Negligent and Traumatizing IUD Procedure - Avoid This Provider I had an IUD replacement appointment with Dr. Lucelle Del Rosario on January 14, 2024, and it was one of the most distressing and unprofessional medical experiences I've ever had. Due to her failure to review my medical history and ask critical questions, she INSERTED A SECOND IUD WITHOUT REMOVING THE FIRST ONE, which had been in place for five years. Dr. Del Rosario was the one who originally placed my first IUD five years earlier and instructed me to schedule its replacement. This was clearly documented in my medical records, which she NEGLECTED TO REVIEW during the procedure. When I expressed my pain and confusion, she only realized her mistake after I mentioned my previous IUD. Instead of taking accountability or providing a proper solution, she INSTRUCTED ME TO KEEP BOTH IUDS IN PLACE FOR ANOTHER FIVE YEARS, despite this being an unprecedented and questionable recommendation. EVERY OTHER MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL I CONSULTED AFTER THIS INCIDENT AGREED THAT THIS ADVICE WAS NOT APPROPRIATE and that both IUDs should be removed immediately. I've been a patient of Dr. Del Rosario for almost 10 years. In December I contacted her office to confirm that she can resend over a prescription that I never received from a virtual office visit back in October (no urgency whatsoever) turns out it was sent to another pharmacy on file. No problem, I provided the updated pharmacy and confirmed what medications I'd be receiving. What has been so bothersome is that I received a very upsetting voicemail from Dr. Rosario who seemed angered, expressing she does not like being told she didn't do something when she did and hangs up. I found it very odd and was extremely confused as to why a professional would leave a voicemail like this and where this animosity was derived from. I've never experienced anything like this from her or any staff in her office. I immediately called back but unfortunately it was after office hours. The next morning I expressed my confusion to one of the nurses and explained that I have had the upmost respect for this doctor. I've traveled from NJ just to visit this dr! It was then mentioned I should find another doctor as she no longer wants to see me as a patient. Now at this point this escalated to a point it should never have. I requested to have Dr. Rosario contact me to set things right even if I needed to find a more local doctor. I also left a message for the nurse I initially spoke to who would be returning to the office the following day. Since at this point it seemed like there was an improper message relayed. Third day I haven't heard from Dr. Rosario, I left another message for her and spoke to, I believe Michelle, who works at the front desk and also received the initial phone call. I apologized if she felt I was being belligerent or seemed upset. This nurse literally told me she did not get any of that from our conversation and she's not sure how this could've escalated and apologized to me! Also said she would leave another message to have dr. Rosario return my call. I'm writing this review because I still have not heard back from Dr. Rosario after 4 weeks! And as a professional she has been dodging me?? I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or no longer accepted my insurance or whatever the deeper rooted issue may have been it still would've been nice for her to contact me back and have a civil conversation. I've raved about this DR to everyone I know also leaving a lot of reviews especially on ZocDoc. (Which she is no longer on) I'm not sure how it's come to this from simply asking a doctor to resend the prescription but this is extremely unprofessional and those visiting her should have the right to know about this random outburst that leaves me having to find another GYN mid pandemic. read more

I never post a review, but this experience was awful. I waited one hour and 45 minutes in the waiting room before I left without seeing the doctor. The receptionist didn't seem to care (in fact, she seemed bothered) that I was wondering why the wait was so long. At one hour and thirty minutes into my wait I pulled out my phone to check the doctor reviews (something I should have done before scheduling an appointment) to see the long list of negative reviews below. I've moved around quite a bit and had multiple doctors and Dr. DelRosario's office is the worst experience I have ever had. In my four years as a patient there were always long wait times, Dr. DelRosario never remembered me or reviewed my file in advance. My appts always seemed rushed and she shows no compassion. I always felt uncomfortable asking questions because she seemed irritated with questions. And the customer service is a nightmare! The receptionist is one of the rudest receptionists I've ever dealt with. Always rude and impatient in person and even hung up on me over the phone once. Do not just walk away from this office RUN. Another review on Yelp that was "not recommended " is dead on accurate on what you will experience at this office. Post dated 3/30/2018 by Daniela F. I'm not comfortable airing my personal medical issues but I applaud the ladies who were brave enough to do so. What I can say is the office staff have no clue what they are doing. I called multiple times to speak to the manager only to be told " she took off today, she's not in today. I call at 9:30 am "manager doesn't come in until after 10:00" I've contacted my insurance company and Pro-Health (this office's network) If you do go here be prepared to make multiple appts because the more they stretch out your annual exam the more they get to gouge the insurance and your copays since it's the only way they can get a co -pay from an annual exam. I went to see Dr. Rosario after my last doctor of over 5 years stopped taking my insurance. She was professional, concise, and clear. I didn't feel rushed, she gave me plenty of time to ask questions and to respond. The office staff is very nice and competent as well. read more

