Things I appreciate: quality brands and clothing condition, being open each day of the week, discounted tags, plenty of dressing room space, and sizes for all women and a bit of men's clothing as well. I find staple pieces here - today's purchase included a black blazer, a couple of oxford shirts perfect alone or under a layer, and a teal blouse great for my skin tone and red hair. Past purchases have been slacks, coats, shoes, and sweaters. Here you will find designers and mainstream designer names, plus some clothing still with tags. It is hit or miss. They can be very rude. Some items, they did not take, I just have to a woman for her elderly mother, who was with her. I was given a very stark rebuke to at they frowned in that. Sugarbakers is another great destination if you're looking for Derby attire, or just a fan of designer clothing for cheap! I love how big and organized this store is - there's so much to look at. Everything is labeled very well, so you can easily find certain designers or sizes. The have a wall of high demand designer purses, where I found a really cute Tory Burch and Gucci bag! The clothing is your typical high-end consignment choices like Talbots, White House/Black Market, Chico's, and tons of Lilly Pulitzer! There is a small men's section in the back, too. If you like shopping for home decor, they have a separate room for that! They have all kinds of markdowns, and most items seem to be at least half off the retail price. read more

Consignment store shopping is always a bit hit or miss. I've found a lot of great business professional/business casual pieces here. They also do a lot of great sales. Just like the name has stated, this consignment store is truly classy. I love their arrangement and fitting room. They divided their items by categories such as dresses, blouses, skirts, ect. Within each sections, they further organized their clothes according to size. As for fitting room, they have soft plush carpet with nice decoration. Their employees have engraved name tags and super friendly. The clothes are classy and in really good condition. They also carry a small selections of household decoration items in a separate room. The prices for brand name items are expensive. However, they have plenty of items in a moderate price range for you to chose from. With a 50% discount, I got a really cute dress at the final price of $7. Look out for their clearance and you might find something worths your time and pocket. read more

I have recently gotten into thrift shopping and this is my favorite spot. Everything is organized so well and they're always having great sales. I got a pair of Ann Taylor jeans, some black dress slack capris, a Ralph Lauren polo, and a banana republic dress for $24. WHAT!!! It was awesome. Two of my items were 75% and two of them were 50%. They have signs posted all over the store so you know which color tags are included in the sale. And the ladies that work in there are always very nice. Will return most definitely!!!! SELLERS BEWARE!!! You may want to think twice before letting this store consign your items for you. From my experience - If you aren't micromanaging your items/money they will keep it, lose or misplace your records and tell you it's been so long any balance you may have had is gone now. IRS requires records be kept about 7 years but don't count on Sugarbakers for complying with that rule! Last time I phoned in and was given my balance which I never picked up and may have even grown after the call. This weekend I was told my account was coming up as needs more info which indicates a legitimate account but the records haven't been placed in the system. Today they call me to say they find no records thus my balance is zero. Because they say that it must have been there so long the money is no longer there. hmm.. well where did it go? It was just under $60 so not a large amount by any means but it's the principle. Sugarbakers had my items, they received their fair share of the sales, and now they want my share too? I call BS! I was NEVER informed of ANY expiration date! Update - today (01/10/2017) the manager Whitney phoned me to say that "if you don't pick up your money, after so long it goes away." This is NOT the kind of place I want to do business with! Their practice it not to mail people payments either. But wait until they take your money - they will mail you the paperwork you signed! Or so they say, they will.. we'll see if I ever get it and if it shows an expiration date on collecting your money. ?? I SUGGEST YOU TAKE YOUR HIGH END, GENTLY USED CLOTHING to another establishment. This place by far has some of the rudest employees I've experienced anywhere. I will say that it was awhile ago when I went there, but that's also why I've never returned. I stood at the counter to ask a question for over FIVE minutes (I timed it!) while two salespersons ignored me and continued their PERSONAL conversations. I know that being "classy" translates to some as being "haughty," but I can never support being RUDE and dismissive. Would give 0 stars if that was an option! The first time I went in here was after working out at Burn Boot Camp next door. The two ladies at the counter were incredibly rude and kept shushing a woman who clearly had a mental disability that was spending easily $100 at their business. Although I vowed I would never return after this altercation, my mom spotted a dress in the window that she really wanted to try on for an upcoming vacation. Terrible experience, yet again. Lightning doesn't strike twice, my friends. Although we were spending over $100 at their store, that didn't stop them from yelling loudly that they were closing, locking the doors, etc. even though we were checking out BEFORE 6pm. We were there until 6:02 when an older lady accused us of talking the entire time rather than shopping, which is untrue. Also, she told us that she couldn't believe the way we treated her by making her spend time after close (literally 2 minutes) for us to check out.
