As we were driving down the oceanfront my step-daughter noticed this candy store and wanted to check it out before we returned home. So once we checked out of our hotel on Saturday, July 6th we were at the front doors when they opened. Once we were in the store the two sales associates greeted us and answered all the questions that we had. I went a little crazy and spent over $100 but it was well work it. Majority of the cost came from the cup and shot classes I got but the mixed box of truffles, salt water taffy, and fudge. Due to my size of purchase I was given a free bag as well as a bag of free mixed candy (about 1/4 lb) Overall, the experience is fun and they have some interesting items but would only be a trip I would do once a year or something for vacation. read more

This is one of the chain of candy shops where you can buy bulk candy for a pretty penny per pound but I would recommend this if you're looking for some kind of a specialty item. Where do you buy these ball candies and vintage inspired items once in a while to send to family that live overseas when they are missing those hard to find options. For instance, you can find giant jawbreakers and novelty items that are hard to find other places. They also have an extensive selection of fudge and covered chocolate items. I promised my 5 and 7yo I would take them there after dinner last night, and they even mentioned it to our server, who said it's like Willy Wonkas, they're gonna love it. Well, we got to the door at 8:40 and it was locked with people still shopping inside, and the sign said they close at 9. My wife and I motion toward one of the workers then at our wrist watch, so they come and unlock the door to tell us "the employee who was supposed to close never came in and they were tired from their long day, and they were closing early." Oh and said "sorry, big sorry, come back some other time". Well, needless to say my kids weren't very understanding when we ended up driving home without the candy I promised. ... The people that worked here didnt seem too helpful but my kids was excited to smell and see all the assorted candies. There was a lot of cute toys and colors that made the store appealing. Of course when you have a kid in the candy store their eyes were bud. $3.49 for 1/4lb isn't cheap if you get some big size candies. at here are assorted jelly bean stations and all sorts of cutsie plushies. Wow! And wow! I shouldn't have ever set foot into this candy store because I think my sugar went up just as I stepped into the store! The tons and tons of different types of candy was amazing. I found my chocolate covered gummy bears and I got myself a bag of them. They had all sorts of chewy things, chocolates, fudge, sour things, truffles and then all sorts of toys as well and gifts. It was quite amazing store and I highly recommend it. The only reason for one less star is because I had trouble finding the bags to put my gummy bears in and I almost left the store without getting anything. Should make it easier for people to find them so that people can buy the yummy delicious items that you have in your store. Highly recommend a visits. read more

It's just a no for me. The place is over priced.. by that I mean 3 egg chocolates, in the glass container is $20+. That wouldn't bother me so much if the associates where a lot better. The girl with the braids was just horrible, as I was trying to order their was another family behind me wanting to do the same. The young lady was just walking up and down pretty clueless seeming to not know how to fold the chocolate boxes. Then as she hands my order to the girl working the cash register she basically tilts it down and I could tell the eggs fell over. The girl in the register saw this and did immediately fix it as she was ring me up. Over all bad experiences would never return read more

Great addition to Virginia Beach! There was candy everywhere, I couldn't believe it. I wouldn't even know where to start in a store like this! I didn't get anything but it was cool to see what they had to offer. I would love to come in here with a big group of friends and see what they think of. I love how organized everything is, it's so easy to find stuff because you can kind feel where everything is. Especially, if you're looking for candy that was new when I was young all the 90's kids know what I'm talking about. It's always good to have a store around like this because when you become a parent you can always bring your kids in here and show them what you were Obsessed with at their age now. David and I were hanging out at the oceanfront. Stopped by this candy store. It was full of color looking at it through the windows. So much candy! There's lots of different gummy bears and worms. They had different brownies flavors such as mint and strawberry. Lots of different chocolates. They even had ice cream. They had a cute little sitting area outside of their store if you wanted to sit and eat your ice cream or whatever you decided to buy. We didnt purchase anything but everything looked yummy. Holy price hikes, Batman! That's $40 per pound of chocolates! Bulk candy is $14 per pound. They list prices by the 1/4 lb (likely to make it seem less expensive) and there are conveniently no scales to be found. I imagine it's easy to get sticker shock at the counter after loading up a bag. The store itself is colorful and fun. Very much a "candy land" feel. They didn't have the one thing I went in looking for (peach rings) but seemed to have plenty of other options. This was a fun place to walk through but too pricey for me. read more

