The one thing all have in common is that specialty coffee is really sugary. And I'm no stranger to my sugary carmel lattes, but you really taste the coffee quality here and it is FAR better than anything else you'll get it town. The only food options asides sweets and yogurt are the breakfast burritos (egg, cheese, and sausage/bacon/potato). I usually get the bacon egg and cheese burrito when I stop to get coffee during my lunch break. My favorite feature of the coffee shop is the coffee shop itself. I can't overstate how nice this place is compared to any place in town outside the few restaurants on Main Street. I went on a date here once and would recommend this to anyone looking for that first meet up to get to know each other. I recently moved from Sumter, but when I visit again in the morning/early afternoon, I'll be here again for sure.

BUT this place? This was amazing! Not only is it adorable inside, we were greeted by the friendliest lady and some of what seemed to be regulars of hers. We felt so welcomed. We ordered a few different items like the mozzarella sticks and I ordered the elote (corn). My turkey burger was juicy and cheesy and flavorful and messsssyyyy! No apology, no excuse, just here's your order, have a nice day. The whole time I was there (Friday evening), I only saw 4 other customers in line or inside & there was at least 4 people working, so it's not like they were swamped with orders or shorthanded. That long & for that much money, it had better be a 5 star meal. I get home & see there's 2 sandwich style clamshell styrofoam containers & a single 4 ounce styrofoam ramekin. I opened the ramekin & the Mac & cheese did not look appealing at all. I tasted it & there was pretty much zero flavor. I can't tell you when I've had Mac that bland. I opened the side of fries & there might've been about 20 fries. The serving wasn't much more than a McDonald's small fry for comparison. I opened the wings & they were average size & looked pretty decent (by now I'd fully anticipated the little parakeet wings like Zaxby's). I tried them but was definitely not impressed. The sauce, Sweet & Hot, was mildly sweet but no spice or heat at all & it tasted like basic Kraft sauce off the grocery shelf. For the cost & time I could have spent another 10 minutes & driven to Florence & gotten better food & bigger servings for much less $$. I really hate that it was such a bad experience, especially after the previous less than stellar experience. I love small businesses & really had high hopes for something new for Sumter.

We went on a holiday weekend Sunday and was pleased that they also have the opportunity to have events at the play area. Note: the admission to the play area is different from the fee to strawberry pick. They also offer other produce and jams for sale in the strawberry picking section of the farm. Definitely pick up a strawberry lollipop for a light but sweet treat. It's a farm so there are bugs. Remember to carry some bug spray for the kids and there is ample seating if a member of your party does not want to go out into the field. Note. There are outdoor bathroom potty services only so be prepared.
