Service is efficient and the staff is friendly. I personally prefer the sliders over just getting the tenders. Not a huge fan of the plain slice of bread with the tenders. Sauce is good, fries are good, as well as the Mac n cheese. Nothing is super fancy but it is at least good! Chicken is tender and fries are crispy. The pickles are so good, part of my favorite thing there. First, calling this a "chicken shop" is a bit misleading as they only have chicken tenders served a couple different ways. Oh, fries as well. I decided to wait to do a review after eating a second time at Dave's after I ate once at the "tender shop" in Hillsboro a couple years ago. I tried the one in Vancouver and had similarly disappointing results. The chicken itself may be okay (it is "real" chicken" breast), but the coatings they put on it (whether it be mild or hot) are not good. Too much spice, but not necessarily "hot" spice. Think a ton of cumin and other things that make for too much overpowering flavor. The bun, pickles, and kale slaw are also uninspiring. The "Dave's sauce" is mayonnaisy and ketchupy with a little vinegar added. Bleh. I would not return. read more

To be honest, I do not understand the hype. I ordered the #3. One chicken sandwich and one chicken strip, with crinkle fries and a Coke. The chicken is moist but did I find it tasty? No not at all, nothing special and the coating/batter is where the heat is stored. I opted fir medium and if I ever go again I'll try the hot. Their Dave's sauce is bland and just reminded me if a bad fry sauce. The old Artic Circle had much better. I heard Raising Canes sauce is the best. We will see. The sandwich comes with coleslaw, a chicken strip and 4 big pickles. It was pretty good but not good enough to make a trip back. Fries had a seasoning on them but you wouldn't know it if you didn't see a difference in color. Nice people, loud outdoor patio music and very clean. No line to order on a Thursday at 5pm. Don't get me wrong, the food is fantastic! The people are lovely and very helpful! I want to give 5 stars! The spice level is just really inconsistent. We loved our food this first visit last weekend (opening weekend). My husband got hot and I got mild. He was sweating bullets and couldn't be happier about it. We finally found a place with a spice level he was excited about! I even got the app when I was waiting for my food just knowing this is going to be a new place in our rotation for eating out. We just ordered again this weekend using the app. It's really great that they let you pick the spice level per item. We got the meals with slider and tender in each and we split the spice level. I got mild tender and medium slider. The mild really wasn't spicy at all. The medium sadly wasn't either. They both felt suuuuper mild. Husband got hot slider and medium tender. He wasn't feeling the heat at all. I think we either got the wrong spice level this time or he got a hotter one last time. He was really disappointed that it wasn't spicier. We're definitely going back. The food is still juice and tender, the slaw side was great, the Mac n cheese we had the first time was soooo good! I ordered the #3, which is a chicken tender and a slider, and ordered one in lite mild and one in mild (heat is not really my thing). The chicken tender and chicken on the slider were both large in size but I found them to both be lacking in flavor and on the dry side. The fries are nothing special and the bread tasted like Wonder Bread straight from the bag. Maybe it was my fault for not getting it hotter but between this and Raising Cane's, I'm not sure these chicken tender places are really my speed. read more