I switched doctors and I went to see Dr del Rosaio for my annual pap smear and a cyst on my ovary, I thought she was great she answered all of my questions she took time to explain everything and she was very informative, I also had to go in for an emergency visit because I was having pain and they got me in right away and she was very good with me, also the staff at the office is very nice, and the office is clean. I would recommend her to other people and I thought she was great. read more

I really wanted to like Dr.Del Rosario but she was awful! During my pregnancy I would leave her office crying after every appointment because of how disrespectful she was, she acts like a "know it all", does a horrible job at explaining things, has no compassion for her patients, I was going through a very tough pregnancy and not once did she act like she cared, my mother and I both left her practice because of how we were treated by her! Her receptionist is also very rude and does not know how to do her job, please stay away! :( read more

I made an appointment at 12:15pm and was finally seen at 1:20 pm. In the meantime, I saw numerous patients come in and leave their phone number with the receptionist.Apparently it is not unheard of, to have to be called/ paged back (eventhough there is supposed to be an appointment) to the doctor's office, because she is ready to see you NOW!?! So after that, waste of an hour of my life, I finally saw her. She was nice AT FIRST. Then, when I told her I had some question she seemed put off. If she wasn't writing down some notes than her arms were folded in a defensive manner. Even when she answered questions they were in a snotty manner. One of her answers ACTUALLY WAS: "Well does it work? (my answer was yes)." Well that's your answer."-HUH?!? nice bed side manner! I know I am not a doctor and I may have asked a stupid question but you are my doctor, I am paying for your time, the least you could do is not be nasty. During my visit, she kept pinching me causing me an UNDESCRIBABLE AMOUNT OF PAIN! One hour later, I AM STILL IN PAIN FROM THAT VISIT! SHE WAS TERRIBLE! I went to see her after my insurance changed and she was very close to home. I was so sad leaving my other DR so I was hoping the experience would be ok to say the least. I didn't wait too long about 20 mins, the second I sat down she seemed like she didn't care and was just seeing another patient. I have several bumps on my breasts- she didn't feel a single one. I had to say something to her before she "felt" one because I thought one was getting larger. If she read my chart which I transferred she would have seen this. When I asked her a few questions she just seemed very quick to answer and not care. She also told me names of patients she sees that I know, because we have the same last name but aren't close family members (think 3rd cousins)- hello HIPPA! An OB appointment is a very personable experience and I felt like crying. A year later I was able to return to my old DR because my insurance switched back (yay!) and I need a prescription filled in the meantime. Since Dr. Del Rosario was the last DR I saw within the year I had to get the prescription filled with her, she wouldn't fill it for even two months because I wasn't returning. The prescription- birth control is annoying to go on and off so I wasn't happy. BEWARE!!!! Billing practices are questionable and likely unethical. Note: her office bills under "specialist" so she can collect the higher copay; my copay was $50. Here's my experience... FIRST APPT: I went there for my annual check-up (no copay required) and she asked to come back on separate date when her technician was in the office to do a pelvic sonogram as part of my annual. SECOND APPT: I came back to HER office for the sono and no one asked me for copay. Office called to asked that I make separate appointment with Dr. Del Rosario to go over the sono results. THIRD APPT: On this day I was asked to remit a copay of $100 because they were also collecting the copay for the 2nd appointment (i.e., the sono that was part of annual visit) which I was told was part of my annual. I paid $50 and refused to pay copay for 2nd appt until I spoke with Dr. Del Rosario. We then went to her office to go over results. Firstly, she had no idea why she even sent me for the sono and I had to remind her that she said it was part of my annual checkup. I was very upset and explained to her that if the sono was part of my annual it should not require a copay, inasmuch as my annual doesn't require a copay. After some back and forth, where I stated I would find another OBGYN if this was how they billed their patients, Dr. Del Rosario assured me that it would be taken care of. Whether she meant her copay or not, I do not know. But since I had already paid $50 that day, I presumed that what I just paid would get applied to the sono appt, since it was done at her office and her receptionist was the person collecting same, or that it would simply be waived. Cut to present day, I received a letter from a collections agency for $50. I called to inquire and was told that it was a bill from DR. BERGMAN for a pelvic sonogram done at his office and the referring doctor was DR. DEL ROSARIO. I have no idea who Dr. Bergman is, I have never seen him, and I have never been to his office. I called Dr. Del Rosario regarding the issue and she acted like we NEVER had a conversation about the bill, said that she would have never told me she'd take care of it because she doesn't do billing for that office (basically calling me a liar). I explained that the sono was done at HER office by her technician and went over the entire conversation that was had at Appt. #3 - verbatim! She said she'd look into it then called me back to say that her office never tried to collect for Dr. Bergan but instead were trying to collect for another doctor (for a breast sono - not pelvic sono). I replied that it was impossible because the breast sono had not even been done yet! Her response: well I never said that I'd waive or take care of it because I can't do that. BOTTOMLINE - she unnecessarily ordered a pelvic sonogram (something I did not even need and that she had no idea why she even requested it) so I'd be billed for that, under the same of a doctor that I have never even seen, and made it so that the sono was scheduled on a separate date so that I could be billed for the copay, too (a clever to double bill without raising any red flags). I will be disputing this bill and filing a complaint with the appropriate agencies to look into her billing practices. read more

