The dr I had & all the medical stuff when I got my procedure done were amazing, compassionate and really nice people My problem along with other peoples reviews I'm seeing is the communication and treatment from this office staff. I want to remind everyone that the medical staff are trained professionals, and the people that work in the office are not trained licensed professionals & totally lack any kind of training that deals with customer service. The online portal is BS too because there is an option where you select "yes" to receive updates and messages about upcoming appointments. I have never ever received not 1 message in my portal regarding appointments ever in my few years here. Please like this post if you're reading this and also agree with this statement! I was completely appalled of the age discrimination I received after I had to go into the office and figure out why my prescription wasn't getting filled. I called five times during business hours, and every time I got voicemail. I don't care how busy you are at the office, I'm busy too! I have to take time off my work to drive down to the office and figure out what's going on because I'm calling five times during business hours and no one's answering the phone to answer my questions. Turns out Vanessa was blaming me for not being responsible for not scheduling a follow up appointment to refill my prescription? "Oh yeah, we called you to let you know" " you haven't been in a year" Not one "sorry this is going on" not one "hey will sort this out will help you out." Vanessa was so defensive and completely unapologetic when I confronted her about putting the blame on me about everything going on. Then, as I'm waiting to schedule another appointment, an old man comes in the office and he gets help first instead of the younger woman that was sitting there before both of us. Vanessa then comes out and talks to this old man in a completely different tone I received, and also help this older gentleman before a younger woman that has been sitting there before both of us got there. The younger women even said, pointing to me " hey we were here first?" So now what I've experienced while I was there in the office is age discrimination at this office. They cater to & have more compassion for elderly older patients way differently than younger patients. This office staff is incompetent and completely unprofessional. I will not tolerate being treated differently or receive a different customer experience because of my age. Also, I just found out they just sent my refill prescription to the wrong pharmacy even though I've been going to Costco for the past year? I wonder what BS excuse reason they have now for that happening? After years of these issues of not getting reminders to schedule appointments (remember it's my fault tho like Vanessa said) Always having issues refilling my prescriptions! every year I get the runaround pharmacy-call insurance insurance-call your doctor. Age discrimination from the office staff. (Technically this can be a lawsuit if I wanted to take that far.) All these reasons are why I actually did find a different G.I. doctors office this week. I don't care how far I have to drive! I will never ever do business with any Insite Digestive Helth center across the country ever again. Think about it, I'm in my 30's. This doctor could have had another 30-50 years of business from me as a customer. Too bad the office is at fault for the doctors losing lifetime customers here at this office If these doctors don't want to continue to lose patients I highly advise they all meet to discuss and review : -invest and improve communication of upcoming appointments or forgotten about appointments/ issues filling prescriptions All we get is a phone call from my phone number that's not the office number. Send a postcard? send me a message in the portal! I thought that's what the portal was for. We're not getting messages about our appointments in the portal. -require anti-discrimination training, including age, discrimination -also investing in customer service training specifically regarding the medical field for your office staff If you're thinking about using this facility, please run as far away from you can. Location- 4005 Mission Oaks Blvd Unit A, Camarillo, CA I was referred by my primary doctor to get a procedure done at this facility. I have called a total of 3 times waiting for a person to talk to. As I waited approximately 15 minutes on the phone it sends me to voice mail in which I left my name, number and doctor referral. I did this for the 3 calls with the same results. I have been attending this facility for almost a decade now. They are highly professional, very caring, as well as helpful when it comes to patients asking questions. Those are the main reasons why I continue to choose their services and allow them to provide me for the care I require. They have an amazing staff, amazing doctors, & I enjoy my visits. I do not recommend this medical group. I went to their location in Camarillo. It was very difficult to get an appointment first of all. They are booked solid for months and they had zero appointments with actual doctors. I had to see a nurse practitioner instead and had to wait months to get in. They made me fill out a ton of info on their online portal yet still made me fill out the same info on paper when I arrived. They made me go through several test and were never able to figure out my issue. They wanted me to go to a surgeon yet they didn't know what my issue was??? I am now on the search for another specialist that can hopefully help me! Lots of $$ wasted! read more

My spouse had an appointment scheduled and was told a few days before that the anesthesia was not covered by Insurance which didn't seem right so I took it upon myself to call our insurance and was told that this place is trying to bill for a secondary anesthesia which is not needed. I was told by this office that it was THEIR policy that they use 2 anesthesias. This was never mentioned to us and we never signed any forms stating this and it's illegal. They are taking advantage of people and making them pay an additional $300 for this anesthesia. In my opinion if the doctors feel the need to give an additional anesthesia then they are not confident in their surgeries. Be careful with this place. read more

