I don't get why I got that attitude, I go to various clinics and doctor offices, and honestly, this experience was one for the records. The last records, of course, at this location. I don't speak Spanish, but I could hear them talking about me and giving me looks while I was looking at them 5 feet away. The only nice part of the visit is that they have a nice lounge at Camarillo office. Doctor is over booked and doesn't have time to review notes which results in a lack of treatment or wrong products. Invest in people not furniture.

Today, October 27th, the office calls me and says since my insurance changed, they have to reschedule the appt. Now mind you, I told the scheduler back in Sept that the insurance was going to change. She said it wasn't a problem because he accepts both insurance companies. And actually the insurance didn't change, I had both in place, I was just going to drop one of them. Then today, the very rude and egotistical office Manager Elizabeth, says that there's no way that I can keep the appointment and kept saying that I didnt' tell them the insurance was going to change. But I did, and since she wasn't on the conversation, how the heck would she know??? When I asked why none of the other specialists I have appts with are having this problem, she said "I'm not going to argue with you." and hung up the phone, leaving me without a much needed gastro appt (I suffer from gastropareses from 3 failed hernia surgeries). Additionally, they contradict themselves when you ask them a question and two of them answer, sitting next to each other. They give opposite answers. However, Dr. Jay Guan is 5/5. He's a young, intelligent doctor that has good bedside manners and talks to you in a non-condescending way. He's very good at explaining things and working with you to understand your ailment. I have mixed reviews of this place. On one hand, I did get a general ova and parasite test from the…read morePA. However, I later learned that the testing I received did not specifically include Giardia or Cyclospora, which were strong possibilities based on my symptoms and history. I had to research this myself and schedule a separate appointment with the doctor to request the additional testing. If you are being evaluated for parasites, I would recommend checking your lab orders carefully to see exactly which organisms are being tested for rather than assuming a general O&P covers everything. I also think these two tests are generally not run because these are expensive tests that insurance might not want to fully cover (but don't quote me on this). In my experience, you are also more likely to initially see a PA rather than a physician unless you specifically request an appointment with the doctor. My appointment with the doctor ended up being by phone. My impression is that the physicians spend their time at the endoscopy center. The in office appointments are run by PAs that order the tests and procedures based on your symptoms. You only see the doc at the endoscopy center and they might follow up. I had to schedule an appoint with the PA to discuss the pathology results. I could not even view the results on the portal. I did get the photos and general findings on a printed piece of paper right after the procedure though. If you want a provider that messages back on the platform, this is not the place for you. It is very old school, schedule an appointment to do more tests or discuss your results. It's not like MyChart where everything is centralized. They are overdue for a new health management system. I wish you could message the provider after seeing them twice in person about ordering two additional tests. You have to schedule an appt for that. On the positive side, the staff has always been kind, and there is free parking in the garage in the same building. Overall, I wouldn't personally recommend this office based on my experience. I felt I had to do too much of my own research. Also if you are doing an endoscopy or colonoscopy, you will not be doing that here. It's a different location (Ventura Endoscopy Center).
