My dog was very excited to eat the cake and really enjoyed the leftovers, which froze well.

We got this adorable cake for a party we had this weekend to celebrate my dog being done with his cancer treatment, as well as birthday celebrations for my sister's dog Tulip and my sister-in-law's dog Daisy. As you can see, the cake was decorated with squirrels (my dog's favorite thing in the world) along with Tulips and Daisies. The cake was so darn cute and it mad the dessert table look beautiful. The dogs absolutely loved the cake and ate it with gusto! I think the flavor we got was peanut butter. Every single one of the 9 dogs served ate their piece, even the picky dogs! The cake really made this event feel special. The owner also seems really really sweet (see what I did there?) I will definitely use this bakery for the next dog party we throw!

Update - the owner contacted me right away and made things right. Simple email error. I wish I would have actually received the cake that I ordered. All the initial details were ironed out via email and then radio silence. I was never sent the link to pay and my last 4 emails went unanswered. A simple reply saying you could no longer make the cake would of went a long way. read more

I love the fact that she can customize your cakes anyway you want, I let her know that my dog loves raspberries and she made them part of the decoration. We are a branch of Shaggy Dog Bakery, using the same amazing all natural human-grade ingredient recipes to provide amazing treats and specialty cakes for your pets! We know that many pets have dietary needs so we can make adjustments to our recipes so all animals have a fun and yummy celebration!

History

Established in 2016.

Sugah's Cookies was created when the owner of Shaggy Dog Bakery was looking to travel the country and passed on delicious recipes before hitting the road. We decided to name our version of the bakery after our dog Sugah, a misfit bichon mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in California by Underdog Railroad Rescue.

Meet the Business Owner: Gretchen2 F.

Gretchen2 worked for years in the mental health field but at the same time volunteered, fostered and advocated for the rescuing of dogs. Primarily with Underdog Railroad Rescue. Taking on the role of business owner and baker Gretchen2 has had the amazing opportunity to focus on working with animals full time, pour love in the baking of treats and cakes as well as give back to a number of rescues in the Portland area.

My dog is usually clawing her way away from the groomer to get to me and this time she barely noticed I was there. That was a good sign that she had a better experience than normal. Diedra gave her the best body cut we have had and was able to do what has been fairly impossible in the past...she cut her nails all down really well!! The friend who recommended Diedra was a groomer and said "I trust her" and I can see why. We as owners do not know what goes on in the back, but fellow groomers do and that stamp of trust approval meant allot to this worried dog momma. I highly recommend Diedra and will be back! However, she love's Elizabeth who gets the job done without making my pup scared to come back. I also love Elizabeth's attention to detail ie handling yeasty paws and rugged claws after a trip to the farm. We feel very lucky to have a good groomer after losing Darcy. Darcy got my pup comfortable in the space young but Elizabeth keeps her currently content. There are other groomers we've had do walk in nails which is a service we love! I do think most are good but you'll have to try for yourself. Tip: if you need a groom but can't get into Lombard, Vancouver sometimes has openings. Best smelling soap ever in Vancouver.

You do need to leave your kitty for 3-5 hours so that they can give the kitty breaks from the stressful experience and they only take cash or a check, so be prepared.

We LOVE Heather!…read more We have a 16 month old Havanese we named Maggie May. We adopted her when she was just 8 weeks old. Maggie May always had loose stool, so after a few months we decided to switch from one commercial dry kibble to another. If anything, she got worse so we continued to try different dry kibbles hoping it was just a food allergy or intolerance. The diarrhea got so bad we needed to consult our Vet. Over the course of the next 5 months, our Vet ran every blood test possible and did multiple stool samples. Even though every test came back normal poor Maggie May was subjected to 3 rounds of strong antibiotics which caused the diarrhea to be pure brown water. Maggie is and was a very happy puppy, ate well, slept well and played a lot. This made us even more convinced it was just a matter of finding the right diet for her. After searching for the best Naturopathic Nutritionist we met Heather. She had read all of Maggie's medical charts before our meeting. She came prepared with LOTS of information and great handouts too. She said she was confident she could help us. Heather immediately started Maggie May on a raw diet with a Probiotic and another supplement to help with her gastrointestinal issues. Heather said we should see a difference in just a few days. We were so hopeful. THE VERY NEXT DAY Maggie had perfect bowel movements!!! We were amazed and cautious about believing this was going to last. It has been 2 weeks now and we are positive she is cured!!! Heather is a great listener and full of researched information. She is available by e-mail and phone to answer our questions. She continues to check with us about Maggie May's health. We will forever be grateful we met Heather!!!! She is one in a million!!!
