The polish was layered on a little thick, and chipped/ dented after I left because it wasn't fully dry. I appreciate that I got a discount for being a nurse and checking into Facebook (look on their site for weekly deals), and that made it worth while, otherwise, not entirely sure I would come again.

My pedicure was ok she painted outside my nail beds and had to make her correct them but had an attitude. I then go for my nails and she's not letting them soak. She can't do acrylic so I have to get dip which I'm not used to the lady who could do them the owner kept refusing to help. She does my dip the shape isn't what I want to wide doesn't want to fix them. Then it's time to paint she keeps asking what color I want I said French she's like oh that hard I don't know if I can do it. Then does one nail, while she's doing the one nail the owner lady is rushing get by turning off the lights in the salon so it's darker and she can't see very week so the other lady decided to help which was ok she tried. Then it's time to pay, it $140 all together because She said my nails are long. But wait the lady Who finished my nails she says I'l you'll get $15 to t since you donated them. I asked did you just add a tip? And when I asked for an itemized she brakes it down and the lady who did my set told her you're wrong. I pay that for longer nails almond shaping a speciality pedicure and better service in North hills. This place sucks and because she doesn't pay her workers well she hounds people to tip them. Another lady walked out says goodbye abcs she stops her at the door saying oh wait your husband said you can take care of . She didn't even do her nails! She told her I sent her a Venmo. Like mind your business. A tip is a courtesy based off of Service. You lay down as if you are getting a massage but instead you get 30 minutes of foot massage. I almost fell asleep but was lulled into a peaceful relaxation that lasted all day. I will certainly return and plan on making this part of my monthly maintenance. 30 minutes is just the right amount of time to relax and have someone massage my feet.

Hmmm ... first name and location was ringing a distant bell. Rewind about 2-3 years earlier. My high school daughter phones SOBBING, hyper-ventilating, unable to speak. Thought she had been in an auto accident. No... my hairdresser at a Cary salon dismissed my daughter from his chair when he learned that she had a specific style in mind for the evening's event with a curt: "I don't do prom do's!" and he whips the gown off her!! My daughter goes from booked salon to booked salon until she happens upon the salon where Krista worked at the time. Krista, with a daughter that age as well, on her feet all day, ready to call it a day, does my daughter's hair at 4:30 or 5:00 that Saturday afternoon out of sheer compassion and empathy because she has a huge heart! Now fast forward to present day, 6/15/13. I had to leave the Raleigh-area in December and am currently living at the coast. Sure miss my hairdresser in Apex: Krista at kj hair spa!! I will get back over the summer one of these days for an appointment. Even after I had relocated to the coast, I kept Saturday appointments with Krista until the house settled. My partner approached her about this and she refunded her money and told her she wishes her luck with her hair. To my surprise; I received a text from, Sonia saying since she was not going to do my partners hair anymore she's going to refund my money and wished me good luck as well ! I was shocked. Not only did she not do my color in a lasting way; she dismissed me as a customer !! I was a very good customer to, Sonia. I tipped her to the highest level and did not say anything when she canceled appointments on more than one occasion. Including once when I was pulling in. I went to a fantastic new hairdresser who to my surprise without my saying anything told me the last person who cut my hair cut it all crooked. Sonia; not only did you lose my partner and I, but, four of our other friends stopped going to you too. Sad; because it wasn't very nice what she did to me.

Very sweet person. Quiet atmosphere. Easy parking. Great location, next to NoFo's. Not as noticeable from a distance but was a less professional grade manicure and hand massage than I would have liked. Sort of timid. Even with the Emory board. Fingernails were not cleaned out and had to ask. Only went back and did just one. Polish was not applied smoothly or evenly in the two coats. There were streaks and bubbles. Didn't take it to the edges of skin, while leaving nail polish remnants on some fingertips. Finally just let her finish and departed, thinking I'd probably have to take this all off at home. It's not bothering me as much now, cosmetically, but I'm disappointed that my cuticles aren't even groomed well, which is what I'd mainly gone to a nail tech for. I think the neighbors come here mainly for facials and full body massage, so perhaps try that instead.
