Miss Ky' is an answer to a prayer ! I recently moved to Raleigh and had been researching Sugaring for years. I have never had professional hair removal done and had been handling "Hollywood" all on my own. Now that I'm aging, it's become more difficult and I needed to find a natural solution and professional who could become a keeper. I did my Yelp homework and found all the raving reviews on Ky'. Pain is beauty ladies. Ky' really did well with distracting me with great conversation during an hour of what started to feel like punishment. She is meticulous grabbing every strand of hair in sight. The result is flawless. So fresh. So clean. Not as painful as a natural birth however. Sugaring is the method of using a combination of sugar and lemon that is made into a putty. It basically looks like slime and used to rapidly yank hair in the opposite direction of its growth. Once we were done with the black head removal and ingrown hairs, she applied a Hungarian mud mask to my skin and I got to relax. Ky' is such a ball of energy and a beautiful spirit ! Ky' is the definition of outstanding customer service. She makes her schedule work for you, and is incredibly responsive and flexible when it comes to somewhat last minute appointments or hectic schedules. Plus, she is on top of getting back to you in a timely manner, which helps me plan my life out. Sugaring can be pretty intimidating for a first timer. But Ky' made me feel super comfortable and did a great job explaining the benefits of sugaring vs. other hair removal methods. After helping me relax a bit with a little lavender scented cotton ball, she somehow managed to make the whole ordeal painless! On top of that, she does a very thorough job. My hair didn't come back at all for 2 weeks, and by the time I was due for my next appointment, the hair that grew back was softer, thinner, and lighter in color. I was very pleased with the results. HUGE PERK - Ky' knows how to make your lashes beautiful too! It was a last minute decision, but another client bailed on the Yumi Lash Treatment and she offered it to me, so I decided to go for it. It's something I wanted to do forever, but never really had faith it would turn out too well. Ky' proved me wrong! I wish I had before and after pictures, but my lash lift and tint made me so happy! I have Asian eyelashes, so they are long but do not curl. The Yumi Treatment curled my lashes up beautifully, and I was so much more confident without makeup. I couldn't have been happier! I couldn't have picked a better place for my first sugaring service! Prior to my service with Ky' I had never even been waxed before and was extremely nervous. I went in for the virgin brazilian which included a mask and an exfoliating glove to take home. The pain wasn't as bad as I originally expected. Ky' provided lavender, stress balls, lollipops, and great conversation to alleviate the pain. The owner's professionalism and customer service is top of the line. Ky' did an amazing job! This was my first time getting sugared but I have been getting waxed for about a year at European Wax Center. The sugaring did not hurt as much (although it did still hurt a little) and Ky' was super friendly! She has lollipops, lavender oil, and stress balls to help alleviate the pain. She was also very detailed and made sure every hair was removed. I noticed how much better my skin felt afterwards compared to how I felt after getting waxed. I have been struggling to find a natural hair removal method for years. I have sensitive skin so waxing is too harsh for me (e.g. high temperature, pull off the top layer of skin), and waxing can also lead to ingrown hair as hair is pulled out in the opposite direction of hair growth. I just heard that sugaring could be a better choice for me, so I searched and found Ky' and SugarKane. I'm so glad I did it! Ky' is very nice and professional. She treated my skin with care and removed the hair thoroughly. I did my underarm for the first appointment, and the result is amazing and lasts for five weeks! Ky' is excellent at what she does and always puts her customers first. She came in at 5:30 AM (yep, that's right) on a Friday - her day off - in order to fit me in to her packed schedule. Sugaring, like any type of waxing, can be painful; Ky' knows this and takes extra care to put you at ease.
