What should have been a great family celebration after a college graduation was completely ruined. We brought a party of 12 because I had always loved Gigi's and wanted my family to try it. We arrived shortly after opening, and the restaurant was mostly empty. Unfortunately, three people in our party never received their food even after waiting over an hour while tables that came in after us finished eating and left. When we politely asked about the missing meals and a dessert that had already been paid for, staff became rude and dismissive. The dessert my son had purchased was sold to another customer who came in after us. When we asked about it, an employee rolled her eyes and argued instead of simply correcting the mistake. Another employee came out loudly apologizing for being short staffed, but did so with such a hateful attitude that it didn't feel like an apology at all. I also mentioned that grease from a baked potato meal had leaked through the basket and onto my daughter's jeans, only so it wouldn't happen to someone else. I wasn't asking for compensation, but was met with another rude response. The worst part was when, after asking about my daughter's missing grilled cheese and soup, the employee at the register loudly called me "a Karen" in front of staff, customers, and my family. I was humiliated for simply asking about food we had already paid for and never received. I understand places get short staffed and mistakes happen. That was never the issue. The issue was how poorly and disrespectfully we were treated afterward. My family's first experience at Gigi's will unfortunately also be their last, and after today, mine too.

After our party who received food finished their meals we inquired again. When I told them I had a Reuben and a cannoli the old lady taking orders was extremely rude this time around and checked on the sandwich but said someone who came in quite some time after me ordered it first. The same old lady taking the orders then called another lady in our party a "Karen". "Oh we have a Karen" is what she said to the lady in the back for asking about her daughters food that didn't come. The lady from the back did apologize and refunded the money for the missing meals which I appreciate. The old lady up front was just so extremely rude, unprofessional, and argumentative why? Because we were checking on our food we never received? Because of this experience I have no intentions on returning to give it a shot. I try to support small businesses every chance I get but it is absurd to have an employee arguing with customers and calling them things like "Karen" because we simply never received our food and for selling what dessert I paid for to someone else. Worst experience I've had in a restaurant. Other 1 star reviews on google show that this isn't a one off bad experience.

So far the food and the service have been very good. I have not found anything to complain about yet. Maybe they have new staff since the bad reviews were left in the past. One thing I have learned is that regardless of the restaurant, it actually takes less time and effort to simply do things right. Maybe this location has learned that as well. I guess if I had to enter a complaint of any kind, it would be about the parking lot. I have rarely been to a Sonic that didn't have a horrible parking lot. There are usually huge cracks in the pavement along with potholes big enough to cause damage. I would suggest repairing the parking lot and also return to smaller signs in the parking stalls. The signs just keep getting bigger which makes it very difficult to have the orders delivered. I usually have to back up just to have room which means the back of the car is out in the traffic.
