Suddenlink is unreliable as an internet provider. The service suffers from frequent interruptions. When you need their help, you had best be prepared to be placed on hold for a very long time. So far, I have been on hold for 20 minutes. I even tried calling at an off time. It does not seem to have helped. The fees charged are high and are not warranted by the poor service. You all have got to be the worst business on the planet. You charged us $60 for a missed service appointment when the guy didn't even show up. My husband is working from home and was on another call when your service guy called (didn't come to the door) and then wouldn't answer the phone when we both tried to call him back at least a dozen times in the next 30 minutes. People can't just sit around and wait for a call during a 6-hour window. When we called customer service, we were told the charge was valid and wouldn't be removed. Consider yourselves lucky that you basically have a monopoly on this area, and we're forced to use your services. It's the only way you could get by with treating your customers like crap, especially during a global pandemic. read more

This company is by far the most pathetic excuse for customer service I've ever seen and they do not care because they are a monopoly. It's ridiculous when your cable and internet is out ever other day but you're still charged for the full month then when you schedule an appointment and the idiots done show up you get charged $64 for a missed appointment!!!! Really??? This is a great place to pay your bill and have human contact, instead of a voice from overseas on the phone. Suddenlink couldn't provide an adequate signal for either cable or internet despite many attempts over several years. By the end I had no cable channels and a poor internet signal.They asked to try one more time but never showed up. I finally called to discontinue service and had the call line personnel offer multiple inducements which I of course declined. As a courtesy I expl the various issues. They finally agreed to cancel my service but then said I had to stay on the line to complete the process. After a 30 minut wait a woman (stateside I believe) answered and said she heard I had a number of issues and wanted to know the details. I told her I had already explained and just was canceling, she replied that I had to provide her the information and if I wanted the process to proceed timely that I should just cooperate. There's a serious problem with your technicians or your diagnostics at the call center trying to set up cable cards for use with Tivo. The only answer seems to be, gee I can't do anything else - you need a technician to come out and put in a new cable card. You know, that's not hard to do. I've already swapped it out once. It shows pairing at your end but the programming won't authorize the HD channels which I've paid for and no one knows how to fix it. I got tired of Suddenlink blaming Tivo so I set up a three-way call to eliminate the finger-pointing. The call center told me that they all do everything; that you have no one who specializes in cable cards. Maybe you should. They scheduled a service call for me and they said all the person coming to the house would do would be to swap the card. Really? That's such a waste of money. No wonder the bill is so high. I have another TV & Tivo that work just fine. Doesn't anyone know how to fix this? It's pairing, but all of the HD channels say not authorized. This is the second card; same problem. I don't see how a third or fourth card will help. read more
