Heidi did my flowers back in 2001. She made exactly what I dreamed of and was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

I struggled with the rating to give for this review because I know how hard it is to run a business…read moreand I never like to give anyone a less than stellar review, but we did have some issues when they provided the flowers for our wedding. We got married at Coindre hall and this was the vendor that came with the package we selected. We saw the flowers on their Instagram page and they were beautiful, so we felt comfortable using them. When we met with them to go over the colors/floral design for the wedding the girl we met with was super nice, showed us live examples of the color flowers we would be using and some example photos. We also shared our inspiration photos and discussed exactly what we wanted for our wedding. I felt fairly confident after that meeting that we would have beautiful flowers for the wedding. The colors we agreed upon were ivory, blush, and terracotta roses. Some of my inspiration photos had flowers other than roses, and we had discussed that I didn't mind other types of flowers as long as they were within that color scheme. My MOH had a terracotta colored dress, so we wanted everything to tie in. This is all written on the contract that we signed so we assumed it was clear. I was so excited to see our bouquets for the wedding, but when we arrived at the venue I was rather shocked and honestly deeply disappointed to see that both mine and my MOH's bouquets had no terracotta roses at all, but instead had large mustard yellow and brown mums throughout with the blush and ivory roses. For starters, I would have liked it to be discussed with me if you plan to leave out a flower/color we specifically agreed upon and add in its place a flower in a color outside of the scheme that we agreed on, but also to choose such a very specific style of flower that looked NOTHING like any of my inspiration photos was a wild choice. I personally do not like mums, and found the color of these to be ugly (mustard yellow is probably my least favorite color and was not anywhere else in our decor for the wedding). Especially since this bouquet is in pretty much all of my photos it was particularly upsetting to dislike it so much and have it not be anything like what we agreed on. We also selected terracotta roses for the boutonnieres for both my father and the best man so they would match our bouquets, but now they no longer matched at all. My MOH agreed that it was not anything like what we discussed and that she didn't like it much either, but we tried not to dwell on it and move on since there was nothing we could do. I was also disappointed that the large floral arrangements we paid a lot extra for to be placed in the urns at the entry of the venue were mostly made up of these ugly yellow/brown mums, and they were the first thing that people saw when entering. Additionally, because it rained on our wedding day, most of our photos were in front of the fireplace they were flanking and therefore we have those flowers in the background of almost every posed photo. The mums were also in the arrangement of our chuppah, although they also had the beautiful terracotta roses we agreed on, so clearly they had them available. These mums were very large and became a focal point of every arrangement they were in, so I still do not understand why they were selected without consulting us first since they were not discussed at any point, were not a color we talked about or agreed on, and were not in nor looked like any of our inspiration photos. The flowers on our cake and in our centerpieces looked exactly as we asked, were the colors we agreed on and looked very much like our inspiration photos, so clearly they were capable of doing this. I just don't understand where the disconnect was with the rest of the flowers. The other issue we ran into is that we paid extra for an arrangement of flowers to decorate the welcome sign we had set up, and they did not make or bring them, and by the time we noticed it was too late. The venue called the florist and they said they wouldn't make it back in time to decorate it before our guests came, and said they would "take it off our bill". I am not sure how they planned to do so since we had to pay in full in cash two weeks prior to the wedding date, so the bill was long since settled. Thankfully the venue had a swag of fake flowers they could lend us, but they did not match our color scheme and it really bothered me that they did not make something we specifically paid extra for (not included in our package). Overall it was a very mixed experience, so I think an "ok" is a fair rating. I had planned to preserve my bouquet and I disliked it so much that i just threw most of the flowers out after the wedding. That really disappointed me since it was something I was really looking forward to doing. I would recommend being VERY specific about what you want and also don't want. I didn't think I needed to be more specific than I was, but clearly something got lost in translation.
