Even over time they never got any better. It always felt like she never genuinely cared and just tried to see me as quickly as she possibly could. She would constantly talk to me in a very conceded, condescending manner, was very cold, and made me feel dumb for expressing my concerns or asking any questions. She would also roll her eyes whenever I experienced pain during my exams... I am now 21 years old and have finally gotten an answer for the issues I had been having (and expressed to her) ever since I was 15/16; I was recently diagnosed with stage 2/3 Endometriosis and had my laprasopic surgery about a month ago. My Endo symptoms severely started around 15 years old, and whenever I would express my concerns regarding them to Dr. Tuchman she would gaslight me, tell me "you're fine it's just your period", "everyone has bad period pain", "there's not much else I can do", "take tylonel", and just didn't seem to care about getting to the bottom of my serve pain at such a young age. I will NEVER forget this one particular appointment where she was judging me and even started to lecture me in front of a nurse in training for having marks on my chest, telling me that "whoever did this to you doesn't love you. this isn't love". Please keep in mind I was 17 years old. It makes me sad to think that I could have been saved of years of pain (and fearing the gynecologist) if a doctor believed me and took my symptoms with as much seriousness as I did. We also always used to have multiple issues with the insurance, waiting extremelyyy long to be seen, and the girls at the front desk were not the friendliest. She honestly just totally ruined going to the gyno for me at such a young age. I was already nervous enough with it being my first time. When I tried going to different doctors I was genuinely so scared- and quickly realized that it should be a comfortable and friendly experience, where no questions are dumb and I can speak up about pain. I have finally found and been with an amazing gynecologist who takes her time with me during my exams (40 mins minimum), makes me feel extremely comfortable, assures me that there's no such thing as "dumb questions", and takes the time to talk with me; she is so sweet and personable and genuinely caring! I wish I could go back in time to 16 year old me and never step foot inside this office and find a doctor who would have taken my pain seriously and just be nice.

Let's try this ..Ask a patient's name. Ask how the patient heard about Dr. Rohr. Ask what you can do to help a patient. THEN explain that you take very few insurance policies and you want to make sure the patient is covered. Perhaps this is a very small detail to most, but you are caring for human beings with real medical issues who want to feel like they matter. Asking one's name takes very little time. And most likely, most of your potential patients have already checked with their insurance company to see if you take their insurance.

I know this because she asked me if I was allergic to shelfish only which i did not have crossed off and she would have known this if she had looked at the sheet I had signed outside the office. If you are reading this mam you have probably cost me my life. I am suffering tremendously losing weight and sweating every night for the past month. I cannot go to the bathroom for ten days and I do not absorb my food intake because that radiation has damaged my neurological system. I woke up on fire the day after with extreme poisening. I could feel the radiation coming out of my skin. If the woman who was so seemingly in a rush to get me into the machine reads this, understand this.. i will forgive you but I would also appreciate it if you quit your job tomorrow and found another line of work. You will remember me very easily I am the one you sent through twice and the first time the instructions where in spanish and when you did that you said Opps sorry ! Horrible what is happening to me. There is a very good chance that your negligence will cost me my life. The severe symptoms I have a month and a half latter are increasingly life threatening. I hope I live through this but something tells me this will kill me and i wont be the first. Look it up people. Cat scan radiation poisening... Yeah many can take it but what if you like me cannot. I would never take it. I would do an mri first or some other less invasive measure. This is a horrible experience but as they say things happen for a reason and if this is how I am meant to go well so be it but dam i wish I had a choice in this. i wish i could go back in time. i would leave that place in a minute and run for my life.