While my surgeon, Dr Walia, was very good (ER colon clip surgery) dealing with Insite was not. It is impossible to actually speak to a real person. I would send messages through the patient portal, and then wait days for a response and often the response did not even address my question. Sometimes I would be in great pain and in need of urgent help and ...crickets. Just beyond infurating dealing with this group. It's sad, because I would prefer Dr Walia as gastro. but I just cannot imagine dealing with this group again. An exercise in frustration. read more

I got a colonoscopy here. The doctor Micha Rojany, his team and his nurses were exceptional. I have been meaning to write a review for some time. They explained every step of the way and made me feel very comfortable. They even answered my embarrassing questions without making me feel weird. I highly recommend them. Unfortunately this office staff were unwilling to help my mom in getting in a sooner appointment even after her primary care doctor sent in 3 urgent requests. The people on the phone rude. They also refuse to allow you to switch physicians after seeing another one their physicians. I originally called in February to make an appointment and the nearest one with the same doctor whom she didn't care for was June 27th. I have called a few times since to see if there was anything sooner and they were in willing to help me. Sadly, I don't think this place deserves even one star. read more

Scheduling nightmares - even if booking on their website, get nothing - call in get voicemail. Finally after multiple attempts was able to talk with them today, but they would NOT schedule the actual procedure until going through Telehealth interview, which they could not schedule until another 3 weeks out. So will get first Telehealth interview (which I do not even really need) 2 months after getting the referral, and who knows when the actual procedure would get scheduled. I've called multiple times and each time I have been forwarded to a answering machine that promises I'll get a call back soon but they never call back. I was able to schedule the appointment and have the procedure done. Some of the medical staff had odd demeanors, but I thought nothing of it. Until I got the bill. I had called in advance to ensure that the procedure was covered by my insurance, but this group billed incorrectly causing my insurance to deny the claim. It took many many phone calls before I finally found someone willing to resubmit the claim correctly, after first being told the doctor refused to change the billing code. Why? I don't know. I hate having to make multiple phone calls and argue over something that should have been a simple transaction. Now, over a year later, I'm still being billed for anesthesia that should also have been covered. There is no record that they ever even billed my insurance company for the anesthesia and trying to reach someone over the phone at this group is a challenge. I will never use this group again and do not recommend them. read more

I saw a doctor while I was pregnant and took the first available appointment since the doctor I originally wanted to see was booked months out. I called 1 1/2 years later to switch to the original doctor I wanted to see since I did not care for the doctor I had seen. They said it's their policy to not allow patients to switch from one doctor to another in their practice. Guess they would rather lose a patient then let them switch doctors. Well I'm a patient here and have not had any issues with the doctors. My doctor is Dr. Shan and he is great. Takes time to answer my questions and I'm in an out right away. With that said, I will agree that though their staff is very nice and professional it is sometime difficult to get through to their office and also to staff. You absolutely cannot speak to your doctor, or any doctor in the practice, unless you're at an appointment. I told my doctor at my appointment that my diverticulosis has been flaring up and he told me to start taking 15mg of fiber a day. He didn't palpate my abdomen or check me out at all. I took the fiber and got full blown diverticulitis. I called five different times in distress and never got to talk to my doctor. Once I couldn't even leave a message because the mailbox was full. Once, instead of letting me speak to my doctor, the aide told me to just go to the ER. The ER is expensive!!! Finally, after six calls and not once being able to speak to a doctor, and getting progressively worse, I finally went to the ER. I had acute diverticulitis and all that fiber was making it worse. Much worse. Don't bother with this place. They don't care. read more