I walked into this store over the weekend with my partner and had a super weird experience. The system for purchasing candy was a little unclear. Some signs said that you pay by filling up a bag, but the section we were looking at had no bags, so we went to ask a staff member to explain how to do it. We walked to the cashier section and there were two young women, about high school age, hanging out talking to another high school kid who appeared to be a friend of theirs. They ignored us completely and kept talking to their friend as we stood there. We were literally the only customers in the store at the time, and it took 2 full minutes of us standing 5 feet in front of them while they joked with their friend for one of them to finally acknowledge us. When one of them did, the following exchange occurred. Not exaggerating, this is a word-for-word account: Me: "Hi, how does the system work here, we fill up and pay for candy by the the bag?" Her: "Yes." (Says nothing else, blank expression while staring at me) Me: (after 10 seconds of silence where I expected her to say more) "...ok, how do we do it? Do we get bags somewhere?" Her: "You want a bag? I don't know where they are either." (again, blank facial expression. Other staff member stands by silently). Me: (Confused silence) Her: "Do you want me to help you look for them?" Me: "...Ok?" Her: "Ok, let's look." My partner and I follow her to the center of the store where she points to a shelf with some bags stuffed in it. There is a signpost that says "Bags" on it, BUT the sign post is accidentally stuffed down into the shelf, making it hard to see. In addition to that, we notice that the section we were looking at earlier had no bags or bag sign. Her: (Reaches over and pulls up obscured sign so it's no longer obscured. Stares at us silently). Me: (trying to make a joke/be a good sport to ease the awkwardness of this encounter). "Ah, so it's kind of obvious where the bags are." Her: (blank expression on her face). "Yep." (She walks away without saying another word). And then we left without buying anything. One of the weirdest experiences we've ever had in a store, and this is coming from someone who usually doesn't care whether staff are friendly or not as long as the product is good. read more

This place deserves ZERO stars. Ice cream was freezer burned and grainy... not picky at all but this was obvioulsy stale like we chose a flavor that had been in the freezer for a year or two. Asked for a replacement (brought back the full cup of crappy ice cream) and asked for a different flavor. Response was thanks for letting me know but no exchanges so you can pay for another one. Absolutely absurd. Customers beware of very poor quality product and complete lack of care for customer. Will have to dispute this one to get money back... and I will. read more

Was hanging out with my nephew (13 yrs old) down at the beach when we saw this candy store. I felt like the 13 year old when I walked in because it was a very bright, colorful and sweet smelling! It was as if I entered the willy wonka chocolate factory. I wanted to touch and taste everything! It's very clean and organized by the type of candy and colors. You can create your own bag of candy selection by choosing from their vast selection and weighing it all when your done. They have toys and trinket candy dispensers, T-shirt's and tierras. It's a toy store and candy store rolled up in one. The drawback, it's very expensive. Parking is on the side metered street or garage. THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME! It wasn't very busy when we visited and the store has a good selection of music. This place has so much candy the store itself smells like a lollipop. They have all the classic tourist sweets like salt water taffy, fudge, jellybeans, gummy's, and a lot of other sweets too. They also have some cute toys/trinkets. This would be a great place for the kids but also my boyfriend and I (in our 20s) also really enjoyed this place. Oh also its not that pricy either. read more

My kids and I were visiting Virginia Beach from North Carolina this past weekend and noticed this candy shop. Everything about the store seemed fine until we left. Once we got back in our vehicle and got back on the road to North Carolina I noticed the price seemed a little high for what we got. We were overcharged on the candy by about $15, the price was $3.95/lb and we were charged $13.95/lb. Also, the candy is inedible unless your fond of the chemical taste of air freshener. Whatever they are spraying in the store to make it smell good has gotten on the candy. Don't go here unless you like shady business practices and air freshener candy. read more
