For Mother's Day, my mom wanted to go to Sparta's Shack, but it was closed. We did a quick search, saw that Andersen Farms was nearby, and I remembered the ice cream banner, so we decided to stop by. Parking is available on the open grass area. When you enter the main building, the ice cream station is located in the right corner. I got a regular cup ($4.99), which lets you choose up to four flavors. I went with Judy's Coffee, Pop's Chocolate Chip, and Strawberry. The ice cream was really tasty and flavorful -- it tasted homemade. The portion size was also huge. They also have farm animals outside and plants available for purchase. I found my new go-to ice cream spot whenever I'm in the area. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for high-quality ice cream. * Parking on premises * Ice cream can also be ordered on the side * Ice cream samples available * Cinnamon sugar donuts available in the Fall * Family-friendly

I came here on a Saturday in August with my mom and nephew and really enjoyed our time here. We checked out the animals, chickens and goats, very cute. Then we played on the playgrounds and got ice cream. Their homemade ice cream is amazing. I got their coconut blueberry ice cream and my mom got their nutty for pistachio which was also delicious. The portions were huge for a regular size. It was $15 for 3 regular sized ice creams which I think is great. They had a ton of plants out. Their little store has fresh baked goods, breads and pies, and they also have little knick knacks and toys. Overall, this is a family friendly, warm, and inviting place to visit. Don't skip the ice cream!

In addition, you'll need to sign a waiver in order for your reservation to be completed. Costs: $25 - Alpaca Experience and Guided Walk (60 mins.) $15- Meet and Greet Alpacas (30 mins.) At the farm ,you'll see a couple of tall Llamas standing guard in addition to the alpacas. : D Gary was the owner and guide tour. Unlike visiting other alpaca farms, Gary put an educational spin on our visit. Gary shared about the shearing and the different grades of alpaca yarns, which of course would go along with the yarn costs. A small group of us led the alpacas by leashes. Of course, each alpaca has its own personality. Just like people.. LOL.... My bf's alpaca "St. Nick" (who was born on Christmas) had the sweetest disposition. My alpaca "Wally "had its moments". Wally wanted to stop a lot and just graze. After we finished tour, everyone went over to a table where handwashing implements were available. A cute gift shop is available with beautiful alpaca related items and even duck eggs! A small parking lot is available. A very clean port-a john is available for customers.

The Gen-X age dude who owns the ranch is super chill and friendly. At the end of our tour he showed us the yarn and hand-knitted items made from their very own alpacas and llamas.

And they give tour to show you their animals and you can feed them and get to know what they do!! It's a cool experience for sure!! First of all, If you want to see the animal, make a reservation online!!! $35 for an hour for up to 4 people for a group tour.. they said they will take up to 4 group at the same time.. but if you are lucky, you might be the only group to go... My tour guide was Regina, and she shared with us what they have in the farm, and would answer any question you might have about it the animal and their job!! She knows her animal, it's like her family member.. she knows their name (and yes.. all their name!!!) and you see the animal knows her too... they have sheep, goat, duck, geese, swan, llama, yaks, and of course, alpaca.. it's kind of an experience when you walk in to the alpaca pan and they ran toward you!! It was a little scary at the beginning, but they are actually very calm and gentle... they will be all over you (and your food).. I would really recommend this place... but do take notice!! This is a working farm, and animals are animals.. so I wouldn't wear your brand new sneaker there to take a walk!! Like Regina said, this is their home and they are not pets, and she doesn't clean up after them.. if you or know what I mean.. :)

I would have loved to at least sit in a chair and enjoy the fountains with my toddler even though it was a cooler day -Train car closed because, according to an employee, the person driving it was exhausted and there was low attendance -No animals were out in the animal area They are very clear there are no return tickets or refunds. She was only able to do the carousel, walk through the Christmas village (which scared her-- see photo), take a weird truck ride where you see painted cutouts of animals rather than real ones, and see the 15-minute outdoor show. Staff could truly not have been nicer, but my feedback is for management-- the day felt poorly run with little regard for full-priced paying customers. My main feedback: They claimed to be understaffed waiting for international students, but if that is the case, I would have loved to know what was closed before paying to enter or be offered the opportunity to return on a day when I could justify the ticket price. If either of these had happened, I wouldn't be dissatisfied.

When we arrived there was No one directing traffic for parking so it was a bit chaotic and confusing on where to park. No Staff around to ask either. We have been there one time before and it was good. Well, this time is was very disappointing. First, it was freezing cold (not the farms fault ) but they only had ONE, YES ONE tractor to take people on the Hayride. Last year they had at least two. Although, there were not that many people there, we had to wait 90 minutes to get on the Ride while hearing annoying Dance revolution video game songs over and over! Finally, we got on the ride and it was the WORST haunted hayride we've been on. The scenes were not what they were and the characters that jumped on the trailer actually bashed the metal backing ( I was leaning up against) onto my back and hurt me! You couldn't see the costumes they had on at all. It just looked like black blobs in the woods. Even when they jumped on the tractor you couldn't make out anything. It would have enhanced the experience if they had spent a little money on some creepy lighting. We were looking forward to some Nice HOT Cider to warm us up after the ride. I have had had Hot Cider about 30 times at different farms including Lentini's last year. This YEAR they decided to "Heat up the Cider" this year by Adding Hot water to it! Our cider was luke warm and completely WATERED down. So not what I expect from a farm that sells Cider! It was gross! We left there cold and disappointed. Wont go back again!
