After many unsuccessful attempts of hiring a hardscape contractor, Saloman arrived punctual to provide an estimate for my backyard project. He completed the work timely as promised and left the entire area better than he found it. Impressed with the backyard hardscape, we asked him to start on our front yard. As expected, Saloman is a true artist that loves his work. Unlike previous contractors, he meticulously trimmed and shaped our palm trees without damaging the trees or any surrounding plants. Also, he even cleaned our roof that was full of debris. The most impressive thing about Saloman is that he works on each project with such care and attention to detail as though it's his own house. And unlike some of the other contractors (we got many other quotes), Saloman's prices were very reasonable and lower than all the other contractors. The only point of feedback I'd have is to ensure that you know what you want done, as he will do exactly what he explains and what you discuss with him. If you are like me and far from an expert (or even knowledgeable) about your yard/sprinklers, ask him and he will very patiently diagnose and explain. Otherwise, if you simply point to *specific* issues, he will expertly take care of them to the exclusion of any more digging (no pun intended.) As an example, there was some collection of water around the base of a repaired sprinkler - he had done exactly what we discussed: replaced the sprinkler itself, but he had not worked on anything around it. Not his fault, and when I asked about it, he explained what the other issue(s) might be. Less scrupulous people probably would've taken the opportunity to upsell me. Even after the work was done, and his payment was in hand, I still found him in my front yard, ensuring that his work was done right and polished. How many people would've done that, instead of just driving off after being paid? I'll definitely be calling Brandon the next time I have any sprinkler issues.

I found this after they left. I called the owner Scott and asked him to help clean it off our brick entry. He said he'd talk to his people, but never called back. I called him again a week later and he now wanted me to send him a photo. This was particularly odd as it doesn't really matter if he looked at a picture. I sent him the photo, and again I got no phone call back. I got no promise that anyone was going to come out to clean it. Nothing! This is sad. His communication skills don't seem to be in evidence. He doesn't take care to make sure his employees do things correctly. Even I know you don't lay a chain saw on concrete or bricks without something to catch the dripping oil.

For background, I am a first time homeowner and our new place hadn't had any landscaping done for the past 4-6 months. We have 4 palm trees, a bunch of trees, shrubs, plants, and sprinklers that needed attention badly! We decided to take some trees out, trim and tidy most everything else, and remove the remaining trees and plants that were either dead or did not match what we envision for our backyard. I had 8 different companies/people come by and give me a quote for removing trees, hedging, planting new plants, cutting some shurbs and trees down, as well as cleaning up the entire backyard. I was fed up with outrageous quotes, people not showing up, people not responding, and overall TERRIBLE customer service. I get it, it's COVID-19 time and most people are remodeling and people are busy, but at LEAST be professional! So, I called Alejandro and left him a message. He called me back the next day and we discussed a time for him to come by and see my backyard to give me a quote. He was punctual, professional, and respectful. English is his second language, but he understood everything I asked. When all was said and done, he quoted me a very fair quote compared to the other 8. It wasn't the cheapest, but because he knew what he was doing, was professional, communicate, and punctual, I decided to give him a try. Boy am I glad I did! We LOVE our backyard now. All the dead plants were removed and he planted new plants for us (which we bought from Lowes). He also removed the trees we didn't want as well as trimmed, hedge, and cleaned up all our palm trees, regular trees, bushes, and shrubs. He also adjusted some of my sprinklers and gave me some tips! We are super happy with his work and I decided to leave him a review because I am so happy with the work he did. He cleaned up after himself and even went over my neighbors (with her permission) to blow and clean the dirt/rubble that got into her backyard from trimming our palms! After the initial day we had agreed on mowing the front and back lawn for us every week on Thursdays. Well...the first week they showed up on a different day not Thursday. In the weeks to follow they would show up on random days which made it difficult for us to coordinate with them so they could enter our backyard which didn't get mowed. Then they didn't show up for a couple of weeks which was also frustrating. The longest was three weeks without them showing up and no one ever contacted me or notified me.
