She made sure I was comfortable throughout the process before, during, and after her services. Here are some examples: During the consultation phase, she took her time to ask me how I wanted to look. She considered my make up likes, make up dislikes, and challenges to guide me to a brow shape/color I loved. Our initial consultation took some time, but I appreciated how well thought out it was. AJ also convinced me to go darker with my application and color than my original plan, but it was the best decision thanks to AJ! I'm so glad AJ convinced me to go darker--it's what made my brows last SO long. It's been almost a year since my touch up and it STILL looks amazing. During the tattooing phase, she ensured I was comfortable throughout the entire session. She was constantly checking in with my pain level and paused when I asked. She never hesitated to continuously apply numbing cream. What took this service to the next level was the fact that AJ took the time to walk me through each steps of the procedure and explain why she needed to do so. I think that comes from her experience and knowledge from her nursing days! She went as far as counting down how many "passes" she was doing so that I was aware and prepared for how long the needle was going to be on my skin. She even guided me into some deep breaths! The best part of the service was honestly the fact that we had GREAT conversation. It's as if I was just hanging out with my best friend! Just when you think the customer service stops after the actual service. It doesn't! Post service she gave me a little take home healing kit that included some high quality, cruelty free, AND environmentally friendly products like lotions, ointments, and more. I mean, even the cotton swabs, brow brushes, and cotton pads were environmentally friendly. What a nice touch! I especially appreciated the fact she personally texted me asking me how I was doing and how my brows were healing. Even though the service was over, she still showed that she cared about my well-being and my brows. Overall, AJ just hits a standard of excellence with her services and I can't recommend her enough. The stylist took an "emergency" phone call in the middle of the cut, saying to the caller, "no, it's not important, she's just some girl." He said this in French, but if he'd taken but a minute to ask my name & perhaps a question, he'd have found out that I lived in Paris for a time, and worked for Disney World directing French-speaking guests. So needless to say, I understood every word of his blatant disrespect. So to recap, bad haircut, worse customer service.
