Poor communication and delays: It took me over 5 months to schedule a filler appointment last year because the manager, Mai, did not respond to my repeated emails (attached). I only got a response once I called the office, and even then, it felt like I was chasing them just to give them my business. 2. Inconsistent and misleading pricing: I was originally quoted $575 for under-eye filler in writing (attached) but was later charged $700 for the same service. This inconsistency in pricing is unacceptable, especially when it is clearly documented in their own emails. 3. Clinic-to-clinic confusion - I was quoted $1,500 for 2 syringes of PDGF in Park Ridge ($3,000 for 4), but later told by Millburn staff that their baseline price was actually $1,800 for 2 syringes. Most importantly, when I specifically asked Park Ridge if the 20% off promo at Millburn would apply to the same service and was told yes, no one told me that Millburn's pricing was higher. That critical detail should have been mentioned upfront so I could make an informed decision. Overall, between the lack of responsiveness, the long wait just to schedule, and the bait-and-switch style pricing, I cannot recommend SkinSpirit. Patients deserve transparency, consistency, and respect for their time, none of which I experienced here.

Serene is an organic spa, which is NOT easy to find in Bergen County, although spas are a dime a dozen. Knowing that natural products are going to be put on your body was a huge selling point for me, and I could not be happier with my experiences at Serene. Entering Serene is like entering a really chic boho type boutique. There are items for sale ranging from skincare products, to bags, clothing and jewelry, most (if not all) made by women around the US, which I love. It truly is a peaceful way to begin the spa experience - or find a unique gift to pick up for someone. I've now gone twice for a facial, and both times have not booked a specific type of facial, I've asked Melissa for whatever she thinks will work best for my skin. My facials have consisted of fruit peels (I believe a berry peel and then a grape peel at my most recent session), which smell delicious and WORK, though without the redness of a chemical peel that lasts for days following. The peels I have gotten are $85/session, and worth every single penny. There are other more basic facials as well that are a bit lower in price. Another thing I love about Serene is that there is no pushing of products on you - I always ask for recommendations on what I can buy to continue working on skin health, and Melissa is happy to make recommendations, but she also gives samples versus encouraging you to buy a full-sized product right off the bat. I did buy a softening chocolate mask that smells delicious (literally like chocolate) and works wonders ($20, and I've had it for 3 months at this point, with a ton stil left!). They require you to sign off on the legal document that is a combination of Hold Harmless if they injure you, and a list of service that are included in service your purchased. I listed on the document that I had an injured right arm, and believed that that would indicate they would treat that area with care!! One of the services listed was a change of clothes, so that I assume you change into those clothes for the massage. Despite purchasing a 90 min massage, I was led into a non-private room where there were other customers being worked on... I was never given this change of clothes. So the message person gave me a message through my street clothes...shirt and shorts! I was surprised, as I have had massages before and never have they not provided the message spa wear so that you get the proper benefits of a therapeutic massage. Masseuse did not speak English well, and proceeded to twist my injured arm behind my back [to stretch it]! I said that hurt and she chuckled ! I was shocked that they disregarded the note on my intake form stating that that arm/shoulder was injured. Furthermore, she worked unusually long on my left inner thigh at the juncture of my leg and hip joint, and lower back near my kidneys. I experienced severe pain in three areas after this message for three weeks! : My left hip joint, my lower back / kidneys, and my right arm. Very memorable as a non-enjoyable experience. There is ample parking. The entrance was a bit tight (space) but it was beautifully set up and peaceful. The front desk was small but efficient. The staff that checked me in was super sweet and helpful. She checked me in and got me set up in changing room. She walked me through each step of the process. I was given a locker to store my clothes and was given a white rob to change into and sandals. The dressing room had lockers a separate toilet area, shower and area to dress. When I finished changing into my robe I went into the relaxation room and waited for my masseuse to pick me up. I scheduled the ultimate massage. Chris my masseuse was wonderful. He worked on the many knots on my neck and back. I had a full body massage for 80 minutes and it was so worth it.
