The groomer Lauren said he was matted on his ears and neck so he needed to be short. My son picked up our dog because I was at work. When I arrived home and saw my dog I was FURIOUS! He was hairless to the point you can see his bones. I paid $122 which includes de-matting but he has no hair so what was departed? Literally shaved him bald. I never received a call asking for permission to cut off all his hair. My dog doesn't even look like himself. Every time I look at him I want to cry because I'm so angry. I called to cancel his future appointment and i was asked what happened and did I want to go to another location. No THANK YOU! Will no longer be utilizing their daycare or boarder services either because I don't trust them with my fur child.

That's a huge improvement over the corporate place I used take my dog. She was terrified every time we went there. I've personally witnessed dogs getting groomed & the staff is gentle and patient. The prices are reasonable. Be aware that Saturdays book up fast. Also, just fyi pet grooming is a physically demanding job and standard tip for grooming is 15-20%; if your pet isn't well behaved (eg tries to bite, etc) please consider a bigger tip.

Had to take a one day trip out of town and needed to find a place to board my two dogs for a night…read more Found this place nearby, called and spoke to the owner (Vicky) and decided to give this place a try. The kennel is on a county road and I wouldn't have found it without a GPS...but find it I did. The kennel/groomers are found down a laneway, but there's a sign out on the road directing you towards the building. We arrived at around 10:45am on a Saturday, provided the necessary paperwork (updated shots, etc), provided care requirements (when to feed them, etc) and off they went. As my two dogs are bonded and are small, we decided to board them in the same space. An overnight stay is $20/night, with the 2nd pet being $15/night. When checking our pets in, we noticed that they also provide grooming services...didn't utilize the service, but might in the future. We picked the dogs up at 6pm on Sunday evening..and were charged a half day for the late pickup. This was explained to us when we dropped them off, so it wasn't a surprise, My dogs seem none the worse for their stay, Will use again.

Brought my two pooches in to Donnas for their first grooming in our new home town…read more I spoke to Donna on the phone a couple of weeks earlier and felt an instant comfort with her approach to grooming. Donna explained that she had numerous years of grooming experience and now has her own "salon" in her home. She also advised me that I was more than welcome to stay and watch her groom my dogs, as I was a first time customer. I inquired the cost of grooming of both dogs and was happy with the price quoted, so I booked a time for their spa day. When I dropped my dogs off, Donna was waiting and asked the type of cut I wanted for them, asked if they had ever had the hairs pulled from their ears and how short we wanted to go. As one of them was fairly matted, we discussed that we'd have to go fairly short...almost a summer cut (even though it was February). She explained that due to the matting, that she woul have to get very close to their skin with the razor, and demonstrated the technique she'd use. Felt completely comfortable and left my pooches in her care. One of my dogs is a rescue and wasn't properly socialized in his formative years...so he's very skittish and has a tendency to nip when a stranger attempts to touch him. I explained this to Donna and she told me not to worry, that she's dealt with all types of behaviours. A few hours later, Donna called and stated the dogs were done, so I was at her door in less than 10 minutes (Kingsville isn't that big of a town). The dogs looked and smelled fantastic and were no worse for the wear. Donna said she had no issues with either of my dogs, although the rescue wasn't keen on the ear pull and gave her the evil eye ! Total cost for two small dogs was very reasonable I booked their next salon day for May. Very satisfied with their cuts and very satisfied with Donna. Would highly recommend.
