My experience with Dr. Vinh and his staff was excellent…read more They worked me in as a new patient on the same day(!) to examine a tooth that was having severe pain from a filling two months prior. Dr. Vinh examined the tooth, took x-rays as well as actual images of the filling and found that the filling was on an area where the body was rejecting it due to it being outside of the biological width of the area. He explained what was happening by showing a quick video as well as diagrams. He reccomended an extraction, after discussing and explaining other non-invasive alternatives, and offered to perform it at that moment. I decided to proceed with the extraction. They provided instructions for care and Dr. Vinh personally called me in the afternoon to check on my recovery. Aetna Insurance (PPO) covered most of the procedure, and the out of pocket expense was literally 1/10th of what I would have been subjected to at my previous dentist. I am grateful to not be in pain, and would reccomend Sequoia Smiles and Dr. Vinh as a primary dentist.

Old owners just ignored it but the new doc did the right thing! I hope this practice learns from this experience and treats patients the right way without tacky billing ideas.

When I went for my initial exam, I informed them I was experiencing pain on my front and a molar. They only took an image of my front teeth, did not take an Xray of my molar and moved on. As I was on my way to my 11am appointment they called me 9 minutes before to let me know they were running behind and asked me to come in at 11:30. I am also a dental assistant and understand but I expected to be seen as soon as 11:30. When I arrived they still made me wait another 30 min and ended up wanting me to reschedule since I had to be out by 12:30. They have no respect for the time of others and made me lose time from work to come sit around in their lobby. They also don't check insurance codes properly so be sure to check up with your insurance and confirm what they're charging you is correct. I will not reschedule with an office that does not take into consideration the time of others. I will be taking my money elsewhere.
