She had literally been shorn like a sheep to the point that she more closely resembled a yellow lab than a golden retriever. She also had several nick marks on her coat and around her ear to the point that I had to take her to the vet this morning because she had scratched her right ear so much that it started to bleed. I could literally see the clipper marks in what was left of her fur. Absolutely no breed understanding or recognition from these folks.

The drop off and pickup is very quick and easy. When I realized I would need to board her last minute, I called and they were very accommodating. My baby seems happy and tired when she leaves there. And all too eager, in my opinion, to jump out of the car when we arrive. The owner is attentive and friendly. We live across the street from the Birmingham Animal Hospital & Resort. It just opened up. We can…read moreliterally walk our dog there. My dog, a 6-year-old French Bulldog is reactive. That means it is very hard to deal with at a Vet office. The owner met me one day and said, "Bring Otis in during your walk. We will give him treats and he can get familiar with our place. I did just that, and Otis started to take me to the front door so he could see his new friends (unbelievable) and get treats. This morning, I took Otis in for an actual visit with the Vet. A vet assistant was educated in these kinds of dogs. She educated me, gave me some sedatives for the next visit and explained that these small bullies are simply like this sometimes. Otis got a shot for the flu (I highly recommend) stool sample, heart and teeth checked. He also got a q-tip in the ear. I had to hold him tight, but it was fine. The staff showed calm professionalism. The facility is pristine, and the parking is plentiful. They have day care, VIP Day care and boarding. Amazing place and so nice for us. I highly recommend.

Both dogs had a vaccine resistant kennel cough and had not been treated for it, one dog had pneumonia. I chose this place because it had a veterinary clinic attached and was assured my pets would be seen if needed. This definitely was not the case. I spent 3X the amount I spent on boarding trying to save my dogs from what they caught at this facility. The vet at the emergency care mentioned the volume of animals at the facility was probably a contributing factor. Never again! Don't be fooled by this new and modern looking place.

When we've forgotten toys there, they've kept them and given them to us the next time - a huge plus in my books. They also will give your dog medicine there if he needs it, which is another added bonus, as well as tell you if they see anything wrong or abnormal with your dog. We already knew Echo was limping, but they made it a point to tell us, which I really appreciated. Maybe they'll open a branch in Trussville soon. I do wish they'd take more pictures and send more of their 'pawgress' reports. We rarely see Echo in any pictures, and he's never gotten one of the reports. Maybe one day...

I've gotten my dog groomed here for 3 years. As a pretty consistent customer, I've worked with…read moreEmily and Eli when they had to reschedule me last minute or cancel. I was unable to make a rescheduled (by them) appointment and called but no answer. I took my dog there for a new appointment and was told that the price would be the same as usual ($90). After 3 1/2 hours of my dog being there, (no bath no grooming) they tell me over the phone that I have to pay $120 before they start or " just come get your dog". Of 3 years of my dog getting groomed, I've never had to pay beforehand. When I get there, I try to clear confusion but I get over talked by the groomer. When I ask to get my dog and leave, he tells me that it'll be fine if I just pay upfront. I demanded my dog and we left.
