Sukhino feels like a mini-resort hidden in downtown New Albany. From the service to the amenities - it feels warm, peaceful, & a little like luxury. I booked a salt cave session for myself and my friend to unwind after a busy few weeks. I had been to Sukhino before (float & salt cave sessions) but it has been over a year since my last visit & it was my friend's first time. Laura got us all checked in, we signed our waivers, & she gave us a tour of Sukhino. Everything was clean & oozed peace & mindfulness. The float rooms are nothing to bat an eye at - serene, tranquil, & private. The salt cave looks like a tree house & feels like you are stepping into an oasis. Needless to say we both loved our salt cave session. Afterwards we sat & had tea in the lounge area. On our way out we grabbed a couple of fun seltzer waters that were available for purchase by the entrance of the center. My next visit (which will be soon) will be to float! My friend purchase his next salt cave session before we left, so he has plans to go back as well. I highly recommend checking this place out! My last review was over 2 years ago... time for an update!! :) I appreciate the calm and relaxing environment of this place. The people and services offered here make me feel welcome and at ease, which is a nice change from the usual hustle and bustle of the world. I have been asked some questions about floating, and I'd like to share my answers: - Why do you float? I float to relax without any interruptions or expectations. It's just me for 90 minutes of calm, with no notifications or pets needing my attention. - What does floating feel like? I like to imagine that I'm floating through space. The air and water are the same temperature, and in the darkness, it's difficult to tell where my body ends. - Does the room stay dark? I prefer the lights off, but there are different colored lights available. My favorite colors are white, blue, and green, but I usually prefer to spend most of the time in complete darkness. - What do you do with your hands? I usually rest my clasped hands on my chest, but sometimes I float with my hands behind my head or by my side. It depends on what feels most comfortable. - What do you do while you're floating? I let my mind wander wherever it wants to go. At first, I may be fidgety and adjust the lights or music, but eventually, my mind calms down. Sometimes I think about problems, dream up new ideas, or simply fall asleep. All of these are great! - What if I don't know how to float or swim? It doesn't matter. The saltwater's density prevents you from sinking, and you can use a float aid to elevate your head if you like. If you need to feel "grounded," you can put your knees up and rest your feet on the floor - the water is only about 10 inches deep. - Do you recommend floating? Absolutely! I suggest going more than once, though. The first time, or the first time in a long time, is usually a learning experience. You'll need to figure out what you like regarding lights, music, hand positions, head pillows, or float aids. Halotherapy has been an imperative game changer for my depression, inflammation, breathing issues, lack of clarity and focus clogged, clogged septum that makes hearing a challenge and allergies. Lately I've been under a lot off stress and in the past a relaxing flotation session has helped tremendously so I thought of gifting myself with a session at Sukhino. Meghan gave me a kind welcome and tour of the serene environment. I was delighted when I saw the actual flotation tank because it was much larger than ones I had used before and The soothing teal (my choice) lighting made it just perfect. It was exquisite being able to float in total peace and quiet with no input from the outside busy world. I was as limp as a wet noodle post float and it helped my arthritis too. Make a note that the building faces Market Street but you will enter Sukhino on the right side street. I would describe this experience as equally beneficial as a therapeutic massage. read more

If you love wellness then this is definitely a place for you. I moved to Indiana three months ago and was able to find this place on Yelp. This wasn't my first time floating so I had some idea of how it should be. I was really impressed with their cleanliness and customer service. I even tried their Heat therapy which I love too. After the first session I became a member. When my son came to visit, I booked two rooms at the same time and was able to use my credits to pay for his too. I recently moved back to the area. In my previous city, I floated 3-4 times a week. I knew when I moved that I needed to check out the local places. I have been 3 times and have had a great experience each time. The owners are very friendly and the facility is very clean. The welcome video that they showed was very informative for first time floaters. I wish their hours during the week would expand. They are closed Tuesdays and Thursday. This place is AMAZING!!! From the time you walk in, you feel comfort. They have smiling faces and the atmosphere is so welcoming!!!! The first time I came I did the salt cave...I walked in with a stuffy nose and couldn't really smell. I walked out and could smell the fresh air!!! The float tank - I could actually walk without a limp for 30 minutes!!! It was amazing!!! This place has a healing power that you have to experience yourself to believe it! This has been a terrible season for respiratory issues! There are so many viruses going around and I have been dealing with not being able to breathe well. I started looking into natural remedies and read about salt caves being great for helping with respiratory issues. Luckily, I have been to the Kula Center in New Albany for massage monthly, and once to the awesome acupuncture lady. I was waiting for this float center to open and I saw they had a salt cave also! I grabbed my BFF and we went and had a great time! There are a number of seating options- floating loungers, hammock swing chairs, benches, and a beanbag moon pod thing. When you walk in, it is literally a salt oasis! I was feeling awful and then I walked in and was so in awe of the serene, beautiful space they created! When you book online, you pick your seat and there is a description. I chose the saltiest spot in the mid floating lounger. It was quite comfy, with blankets and lavender eye masks available. My friend got the hammock. The benches and hammock had salt foot warmers available and those were so soothing. The room was a cool 70ish degrees and quiet. We were able to relax and breathe in the salt. There is a halogenerator that grinds pharmaceutical grade salt into the air. You can really taste it in the air. Afterwards, the results for me were as if I had gargled salt water all night long without having to! I could go on and on.....but if you are looking to just relax or get relief like I was, this is a great place to check out! There are a lot of benefits and I will definitely be back! read more

I cannot recommend Sukhino enough! From the moment I walked in, I was in experienced, kind hands. The ambiance alone was enough to be relaxing but the services were absolutely wonderful. I started with the infrared therapy, which literally made me forget where I was. Following up with the salt float truly transported me elsewhere. From the personalized details to the ready room, every moment was perfection. You may think you can't lay in water for 90 minutes but let me tell you, the concept of time is absent while in there! It was therapeutic in more ways than I had anticipated and I've already booked my next one. And if you happen to forget anything, they've got all you need...
