My weekly appointments at the end of my pregnancy were on Thursdays and during my last two she stripped my membranes without asking me, the first time unsuccessfully and the second time successfully beginning my labor. I had the feeling she was trying to get the baby delivered before the weekend. Stripping membranes is not only painful and invasive but it is absolutely something that should only be done with the patient's explicit consent. Unfortunately after reading some of the other reviews here it does not seem like my experience was unique. I should also say I had really positive experiences with her staff and was sad to end my care with them. It's too bad that my experience with Dr. Cunningham overshadowed my experience with the rest of her staff by so much.

I have been seeing Dr. Aimee for about a year now and figured it was time for a review. Although we have not been successful yet, I have been to several other clinics prior to Dr. Aimee and truly feel that she has been the best by far and wanted to lay out a few reasons: (1) Dr. Aimee personally saw me for every single appointment so she was the one doing my ultrasound and bloodwork. She also always took extra time to have us speak to her in her office after every appointment to go over next steps. That is a level of care I haven't seen at other clinics, where it is sometimes rare to see your doctor more than a few times the entire cycle. (2) I have been going through IVF for 4 years, which means I have had many many ultrasounds done throughout that time. I had been diagnosed with DOR and "unexplained" infertility. Since Dr. Aimee personally attended to me at every appointment, she got to know my symptoms and body very well. She knew what was normal for me and what was not normal. After only 5 months with Dr. Aimee, she discovered silent endometriosis off a random comment I made about a sore back, despite no signs of endometriosis. She was then able to guide me towards a specialist, where I had laparoscopic surgery to discover Stage II endometriosis. I likely would've continued believing "unexplained" infertility was my diagnosis if she hadn't put in the effort to dig deeper. This is a huge benefit when you are actually seeing your provider every appointment. (3) Communication with Dr. Aimee is readily available and easy. This has been really helpful for me in those random moments where something stressful comes up or if something happens over the weekend, she is always responsive. I really appreciate the communication aspect because infertility is a huge and stressful battle and she truly makes sure that your doctor is not an additional source of stress. This is unlike other clinics I have been to, where communication and getting in touch with your doctor can be really difficult. She truly cares about each and every patient and wants you to succeed. (4) Dr. Aimee is a great doctor for people that feel like they've "tried everything else." She is willing to think outside the box to come up with different solutions to your problems. Additionally, she is constantly doing research and trying to find new ideas on how to find new avenues to success. There are so many other great things I want to say about Dr. Aimee, but it would make this review even longer! Something that we struggled with for a while due to age was infertility. We had actually seen several fertility specialists during this long journey, and have gone through 3 rounds of IVF (2 mini's and 1 conventional) as well as an IUI. Although they were all unfortunately unsuccessful, we discovered that not all fertility clinics and doctors are created equal. While we found that many doctors take a very traditional, rigid and cookie cutter approach to treatment. Focusing more on luck through repeated attempts, Dr. Aimee was much more focused and tailored in her regiment. We always felt informed during this process, and confident in Dr. Aimee's recommendations. And unlike other clinics, we were always able to get ahold of Dr. Aimee directly. Instead of communicating with a nurse who would then pass the message along to the doctor if they felt it needed escalation. Along these lines, we were always shocked at how quickly we were usually able to get a response from Dr. Aimee. Sometimes even late at night. We often joked that Dr. Aimee probably doesn't sleep. Our only complaints about going with Dr. Aimee revolved around a few issues: 1) The initial application process to get a consultation with Dr. Aimee was lengthy, difficult, and required a lot of chasing from my wife due to poor follow-up and communication from the office. The individual handling review and processing of new patient applications would often go awol for days on end after sending out limited communication. 2) Billing was oftentimes not very clear and created a need for us to meticulously examine our bills line by line to ensure accuracy. 3) Dr. Aimee does not accept any insurance so 100% of the costs will be out of pocket. In addition, her rates are substantially higher than other clinics. Although we were ultimately unsuccessful with IVF, we were eventually blessed with a miracle baby through natural birth. Despite this, we would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Aimee to anyone looking for fertility care.

All of my pregnancy, I only saw Dr Jaeger, and was always happy with the way we made decisions, all of her suggestions, the information she provided - I feel like we made a very good patient-doctor team with one common goal and a great mutual understanding of that goal, which was to deliver a healthy baby naturally, with minimal interventions if possible. Some of our appointments were brief, maybe all of 5-10 minutes, others not so much, but she was always thorough and absolutely delightful to be around. Everything in the delivery room went according to plan and I feel like she not only respected my decisions but was also there to lend additional support emotionally in order for me to plod on when labour wasn't progressing, reminding me of what the goal was. I have been a patient in this medical group for 10 years. Over a year ago, I became pregnant with…read moremy 1st and about halfway through my dr. visits, I had Dr. Cardellini because my regular dr. was not available. I was so impressed that I made sure I saw her each time going forward and that she would deliver my son, Drake. I consider myself a high maintenance on the crazy side patient (low pain tolerance, asks a lot of questions) and I have sensed frustration with other doctors who have had me as a patient but not Dr. Cardellini. She has a warmth about her, an authentic concern. The main reason I switched to Dr. Cardellini is I feel she is really flexible with her opinions. She definitely knows her stuff and will express it but she listens to me and is willing to consider the emotional side of things and to even risk judgement of her peers (which is extra impressive considering she is "newer" to the group) and support her patient in choices that may not be the norm. For instance, the group agressively wanted to induce me and she listened to me and eventually became supportive in my decision to take things a bit further, even though it was not the 'standard' expected route. She is not a risk taker, in fact more on the conservative side - BUT she is willing to hear out the patient and take things on a case by case basis. I am not sure this is the norm within the group. I feel very at ease with Dr. Cardellini. She delivered my baby and yet gave me all the credit. I think my delivery was a success (despite 28 hrs of labor!) because of her presence which gave me confidence. Plus she laughed at all my husbands nervous jokes and attempts! Dr. Cardellini is a breath of fresh air to this otherwise (in my opinion) semi-stodgy practice. She warms things up there and maybe, hopefully, the others will take notice and start treating patients more like people with warmth, approachability and open minds. p.s. It becomes a bad look when doctors start to get greedy for charging an "admin" fee and when patients get absolutely zero value out of this. I had seen the doctor twice in one year-not sure what my $500 fee paid on top of payment for services. The greediness also is evident in offering "aesthetics" on top of OBGYN care-just odd.
