Despite marketing herself as a "facial balancing expert," her lack of technical skill, poor placement, and fundamental misunderstanding of facial anatomy resulted in extreme, regrettable distortion. To make matters worse, her off-putting attitude made the entire experience deeply unpleasant. She deflects accountability and tries to make you feel like you are the problem, rather than acknowledging her own poor technique. I wanted to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. Unfortunately, I had multiple issues with SkinSpirit that left me frustrated and disappointed. 1. Poor communication and delays: It took me over 5 months to schedule a filler appointment last year because the manager, Mai, did not respond to my repeated emails (attached). I only got a response once I called the office, and even then, it felt like I was chasing them just to give them my business. 2. Inconsistent and misleading pricing: I was originally quoted $575 for under-eye filler in writing (attached) but was later charged $700 for the same service. This inconsistency in pricing is unacceptable, especially when it is clearly documented in their own emails. 3. Clinic-to-clinic confusion - I was quoted $1,500 for 2 syringes of PDGF in Park Ridge ($3,000 for 4), but later told by Millburn staff that their baseline price was actually $1,800 for 2 syringes. Most importantly, when I specifically asked Park Ridge if the 20% off promo at Millburn would apply to the same service and was told yes, no one told me that Millburn's pricing was higher. That critical detail should have been mentioned upfront so I could make an informed decision. Overall, between the lack of responsiveness, the long wait just to schedule, and the bait-and-switch style pricing, I cannot recommend SkinSpirit. Patients deserve transparency, consistency, and respect for their time, none of which I experienced here. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Kristy A. Gonzalez at SkinSpirit. This was my first time ever doing facial balancing, and I honestly didn't know what to expect going in (especially as a male patient). From the moment I sat down with Kristy, that uncertainty completely disappeared. Worst experience I have ever had!! Had me wait 4 hours to see Denisse, who would pop her head in periodically. That should have been my first warning. Completely try to oversell their treatment plan, with procedures I specifically said I did not want. Denisse was hurried during the treatment itself, which lasted 20 minutes--- after a 4 hour wait. Left me with lumps and severe bruising. When I pointed it out she said lumps would resolve, which they never did. Am horrified with the results and am going to get it dissolved elsewhere. Both are super knowledgeable and if you dont believe me check out their before and afters on social media. I think the big issue with many patients today is that they dont understand how important subtley and and a fine injector hand is when looking at your face. Had facial balancing with Denisse in March 2024. All she did was over sell herself. Put me down and put down my previous injector, who she trained!!!!! Told me that my skin is sagging (I'm 48 lol). Told me that she had to dissolve my lips, meanwhile I had no filler left in my lips. Just a way for her to make MORE money. I didn't even ask for my lips to be done by her. Went in for a follow-up a month later. I needed more filler to balance out my under eye/cheek area. The filler was $750. She only used half, then told her asst to get the other half bc she needed more. (So if I wasn't paying attn she would have charge me $750 but only for half a syringe (You pay up front before the procedure!!) Thief! Then told me, "I didn't want to do filler under your eye/cheek area because you have thin skin." She did it anyway. Then wanted to dissolve that filler at follow-up and have me do a laser or PRP. Your going to tell me that after I spent $5,000 dollars on filler and Skinvive. Zero consideration for your wallet, ONLY HERS! I've had filler done for the past 15+ years. I'm far from stupid. I know how long it should last. 7 months later and 5k down the drain, It looks like I had nothing done, BECAUSE she is HORRIBLE! There are so many wonderful, honest injectors that won't rob you, or put you down to make you want more product so they can make more money. read more

I have had many injectors over a very very long period of time and have never had someone inject so aggressively (painful) and leave me so battered bruised and swollen (after waiting well over an hour after my appt time) Again I completely understand some bruising and swelling is normal/expected but this was by far the worst experience I've had. I understand the results should be very subtle but it was so subtle (after spending a lot of $$ and several syringes) you couldn't even notice any difference. read more

I had a pretty good experience here recently. Will most likely come back, so would prefer to not include details about what treatment or which professional I decided to use, as it is nothing against them, however - to my knowledge - tips at a medical spa are not supposed to be asked for or expected. At a previous med spa I went to, that was also in New Jersey, I was told that legally any injector or aesthetician is not to accept tips as it is a medical procedure to get something done at a medical spa... I was very taken back when asked to tip here after my treatment. The establishment itself is very clean and they have a very nice selection of medical grade products, as well as their front desk staff were extremely polite and pleasant too. During my consultation, I was also taken back with the fact that my chosen professional did not even evaluate my skin. She just asked a bunch of questions about my skincare and skin type and then signed me up for my treatment without really taking a deep look at my face at all to see if that would be the best treatment for me... overall, I was expecting a little bit more guidance during the consultation or for her to make recommendations. Regardless, it was a good experience for the most part, and I will most likely return next year for maintenance... Lastly, for reference, I have aged skin / am in my 50's, and I felt like they were also trying to push some add ons/additional topical products pretty hard - which is fine and I know it is their job to upsell - but just be prepared for that as well and do your research before you go! after doing my research, I learned the add-ons were not necessary at all, but were moreso a nice to have if you have the extra $$ to spend...