I too would leave a Zero Star for the Oxnard Office. How many 1 star ratings do you have to receive before you take action to dump your front office staff. With the employment rate as it is I would think you could get the pick of the crop for office administration staff. I received a "cold call" today for my wife today (04/27/20; 4:30pm, she wouldn't give me her name but you know who it is), probably a call to drum up business. She was rude, caustic and unbelievably abrupt and discourteous. Is there any other words I left out to describe this behaviour? I suspect your business is suffering from the one star trends and your overall rating of 2 stars. Have you got the message yet? Get some fricking decent help that treats your patients with respect! If I could do ZERO stars, I would!! When admitted at St. Johns Pleasant Valley Hospital, this is the Gastroenterology Practice that will typically show up. When you are admitted for a few days, you'll usually see nearly all the doctors in this practice. Sadly, I've been admitted multiple times and even more sadly, this practice of doctors was always assigned to me. In my experience Dr Billesdon was the only pleasant practitioner. Dr Rojany was the worst by far; zero bedside manner, inaccurate chart notes (If you complain of being in pain, they don't write nice things - I guess I should have just 'shaken off' my bowel obstructions?) and a seemingly general annoyance for patients that are educated on their health conditions and medications. I was concerned about being put on a different biologic (administered by injection at home) as I am very sensitive and reactive to ANYTHING new. My concern was being at home alone and having something happen. I was treated like an idiot - instead of Dr Rojany taking 2 minutes to educate me as to if and why my concerns were not relevant. I am super easy going and I respect people - especially my doctors, they DO hold my life in their hands. So it isn't like I'm hard to approach or am someone that isn't open to advice or another perspective. From that point on, I made sure to go to the ER where my GI practiced...if it meant not never having to be 'treated' by Dr Rojany, then I could deal with the extra 10 minute drive. I usually get along with everyone - especially my doctors - so I was confused as to what the issue was. It's nice to see I'm not alone in how this practice treats it's patients. I haven't been to that ER - or thankfully, seen any doctor at Ventura County Gastroenterology - in years...but I just received a letter telling me I'm due to be seen again "regarding my gastrointestinal diagnosis and it may be time for a follow-up...". Hmm, I wonder if their poor bedside manner and attitude is affecting their bottom line? It sure made me run far, far away from them and the hospital they use. read more

I don't know what all the negative reviews are about. I just got slotted in as the last patient of the day. On emergency. All on a busy monday after the holiday. Dr. Rojany and his staff were friendly pleasant and fast at processing my paperwork. His beside manner was superb. He listened to me, answered my questions, and made me feel cared for. He assured me I was going to be fine. He even got me in for my procedure for the following morning AND kept his staff on overtime to get insurance clearances. If all Dr's ran their businesses like this practice there would be a lot less stressed people out there. read more

I don't recommend this office to anyone with rare disorders. I called and left a message to cancel my appointment due to my severe pain caused by my Ehlers Danlos syndrome. I was never contacted. I then received a bill for$50 charge for a no show that I called to reschedule. A few days later I received a certified letter that basically dismissed me as a high risk patient. The staff is overworked, unprofessional, disorganized and just rude at times. No compassion what so ever. If you do choose to use them, I highly suggest a second opinion. read more

Absolutely useless. I would give a zero if u could. Last week I experienced sudden excruciating intestinal pain and kept calling the doctor helpline to schedule an appointment. The person answering the phone told me 3 times (after my 3 phone calls in 2 hours) that she passed on the message. After nobody called me back for hours I decided to go in person to the centre: they have two locations, Camarillo and Oxnard. I showed up at the Camarillo office and a note on the door says that they are closed for the day!!! No mention of this on the answering machine. No wonder no one was calling me back. So I called the office in Oxnard and they told me that they could not see me for a few days. I begged almost crying, I was in excruciating pain and I am pregnant. So After insisting a bit and begging they slotted me in for the day. I showed up a few hours later, they told me I would see a doctor but only a nurse shows up, going in an out of the room to ask the doctors the questions I am asking her and To report the doctors response. Finally Their verdict was that there isnothing that could be done until I delivered the baby (3 months from now!!!) and that apart from avoiding constipation there was no much I can do. I was appalled but too weak and in pain to argue. I returned home and looked online again and found Dr Rosental in Simi Valley. I went there this morning and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. Oh and he is used to pregnant patients so he knew exactly what to do. read more

If i could leave negative stars, I would. I called to schedule an appointment and clearly explained to them that I have HMO insurance with an opt out PPO with full PPO benefits. The girl that answered the phone didn't know what that meant, nor did her office manager, so I was required to leave a message for their authorization department so they could verify before I made an appointment. I get a call back, and the girl didn't even bother to run my insurance, she just indicated that she knew that I wouldn't be covered. I called Blue Shield and complained about this office. Blue Shield indicated that there should have been no problem in scheduling, and they have a system directly connected to benefits should their be a problem. I was done arguing with the office, so I opted to go to another Gastrointestinal doctor and their office gave me absolutely no problems. Steer clear of this office, because clearly their staff isn't interested in helping patients. read more
