My car gets clean but this is not my preferred car wash. I once bought a pass for regular monthly washes but it was not that useful, so I dropped it. Occasionally the payment processor doesn't work. The value is in getting a free use vacuum at any level of car wash purchase. read more

Pros and cons of the SudStar car wash: Pro: free vacuums!! Heck yeah! Biggest reason why I will return here are the free vacuums. That way if by chance one of the vacuums is clogged or not working, you can just use another vacuum and no money wasted! Con: The vacuum area needs some TLC. The mud/irrigation around the vacuum area is a problem(see photo). Not a pig pen by any means, but the trash can is on the back side of the pole and if you are throwing away any trash you have to walk in the mud. Pro: friendly employee at the car wash entrance! Super helpful and even gives a free packaged wipe to wipe the dashboard Con: no towels to help wipe down the car. Brown bear has this feature, hope that SudStar can copy it :) Overall I will go back for another car wash, it did a good overall job. If it was closer to me, I would consider the monthly plans! read more

I am a huge fan of this car wash. The people who work here are always kind, they hand out free dash wipes, and they offer free vacuum use. The reclaimed water is not stinky and the suds clean each and every time. My car comes out clean from front to back as the brushing does an excellent job. I will share that Brown Bear has taken over Kitsap County and they have damaged my car on many occasions (pulled and bent license plates and mirror frame). This Poulsbo Sudstar locale is topnotch and I will not go elsewhere. read more

I, unfortunately, had a terrible experience today (2/22/2021)  at the Sudstar "car wash" (term used loosely) in Port Orchard at 12;17 PM.. First, it was unclear as to the different types of services available and some crazy on-screen woman kept interrupting the transaction by asking for "an Account".  I asked for help (3X) and the "attendant" finally appeared.  I asked him which car wash I should choose if I wanted my wheels to be cleaned and he recommended the "Premium" option, which also (supposedly) included vacuuming the vehicle interior and wiping down the dash  board. NONE, NOT ONE, of the promised services occurred. I was told  by the attendant that I had to vacuum out my own vehicle.  When I got out of the "car wash" I drove over to the vacuums. No one arrived to "vacuum"nor to "wipe down my dash board". Also, the wheels of my vehicle were still filthy.  I went to get the attendant and he told me that he didn't have a "brush" to clean my wheels.  He handed me a couple of tiny packaged wipes. Also, my left (driver's side) rear-view mirror is all scratched up, as it was being flipped backwards and forwards by the brushes  in the "car wash".  And my windshield is still all streaked from the greasy crap that was sprayed onto my vehicle.  The driver's side door is still dirty.  I received all of this for a mere $15.00! This isn't a "business", this is THEFT. read more

This place is gross. I paid $19 for a car wash and it wasn't great. Then I went to the vacuum area and there wash trash EVERYWHERE. Additionally there were super aggressive crows going through the trash and trying to snap things out of my hands as I was leaning out the car. I didn't even vacuum because I was worried the birds would snap at my kids. Management needs to keep this area clean, and providing locking trashcans. read more

Brought my VW Euro here; this is a treasured vehicle. We care about it for it's 26 years old and still a wonderful ride. During the car wash, the attendants came out to my van following for she realized the system damaged my driver mirror; taking pictures and completing forms. Then I noticed it bent my front license plate and was told this happens a lot. So I was informed " management will contact me ". Nothing since. I contacted owners via the website. Nothing. Simply ... I took my 2005 Accord thru the Port Orchard Sudstar carwash right after it opened months ago. They were still fine-tuning and adjusting the equipment so the wash was free. I was not impressed with the wash. So, I figured to give it a few months and try again. I paid for the premier wash this time, that was supposed to do everything including the wheels. Similar results. The front middle of my car didn't get clean. The headlight covers needed wiping also. My chrome wheels were barely touched. Horrible job. Brown Bear is soooooooo much better. So if you need your car kinda cleaned, Sudstar will do just fine. read more

I was not pleased with this car wash experience. I paid $19 ( premium wash and two 4 minute vacuum tokens). My car wasn't terribly well cleaned by the wash itself... There was visible dirt left all around the car. And the vacuums are worthless. I mean, literally worthless. I wasted one coin and tried to get my car vacuumed out and it wouldn't even suck up paper. So I moved to to next one and used my other coin and found it to be just as ineffective. I ended up going home and spending 2 hours finishing up the job that I paid a lot of money to get started. The attendant was VERY nice. She was the bright spot of this review for sure. I won't be back. read more

I usually wash my car at home. I was in Silverdale, on my way back to Kingston, and stopped at Walmart and thought I'd treat myself to a car wash. The young man at the entrance did a great job of pre-spraying the bumpers and lower body panels. The wash job was great, but then - as I reached the final brushes and blowers, I heard a loud noise from the left rear side of my car. As soon as I got the green light, I pulled forward and quickly got out of my car. A piece of trim around the left rear window was missing. A young man was there, towel-drying for tips. I told him his car wash had ripped a piece of trim off the car, and asked him to retrieve it. He OBNOXIOUSLY, RUDELY said - "not my car wash". I couldn't believe what I had just heard. The car wash equipment had damaged my car, and all this person was interested in was getting me out of the way so he could towel-dry the next vehicle for a tip. I ended up walking back to the entrance to the wash, and talked the first young man. He promptly went into the wash bay, located the trim piece, and returned it to me. Not a good experience. It's a good car wash, but I'll go back to doing it myself at home. The obnoxious LUNATIC at the exit has no business serving the public. NONE. Sadly, our society has raised a generation of children who'd rather sit home and play video games, or collect unemployment, rather than work. Every business in Poulsbo has "help wanted" signs. That rude young man pandering for tips is better than nothing I guess. But not much better. The young man who resolved the situation was calm, considerate and professional. He'll go places in life. The young man with the towel - forget it. He has NO BUSINESS dealing with the public in a customer service environment. read more

Best car wash and pleasant people. I have a Land Rover and this car wash actually gets the back clean!

First of all, there is no communication about how things work so that's just awkward. Also, I paid $11 for a car wash and my car came out still very dirty especially the front, lower sides, and back but worse than that, my hood is full of scratches that were definitely not there prior to going through the wash. Lastly, I can't get ahold of anyone to report this or have it taken care of. I will not go back there and I recommend others avoid it too. read more

Just tried the new SudStar car wash in Port Orchard. Don't waste your money. Looks pretty high tech, delivers very low tech crappy wash. The entire rear end of my Explorer was still filthy, as were the recessed areas for door handles. I will not be back! read more

Took our '17 Silverado to the new SudStar in Port Orchard. We got the $15 wash. Truck came out sparkling and well washed including the tailgate. They did have an attendant hand wash the gate. The only thing it did not do a good job on, was the lower part of the rear window in front of the box. We will definitely go back again. read more

A total waste of money if you have a van or suv. We ran our new Honda Odessey thru yesterday and we estimate at least 30% of the vehicle was filthy or unwashed, Keep looking for a decent car wash and save your money on this one! John G read more

Visited yesterday for the first time. Bought the cheapest wash for $6. Assistant at the beginning of the wash was very friendly and he pressure-washed around the car but after I got home I was disappointed to see that the bottom 3rd, including the tires and wheels, were not very clean. Because the car wash equipment doesn't seem to be designed to reach these areas very well, more attention needs to be paid to these areas with the pressure washing at the beginning. read more

Great platinum wash. The only thing that kept me from 5 stars is that the car wash sometimes leaves the area on the front passenger/driver's windows near the mirrors dirty. Wish they'd fix that. But the platinum wash makes your vehicle shiny and like new. read more
