I had a scheduled appointment as a new client. When you schedule they have you put a card on file and will charge your card if a no show. I arrived at my scheduled time. I was told she will be right with you. As I'm waiting I can hear 2 girls in the backroom chatting about their personal lives laughing. I continue to wait noticing it's been 15 minutes and I am the only client in the salon. So I confirm my appointment and she apologizes to me for 2nd time for the long wait. I told her please delete my information and cancel my appointment. The receptionist goes to the back to tell them, they come out. I tell them I find it rude especially being a new client. I leave the owner comes out telling me I slammed her door and never come back to her salon. I didn't slam the door !!!!!!!! I was a new client recommended by multiple people. With that being said it's upsetting how I had to sit there waiting for no justifiable reason. In addition when I voiced my concerns and disappointment I was verbally attacked by the owner as she tried to justify the disrespectful behavior. read more

My visit in Oct was disappointing due to the quality of the coloring hair experience. The color was not what we talked about before the service. It was lighter instead of a darker shade. Hoping my next visit would be a better experience. Unfortunately, the service for my Christmas treat was the worse experience from this salon. My hair was constantly being pulled hard during the coloring and memories came back of being a small child having my Mom comb through my hair. My head being jerked back which hurt. Then during the shampoo she dropped my neck over and over on the sink edge. She heard me express pain and had to speak up to be careful. Then during my blowout went back to jerking my head back and her asking me hold my head skill! Then my color looked blocked and stopped about my ear level!!!! Driving home I was trying to understand what had happened?!? Was she mad at me and didn't want me to come back? I decided not to return and will let my family and friends who I have referred, consider not coming to this salon due to my last two visits. I do not recommend this business and sad since this was my go to place to relax and be pampered. Not a very Merry Christmas treat experience. Surprisingly the owner is who I had major issues with. I went to sugar pine 3 times and none of those haircuts were anything I was happy with. The first was mediocre and I went somewhere else for my next haircut, tried sugar pine again just because their reviews are so great and I thought maybe I jumped the gun. The second haircut had to be fixed and my most recent one is the worse cut yet and I was so unhappy I asked for a refund because I'm getting my hair recut entirely somewhere else. After sending the owner pictures of my hair to show how bad the cut was, the owner then told me I was stretching the truth and offered the same person to recut my hair and to essentially pound sand. They advertise that they strive for every customer to be satisfied with their hair and when you're paying $105.00 a cut before tip that's what you should get, but when the customer doesn't get good service the owner blames the customer and won't take any accountability and won't make a real attempt to rectify the situation. read more

After having many botched eyebrow waxes, to say I was anxious coming in to my appt was an understatement to say the least. Immediately walking in, I'm immediately reassured. This place is beautiful. You can tell whoever styled and designed the inside really cared about what they were doing and wanted everything to look nice. I've been to other shops that simply do not care about the overall aesthetic of their shop, along with overall cleanliness. Even upon further inspection, I found nothing to be concerned about. I waited for not even 5 minutes before Jen came out to grab me for my appt. My last technician moved my arch, thinned out my brows, and shortened them, and I have since spent over a year growing out my eyebrows to their full extent. Jen, I later learned is the owner who styled the place, did (to say the least) a BEAUTIFUL job on my eyebrows. I would even go as far as saying that my brows came out EXACTLY as I wanted them to. She made sure they started and ended where they were supposed to, along with making sure the arch was placed where it should, taking into account the directionality of my hair growth. A true professional who listened to my lengthy complaints about previous technicians, who does great quality work. From front desk reception all the way up to the owner and the few workers I heard conversing, the overall vibe of this place is amazing. If you're looking for someone to really look at you, your facial structure, hair growth, and listen to your wants/needs, and not just start waxing you the second you lay down, Jen is the person you're looking for. read more

First of all this salon is beyond adorable. Decorated to perfection & very welcoming. Jen did my microblading today. I had come from another salon and she was honest that covering up someone else's work to not expect perfection. BUT let me tell you I feel and see perfection. She is a master at brows! This place is my new Zen zone! I wish I had found it sooner. For those that know Arlington it's located in the old Ellie's building in Smokey Pt. I know, Ellie's, huh, but the remodel looks fabulous and is so aesthetically pleasing. I am going on vacation for the holidays so decided to bite the bullet, and at 32, try my first ever Bikini wax. I felt that's a bit personal and could be painful if the hype is true so I tried to find a place that gave me the right vibe and Sugar Pine was the winner. Thank Goodness! Jen was A-mazing! She is so personable and is genuinely interested in helping you feel your best without trying to "sell" you anything. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed regularly for 17 years and I can honestly say this was the best wax job I've had. As for the Bikini, Jen was very professional and knowledgeable. Disappointed. I called to set an appointment for me and my daughter's haircut and they put me down for the wrong time. Instead of 10:30 am they had me for 12 pm. I received confirmation message on Saturday and kept calling to correct the time but all i got was the answering machine. Kept calling this Monday morning and still no answer. Left voicemail and private message on their facebook page but no response. Husband went in with my daughter for her haircut at 10:20, the hairdresser, Michelle, said that he could wait a few minutes since she was with a customer. She also said that she had my daughter for 12 pm but husband explained to her what happened. After waiting for 30 minutes my husband was already upset and left since he had to be at work. Would have been a pleasant visit if they got my appointment time correct or just let my husband know that she can't take my daughter instead of making them wait that long. read more
