Wish I could give them 100000 stars! Not often am I super wowed by chain locations. I have never been to any of the other locations as this was me visiting across from the states, but wow! It's small and cozy, but cool to hang with friends. I can most definitely tell a lot of young and college kids would enjoy this place. Food was amazing. Came for just some boba tea/dessert and seen this fire menu! So I seen chicken wings and of course I had to try them. I chose the seaweed and it was an excellent choice. I have been meaning to go here for a while, and today I finally did. I had the Hong Kong-style dry stirred noodles with chicken, paid an extra $2.99 for the mango juice, and got a tiramisu cheesecake for dessert. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the chicken was very well seasoned , I instantly fell in love with it. The mango juice tasted freshly squeezed and left me craving more. I love cheesecake, and I've honestly never had a bad one, so I might not be the best person to judge, but this one was perfect. The service would have been 5 stars, but the food took a little while to come out. Aside from that, my experience here was immaculate. I cleared all my plates and had to stop myself from licking them . There's also a friendly older lady here who is so charming, always checking if you like the food and engaging in small talk. Super awesome dessert place with some savory options as well like noodle and rice dishes. Their filled pancake options (especially the durian variety) were very nice, as were there rice cakes and honey Taiwanese sausage (a brilliant combination that never occurred to me). Great service that is very attentive about things like water refills, and spacious, chill atmosphere for dining with plenty of private booths and seats. I've been to several other locations and it's a similar experience. I would say the curry was a little thin on the curry balls but the mango crepe was good. The chicken wings with the cheese dust was also nice and crispy. My friend had the dalgona latte and cheesecake and enjoyed it. read more

Stopped here for dessert the other night as I had seen a few items online and they looked so good. My hubby ordered the mango shaved ice and I got a strawberry pancake. Wow! It was sooo good. My pancake reminded me of a crepe and was filled with whipped cream and strawberries with chocolate drizzled on top. Plus it had ice cream that my hubby couldn't stop raving about. I like that the tables had a buzzer to press when you were ready to order. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again. Bring your stretchy pants!! read more

Same experience as another reviewer. Went to place and found out it was closed even though it was supposedly during business hours. Then went again on another Saturday and find out it was closed. Tried calling but no one answered phone. I saw some pictures posted in June of '22 so they must have been opened for a short period. This place seems to open sporadically so you never know if they will be opened or not. How can you run a business that way? The only places that have no desire to maintain steady business are money laundering operations..... read more

Although the menu appears to be unique and the service was great, the food and drinks were absolutely terrible. If I could rate it a -10, I would. As someone of Asian descent who grew up eating everything on that menu, I am accustomed to what was offered. read more

This place is such an awesome experience. Not to mention that the menu is fun to look through. The menu is essentially dessert, bubble tea, specialty drinks and appetizers. Service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere and decor are nice. It's definitely a cool place to go to with a group of friends. My husband and I wanted dessert after having some dim sum in the restaurant across the street so we decided to give it a try. Man am I so glad we did! The menu was so appealing, we wanted to try so much but we only had so much room! My husband had their chocolate waffle while I had the original since I like strawberries. The waffles were so fluffy and the toppings were delicious. We would definitely come back and eat here again. Next time we want to try the bubble tea, or the toast, or even the crispy cheesy eel thing we saw! But as far as dessert we would recommend based on what we had. ***Important things to note*** They only take debit card and cash, no credit. Service here is pretty decent! One of the more spacious Sugar Marmalades I've been to, surprisingly in my small home city of Windsor. The menu of any SM location is HUGE. My regular go tos here are the shaved ice, waffle and ice cream or Tawainese popcorn chicken. Service design here is great, wait staff is always pretty attentive having those table doorbell things. Overall, I'd choose this place more for a quick dessert spot over a good quality dinner though. Decent place to do some laptop work too if you come at an off time. read more

Went here 2 separate occasions on our visit to Windsor. First day, store was closed without any updates on website. Only saw a note on the door with new hours. Came back another day only to find that it was still closed. Double checked the new hours and time and even called but there was no answer. Very disappointed we didn't get to try it. read more

Came here for the dessert, but they also have food. The desserts are good size & price. The shave ice is smooth and flavorful. My favorite would be the strawberry, the Matcha wasn't as sweet, if you're into that. Also tried their noodles dessert, it's interesting & the noodles are made from some type of jello. This was our first visit to Sugar Marmalade and it was wonderful! The service was great, very friendly. Really enjoyed the Taiwanese shaved ice. We have the matcha green tea with the red beans. Probably one of the most delicious Asian dessert recipes I've ever had! Wish I could hitch this to the back of my truck and drag it stateside! I loved it that much! We'll definitely come back! I would recommend coming to this dessert place with your friends. They are mainly known for their desserts, but they also sell appetizers and entrees. They offer a variety of authentic asian desserts such as red bean sweet soup and black sesame sweet soup. For those who aren't as accustomed to authentic asian desserts, they also sell ice cream and cheesecakes. The desserts and entrees are quite pricy for students which is my friends and I do not go often. Other than that it's a nice place to hang out, eat some sweets and chill with your friends. read more
