UPDATE: Morning after my wax and owe! I got a Brazilian and my back side is super sore. I had to do my own research on after care because it was not discussed with me after my appointment. I can't say how much of waste this was. Ok the only reason I'm giving three stars is because Natalie was so nice while giving me a wax. Honestly a little too nice. After every pull, it was "are you ok?" "Are you ok"? I like to zone out during a wax so it was kinda hard for me. Aftercare was never discussed. I tried asking her before the wax but she never told me anything. When I walked in the place smelled clean. I was brought back to the room where I was given my wax, it was really small. The work space given to their employees is so much smaller than previous wax places I've been. Their work station is a book shelf! A book shelf! Every other waxing salon I've been to has a movable station with all of their equipment on it. The picture I posted, is hair stuck in wax from someone before me. There was wax on the walls in other spots as well. I couldn't take pictures of everything as I was never left alone to undress or redress. I was not told any after care instructions. I didn't think I'd have gotten anything concerning after care unless I'd made the effort to take the one photo (posted) and used the cover up saying I was grabbing a pamphlet (unknowing it was for aftercare.) I will not be going back to this company. Corporate time to STEP UP! Give your employees a decent workspace!! Where the tables aren't up against the wall. Instead they're in the middle of the room where they can maneuver more easily for the customers satisfaction and to make them more comfortable. It was super uncomfortable in the room. Also invest in music that doesn't get cut off and stop every 5 minutes. This place was pretty bad. read more

When I lived the the South Bay I used to go to Sugar Spa in Mountain View and loved their services. After moving to SR I went back to European Wax Center and LunchBox but life got in the way so I just stopped doing Brazilians. I saw Sugaring NYC and was super excited to try it out. They have 1/2 off services for first time customers...$30 Brazilian?! Can't beat that...Natalie did my service and she was quick and checked on me after each removal. She was super sweet. Sugaring is similar to waxing but it's not as hot, there aren't any chemicals or compounds. A thin layer in applied in one direction and then the sugar is pulled in the opposite direction. You don't feel sticky, you don't get burned, and the sugar doesn't pull out any skin. If you can handle wax, you can handle sugar. I'm definitely coming back and doing the Unlimited 6 Month Pass. read more

Hi, I am reviewing my first time visiting NYC Sugaring in Danville (first time visiting NYC Sugaring in general) It was also my first time having a brazilian wax and eyelash lift. I had scheduled two separate appointments online, one for each procedure. There was a time gap in between but I didn't mind. A little while after booking my appointments I had received a call from the receptionist wanting to know if I would like to book the two procedures during the same time frame which I gladly accepted. When I arrived I liked how simple, clean and feminine the lobby was. When I scheduled my appointments I chose the option for any sugarist. The sugarist I had was Valerie. There was no wait and I was surprised to see this note in my room (refer to the photo attachment) I thought it was a sweet touch. I had mentioned while scheduling my appointments online in the comment section that I was getting married that weekend. I am grateful to have had Valerie for my first time. She made a painful and intimidating experience a pleasant one. She was patient, kind, honest and supportive. She was insightful when I asked her my questions and concerns. She made the perfect amount of small talk that broke the ice and created a comfortable environment. The cherry on top was offering halloween treat bags to myself and two kids that were waiting. Updated review : worst costumer service for Lyn the manager and Valerie the store opening who is suppose to be my sugarist. I recently had something personal going on I didn't even have a phone to reach out to re schedule my appointment/ my sugarist booked me before 6 weeks my hair hasn't even grown out yet/ she charged me 60$ and I didn't even confirm so how do I get charged and I didn't confirm she didn't even reach out to get a re schedule and now that I'm trying to they are saying they can't refund. I need corporate and I hope you guys know you lost a loyal client and I'll make sure I take this all the way up yall wrong as hell. I should have knew by the way my face broke out after this last wax. My waxing on my intimate area has been ok but not the same since the first I'm still getting red and ingrown break outs here and there: very unsatisfying this location is not where you want to go. read more

Tram is the absolute best!! We have fun chats the whole time I sometimes forget that I'm there getting waxed lol - she makes it that comfortable. I leave feeling so smooth and clean. It is nice knowing that it's only sugar, lemon, and water being used. It's less painful than regular waxes in my experience. I was a virgin to Brazilian waxing but Tam made me feel so comfortable and explained everything in detail. She was so patient and sweet and kind. I was super nervous and afraid of the pain but I felt no pain at all. She did spray me with the numbing solution. She suggested a V facial and I had no idea what it was but decided to try it. OMG it's life changing. The whole process was so relaxing I was falling asleep. My favorite part was the warm steam.
