The don't know what a banana split is, even though they have it in their menu...????!!! We paid for banana split. They absolutely don't have any toppings. No strawberries, No pineapple, no hot fudge. They never carry the toppings. Instead it was magic shell and whip cream! WTH? Not joking at all. The candy is way over priced not even close to being reasonable. Took the boy here but it was actually lost on his tastes except some photo ops with some strange flavored sodas. Mom and GF fared differently finding some old school tidbits you can hardly find anymore. I chose to stay clean. The only rush I get all over these days is Frosted Flakes. Sure, one little teaspoon of those little granules and a bic lighter and it's a good to go daily kick in the ass start to the morning. Be ready to take photos... The bigass whale outside lures you in. Ironic that a big fish lures people... Anyway, Inside is a family friendly real life Candyland. The floors are painted like a mixed smeared ice cream. Kiosks of sweets spread out before you, pop music and posters greet you as do oversized Lilly pops. They have candy you don't expect - Turkish Taffy? Butterfly Gummies? King Kong soda? Dungeons and Dragons Heir's potion of Power?! (My personal favorite). Young ladies are busy at work either cleaning, baking, serving "Crazy Shakes" or refilling candy bins. The baked goods are on display and put in colorful boxes. Pro Tips: They have public restrooms and they're clean unlike most beach shops. TY owners. Take cash or debit cards. There's a 3% charge when using credit cards. Whomp. The only thing this Candyland is missing is a multicolored path for you to walk on and 6-sided dice. read more

Wish I had seen the reviews before spending over $100 on the poorest sweets I've ever had. Fudge - a tasty treat made of chocolate, marshmallow and butter. What they sell is NOT fudge. It's little more than fondant. "Carmel cheesecake fudge" - just tastes of confectioners sugar and nothing else. Same with the cherry cheesecake truffle. The presentation was beautiful. But it's all just sugar without any flavor. Top of my list of places to avoid. read more

Horrible guy at the checkout counter. He was very rude and unkind. He argued with us and another employee had to send him out.

Nothing that really stands out for being a good find. Limited selection of taffy- didn't even have mint, watermelon, etc. No ingredients lists anywhere. Excessively expensive. Staff unfamiliar with pricing of chocolates (approx how many pieces per 1/4 lb.) Of the chocolates/truffles- they really lack flavor. Got tiramisu- didn't taste like coffee AT ALL. First time going in, unlike most people that will write a review. I am a local 4th generation down here. Lets begin a shall we, The ambience is great, colorful whimsical. The selection of consumable goods was beyond anything I would have ever thought. I would see in a store in this area but however, this is where, as a parent myself, I wish that maybe the containers were a little higher up so that way small unattended children would not be able to get their hands into the candy jars and consume them without their distracted parent paying for them before hand. The service well that goes a little both ways the owner who was there very sweet,but the employees that were restocking the store didn't look very happy, nor did they care when my husband pointed out that a child bit into a liquid candy, fill container and spilled it all over the floor didn't immediately clean up the mess it took I would say at least 15 maybe 20 minutes give or take because that's how long we were in line for. Now I've been in retail for very long time and I understand that with new businesses you have to work out the kinks which is totally cool, I get it. The price seem for some of these goods seemed a little outrageous regardless, if it was on the island or not but what do I know some of these candies I can get at a local grocery store or even a local mom and pop shop. But you're coming here for the experience so regardless of having to pay or choosing to pay $10 for a candy bar, but It is a very pretty store. It does bring a smile to one's face. Hopefully they will be able to get a second register so that way people will stop complaining about how long the line was especially during the high season of spring break here in south Texas, Because coming to a new store like this during spring break with all your kids and then complain about how long the wait is seem logical.... I plan on returning after some time maybe during late summer early fall so that way i can take my kids... at least i know they would appreciate the stuff,,,, im just the walking ATM. Lol read more

Such a neat place!! The owner was super nice! Soooo much to see! So many different candy choices & toys to look at! There's an ice cream bar, fudge bar & chocolate bar to choose from, besides all of the other per pound candy! There's also several super cute figures to take pictures with like a minion, ice cream cones & sponge bob! Our kids absolutely LOVED it! We will definitely go back! read more

If I could give zero, I would. Overpriced candy and they charge 3% for credit card use. I guess they're trying to recoup the construction costs from the old Chaos. Did o mention overprice?! Stay away!! Spend your money elsewhere. read more

This place is an experience. I took my 7 and 3 year old so they could experience it - the next day I went back for me! I ended up buying the truffles/chocolates and they were phenomenal. Even my wife who tells it like it is really enjoyed the truffles/chocolates. Price on these is $41 per pound, so they aren't cheap, but we'll worth it once in a while. I will go back often and continue to try the rest of the candies. I don't understand all the less that great comments, my two experiences were great! read more

Watch where you park; got my car towed and had to pay $$. Their parking was clearly marked and we were still towed. Candy is way overpriced. Service was okay, since it's new there seems to be a lot of customers. If I'm looking for candy, I'll just go to the dollar store or H-E-B. Never again! read more

You are better off going to The Dollar Store and having the kids pick their candy there. It was a huge waste of money and waste of time. The candy sucks and extremely over priced. $96 worth of candy thrown in the trash. DO NOT WASTE your time and money. read more

Have not been stolen from this bad in a long time. The chocolate was priced ridiculously sky high, but worse, it was horrible tasting. Rancid nuts, cheap chocolate. So disappointed. Arcade was a joke, with only a few machines. Ok for some unique candies for kids, but that's it. Note even some of the kids candy tasted bad. Shame on you Candy Kingdom!!!! read more

Took my family here and it was great!! My kids loved it but I loved it morris there are so many types of candy and the fudge is also great! We will be going back very soon to try the ice cream and Milk shakes!! The people there are super nice and helpful. There were a lot of different places to take pictures with the kids and they enjoyed it as much as I did. read more

This place charges $41 dollars per pound of chocolate. It's absolutely ridiculous. My daughter and I picked out 5 small things and it cost $28. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere else - anywhere else. Have ice cream at Davey Jones in Port Isabel where you'll get much more for your money. read more
