Once I was checked in to my hotel room and had settled in, I did a search for a McDonald's in Steinbach and found this one. I was curious and decided to order the same Diet Coke for pickup through the app. It said that all fountain drinks were unavailable. Huh? Perhaps maintenance was scheduled on the machines. I'm glad that I took the chance and got my drinks at a different McDonald's. During my stay in Steinbach, I did visit this restaurant twice. Both times were through the drive-thru. I first got a medium iced oat coffee through the McDonald's app. It was $1. I liked changing things up, as I'm not a regular coffee drinker. However, I do enjoy iced coffee, especially when I can get oat beverage in it. I fetched my drink in the morning before heading into Winnipeg. I got a nice woman at the drive-thru. I provided my order code. She found it and said that I could proceed to the next window. She was cheerful. She gave me my drink. I thanked her and continued westbound. I loved my iced coffee. It was cold. It's wasn't too sweet. It was enjoyable to sip during my drive. On my second visit, I got a large Diet Coke. I also ordered it through the app, but was heading back to the hotel after a nice day in Winnipeg. I got a different female staffer. She was nice. It was the same drill. I gave her my order code. I then picked up my drink. Diet Coke at McDonald's is a treat. It's cold, fizzy, crisp, and delicious. I had a great couple of experiences picking up orders at this McDonald's. I always knew that vegetarians were pushy but that is just straight up RUDE! We immediately took the blame assuming that we put in the knew order wrong but NO after finishing my basically flavourless burger from the lack of meat me and my brother decided to take a look at the labels on the box's to confirm I was our fault but we were surprised to it was actually the incompetence of the workers! Bun-patty ratio was of reasonable size, patty was juicy, and bacon was decently crispy. The onion rings were fine, but probably not something I'd order again. Seating is plentiful in here. Pretty barebones place, don't expect too much in terms of ambiance. Overall I like it. I'll return if I want something besides a fat boy burger.

I am thrilled that the greater Toronto area (GTA) has locations. However, none of them have drive-thrus. All three Winnipeg Jollibee locations do. What is wrong with you, GTA?! I am also ecstatic that Jollibee chose Winnipeg for its first Canadian location. Winnipeg boasts the highest Filipino population per capita and has Canada's third-largest Filipino population. My order comprised these items: - Pineapple juice - Two burger steaks with steamed rice - A side of spaghetti - Peach mango tea I asked if I could do a side of spaghetti. I could. Yay! I love the spaghetti. You get small slices of hot dogs in a tangy-slightly sweet sauce. The noodles were perfectly done. I loved eating it from a cup. It's nice getting drive-thru spaghetti. Fazoli's is the other chain that I know of where you can get spaghetti at a drive-thru. I normally get two peach mango pies. I decided to get one because my order was large. It hit the spot. The exterior was crispy. The peach mango filling was excellent. I was so happy. I loved this location so much that I ate here before I headed to the airport to head home to Toronto. My order was similar, except that I wasn't hangry. I omitted the pineapple juice and spaghetti. My lunch was satisfying. I probably saved a bit having comfort food at Jollibee than dining at the airport. I love this location. The food was yummy. Staff were helpful and friendly. I'm told the Canadian version isn't as spicy as it is in the US. It's not extremely hot, it is tasty. The sides are good, decent-sized portions. Because it is new to Canada, there are usually line-ups. On opening day the lines were hours long. That's quieted down a lot but there's still a line at times. 10 pieces of chicken, two sides and five biscuits will run about $33. Service is friendly but they don't ask if you want it to go, you can always get them to bag it up but that is something to note. I liked it and I would go again, a nice change from KFC or Chicken Chef.
