Carly was one of the nicest people in this type of job, I've had Brazilian waxes before at another place and it really was the worst (experience wise). I was extremely nervous going into this for two reasons, 1. I've never tried sugaring before and 2. Having a stranger see your privates, but I've got to say she's was very friendly. The interaction with her alone was a complete 360 from my previous experiences. I felt comfortable and her dog Kona was really sweet with my child. Definitely take her advice and not having it done during your ovulation period bc it will make it more painful. She did a great job giving me time to have my blood rtn back to the rest of my body. Just did this last night! So awesome I'm still amazed! We did a Sugar Party since it was a party of 5+ and she had cheese, crackers, & wine for us! The studio itself is small but its so cute! Carly was sooo sweet & professional! This was my first time waxing ever anything besides my eyebrows so I was a little nervous. Carly told me it's not waxing it's Sugaring and now I understand why. Great lady. Seemed super sweet and professional throughout my experience. I will admit I have really thin hair on my legs, but I left having paid 100$ and I had less then half my hair removed. In areas that had more corse hair I still was left patchy. In addition to this, I broke out in all the areas that were sugared. She mentioned that she makes her sugar paste from scratch which I thought was cool, but something in it made me breakout. Don't recommended if you have sensitive skin. read more

I too have been waxing for a long time and really wanted to try out sugaring. So I looked up sugaring on Groupon, purchased it for the Sugaring Studio, and went to the San Clemente location. It is a small, intimate room, and her dog is in the corner, but you don't even realize he's there (he is super handsome!). Carly is amazing. She was very informative and is super friendly. Her service was great; not too quick but not too long; she really takes time to assess her work, and asks your preference. Little things that I like about her service that others may not pay attention to: She applies pressure to the area she's just sugared. This to me makes a huge difference in the pain level! She also doesn't let you all "hang out" either and gives you the comfort of covering whatever area is not being serviced yet. She was very thorough and provided great tips on how to maintenance the newly sugared area. I have converted to sugaring from waxing after her service! I wish I still lived in OC to continue to see her and am now on a hunt in SD to find service just like Carly's! read more

I've been seeing Carly for about two years now so this review is long overdue. My old roommate introduced me to her and it was a match made in heaven. Previously I had done on and off waxing and would always stop because I would get ingrowns and couldn't see the point anymore. So I obviously was cautious about sugaring because I was scared that the horrible ingrowns would return, well two years later I've still yet to have an ingrown. I have been waxing for a long time and stumbled upon Sugaring Studio on Groupon. Bought it and made an appointment for the next day. So it's appointment only. I like that. Oh! I thought this was worth mentioning. My appointment was at 7p and upon request she was happy to move it up an hour. Flexible. :) Tucked away in San Clemente, Sugaring Studio is a real treat. The room is small. Only you, Carly, and her dog (who is very, very well behaved and doesn't interfere at all). I quite enjoy that. I find that places where you can hear other people (and sometimes get walked in on) are very creepy. This is total opposite. And she had Netflix playing. Buffy was on when I came in. Carly is a doll! She explains the difference between Sugaring and Waxing and tests the product on the back of your hand before starting. She's super easy to talk to and offered me a speedy version of the sugaring in case I didn't have time. I had nothing better to do so I opted for the "not speedy" option and it still only took like 20 minutes, which is NOTHING. I am so sad that I'm here for a wedding and can't be a regular (or even hang out with Carly). Seriously, great procedure. Great location. Everything was fabulous. Treat yourself, go see Carly.
