Okay, it's a store filled with alcohol, that much is true. But their selection of craft beer is truly impressive. Back in early June I was down in this area with my girlfriend and her family and happened to notice a sign about local beers inside. You don't have to say much more to get me through those doors! Pip's is filled with all types of liquor, from wine to liqueurs and everything in between. Straight when you walk in is a couple of taps for growler fills. Then on the left side of the place are several aisles of six packs and single beers, many of local (Maryland, Delaware, Virginia) variety. Just call me a kid in a candy store, basically skipping through the aisle with six pack holders in both hands, filling them with different brews I can only purchase in the area. Price-wise, the singles I grabbed were pretty cheap and added to the awesomeness. The only things that weren't so awesome were the expiration dates. I skipped over a couple of bottles because they were about six months past their shelf life. Word of caution: check the bottle. Also, I'm not sure if Pip was the one who was behind the register, but whoever this elderly gent was, he didn't exude friendliness. But that only loses a star for me. Overall, if/when I end up back in good ol' Chestertown I'll be sure to swing by and pick up more craft beer from Pip's Discount Liquors. I may have to be a little weary of the label, but I'm sure I can fill at least one six pack (I filled two this past time).

The staff here are rude, arrogant, and act like they're above their customers. No sense of customer service whatsoever. What's frustrating is that every other liquor store in Centreville offers genuine country hospitality -- friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, the kind of treatment you'd expect in a small town. But not this one. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other options in town that will actually appreciate your patronage.

I especially like this spot because they carry the seltzers I can't find often. There is an ATM inside, the cashiers are always friendly and the inside is clean. The deli has reasonable prices and makes good sandwiches. They now have chicken cheesesteaks which I tried, the chicken is more of a chunk style and some pieces were fatty. The roast beef and turkey subs are made well and stuffed with meat. I appreciate that they put the toppings on the inside of the protein, I feel the distribution of the sandwich contents make the perfect bite each time. The sub rolls are soft and not too big. Keep in mind there is no seating or tables inside. I recommend this shop to anyone who wants both a meal and to stock up on weekend drinks in Rock Hall! We will be back!

There's nothing more aggravating to me than walking into an establishment that we spend money in and not even being acknowledged by the owners. There is another place here in town, which I will not name, that I purposely say hello to the owner when I walk in, and he will not even say hello let alone look up at me. it's all about customer service! If they don't have something you want, all you have to do is ask! Us as well of friends have asked for certain products and they are there before we know it. The other great thing about red light is that their hours are longer than any other place here in town. that might not sound much to Sam but when you are entertaining, I need to possibly head out for additional spirits. You can always count on them to be open! I would like to add to this family also owns other businesses in town. because of how personable they are, and what they do for our community, we will always patronize every business that they have!

The owner even offered to buy specific whiskey i was looking to buy. They even had cigars which I was able to buy for my father in law. Amazing staff, well stocked alcohol and overall great experience. Will definitely recommend,especially since the owner will order whatever it is you're looking for, which in my head equals great customer service and 5 stars.