Stay away. I saw her for a recurring yeast infection. I called 2x during the week to follow up on tests; staff would not give me results over the phone, nor would she come to the phone - even though I was in extreme discomfort. When I saw her a week later, she asked if I had taken "the medication." I said what medication? She had forgotten to tell me she had prescribed something! But she said, "I wrote it in my notes, here, see?" What does it matter what she wrote down, if she forgot to communicate that to me, especially with all the pain I was in? I would have remembered her telling me to take something - I was desperate! I then asked her about the "cervical warts" she said she had seen at the last appointment, which was upsetting and strange for me to hear about. But this time, she couldn't remember seeing any and "hadn't made a note of it." Now she was looking at me like I was crazy, when 7 days earlier she had told me those very words - I wasn't making them up! She was also very unfeeling when I was experiencing very heavy bleeding at a separate time - she has a stone-faced bedside manner. Knowing I wanted to leave, I asked staff to send me a copy of my blood test results and filled out a waiver. They did not know how to print it out and give it to me right then and there (I'm not making this up.) I asked for it to be sent by mail. That was two months ago - still never received it. read more

If I could give Del Rosario 0 stars I would. She was my first OB/GYN which I started seeing at age 17. I had recently become sexually active and wanted birth control. I explained to her that I used condoms but wanted extra protection. She proceeded to give me a lecture about how i shouldn't be having sex at such a young age and she hopes i don't expect this guy to stick around because feelings tend to change after HS..... Excuse me?!?! What sort of doctor says these things to a patient?? I ended up staying with her for about 2 years and every six months she would refuse to refill my birth control prescription without coming in for a pap smear first, which she made extremely uncomfortable, i often left in tears because she was so rough and would make me bleed. I recall her saying to me one time "I don't understand why you are squirming so much, if you can handle a penis inside you, you can handle this". That was the last day I went to see her. Come to find out, the age to start giving pap smears is 21 years old according to the American Gynecologist Society!! And especially not twice a year!! She was most likely just looking to bill my insurance and get the money. When I would call her with questions she would never return my phone calls. I have actually called twice in the last week with no success. She is hands down the worst doctor I have ever visited. She is cold, mean, and has no sort of bedside manner. terrible communication with office- staff not accommodating. dr missed huge diagnosis and in results having to go to multiple doctors for second - third - forth opinion - found cancer cells in body that should of been picked up long before having to be forced to do surgery. trying to retrieve of medical records was a hassle. i would not recommend anyone to come here to deal with anyone in this office. horrible experience read more
