The Pro Shop has a homey, farm-esque feel to it. We checked in at 8:30 for a 9:10 tee time and were told, for the first time, that we had to be off the course at 1:00 for a shotgun start tournament. On a busy Saturday, that would be a stretch. "Driving range" was just a few grass mats where you hit balls off a cliff; interesting. Course was nice, needed a little water. And the rough was deep. I'm not sure if this on purpose or a lack of maintenance. Course had nice views. Very hilly, some blind shots, but not as many as Killington. It was very tough to figure out how to get to the next hole, we had to turn around a few times. After we finished the round, we wanted to check out the bar and maybe grab a bite to eat. However, there is no bar or restaurant. Just a snack window, though it appears the food they were producing was high quality. Overall, for $120, I'd rather go to Green Mountain. Though, Fox Run is still be best course "around" - hands down.

Kwini has made a bunch of changes and undergone transformation under new ownership. The current…read morecourse is in much better condition with very nice fairways now. The roughs are not as comparable as some of the fancier more expensive courses around. The greens are good, some of which are very tricky. They can be a bit inconsistent though depending on the sun with some being very fast and some being very slow. The sand traps are in pretty good shape and overall the course has enough interest to play repeatedly as a member or non-member. Speaking of membership, it's one of the more affordable ones around. For seniors who use the senior tees, the course is quite playable. But if you want longer distance, for the majority of the holes, if you play from the back tees the distance should more than suffice. Fairways are in excellent shape with a dearth of water hazards (maybe 3 on the hole course). Water is less of a challenge than sand but there are some elevation changes to keep things interesting. The back 9 has a little more variety and is a little more challenging. Customer service is generally good but can vary. Clubhouse is fairly basic but has a decent choice of food. This is strictly a golf club, not a country club with pools and tennis courts and the prices reflect this. All in all, the course doesn't beat you up and you can go away with a sense of playing a good round of golf even if you aren't familiar with it. I would certainly recommend this course as a very solid public course. Lastly, their updated practice facilities are very good (as good as any you'll find around) and the ball machine with the tracker technology is pretty fun if you are looking to hit a few at the range.

We were confused as to whether it was like Burlington Country Club or not or if it was even a country club (who has a pool) since we are new to the area. My husband called the Golf Shop as it was the only number we could locate on their dated website. A woman answered and my husband asked if they had a pool. She sternly responded "No. We do not have a pool at our golf course." as if she were reprimanding a child. It made me so uncomfortable that I laughed uncomfortably. My husband tried to explain why we were asking. She rudely and again sternly interrupted him to say "have a nice day" with as much genuineness as she could spare (none... if you can't sense my sarcasm) and hung up on him. You can tell her boss we will be taking our money elsewhere. Probably to Burlington Country Club. Edit: we tried to email Kwiniaska as well and apparently the email they have listed on their website doesn't exist. Maybe it's time for some out with the old on this place.
