Just about the best experience you can ask for at a dentist office. Professional, prompt, and pleasant throughout. Everyone in the office is incredibly friendly and communicative. It also doesn't hurt that they laugh at my bad jokes and endure all my questions with grace and understanding. You'll notice a pattern in all of the "negative reviews": bad spelling, incoherent opinions, along with unhelpful and entitled bloviations. Dentist and assistant are extremely nice but I had a horrible experience today. I needed lots of work done. When I made the appt I didn't realize they were going to everything I needed in one visit. I blocked out 2 hours from my job. 4 hours later I had a miserable headache from the nitrous. My work phone was blowing up. I am also a type 1 diabetic and no one told me I would be there four hours so my blood sugar was extremely low. I find the office manager clueless on what needs to be communicated to the patients and the lack of communication on the plan of action and time it would take. I had a root canal and now am needing it redone. From the very beginning, it did not feel right and she immediately referred me to a endodontist. looking at the bad reviews, I wish i had done my research before going to her. Before actually going through with the treatment plans recommended by Dr. Alouani, please get a second opinion. She told me I needed a tooth extracted and recommended a dental implant. I got a second opinion from another dentist, who said she disagreed with that plan and referred me to an endodontist. The endodontist was able to save my tooth. The plan recommended at Embassy Dental would have cost much more, required much more of my time, and would have resulted in losing one of my teeth, and required surgery. Meanwhile, when I contacted my insurance and payment estimate provided by Embassy, they informed me that Embassy was overcharging for services. After my experience, I talked with a couple of neighbors who had similar experiences with Embassy. Apparently they have a reputation for recommending treatment that is not needed and are notorious for making billing "errors" and misquoting what insurance covers, etc. read more

The hygienist and dentist are great. The office staff made my experience awful. 3 weeks ago I went in and had a bunch of expats. The doctor explained that I needed a new crown and that she could put a new implant in. All good except that for some reason they had not left enough time for me to see the hygienist that day so I would have to come back. I explained that even though I am a teacher I get paid by the hour and since I had already missed a day of work and could not come back until school was out. My appointment was for a Tuesday at 1. That morning I got a call asking if I could move the appointment earlier, then moments later I got another call telling me that they needed to cancel the appointment, that the dentist had hurt her hand and we needed to reschedule. I understood that, then asked if I could still come in to see the hygienist. She told me that he was available at 11 which made no sense. I got in the car with an hour to get there, but there was a accident ahead of me and no way to get around it, so I called and told her I wasn't going to make it on time, and asked if I could just get it all done the next day and was told that would work. She said yes. When I got there I did get to see the hygenist and all was good. When the office manager came over to talk about costs for the crown and implant she told me that my insurance would not cover these. I checked it out and this was true. I asked what this would cost if I paid out of pocket I couldn't get an answer. no-one seemed to answer this. I asked how the billed the insurance company on my last visit, and even though I had given them my new card, the used the card on file NOT MY CURRENT - then she asked me if I wanted to try it again for for today. I let her know that I was not interested in committing fraud today. read more

I DO NOT like to leave bad reviews (just see my rave review of the same office from 2/27/2023). But after my former Dr. left, Embassy Dental is a totally different place! Since Dr. Boseman left, there's been a total 369-degree change in the over-all vibe of the office. It's gone from a warm, inviting, and laid-back place to stiff, cool, and business-like. I couldn't believe the change, which I put down the new dentist, Dr. Alouani--company woman--all they way. There was no warmth, no smile (didn't even bother to lower her mask when she spoke to me). I was told it was going to take 2 weeks to get my crown. I was told I was going to get a call back when it was ready. I had to call them when it had been over a month and they were like "oh its here" and scheduled me. Then 8-9 months later they charge me even more money for what shouldve been taken care of then. Over the course of the months, I had called and called only to be told that someone would call me back. It never happened until insurance was asking them about a file that wasn't adding up. The confusion in charging me with my wife's insurance information on my bill . I have tried talking with an individual at the office in Brentwood even before I saw my treatment specialist. The feeling of having to constantly talk with my insurance company about what my coverage should be and my wife inquiring to clarify coverage on herself as well as me. I have a separate insurance policy with a separate number. 'Once speaking to the office rep again it seem as it was cleared but to walk away and return to find that the confusion was still not cleared up is frustrating. 'They are still submitting a claims under my wife's name and insurance policy after we spoke that we have separate policies with separate employers , it still come up as a confusion even after calling the insurance company finding that it should be a verification in two separate policies under each of our separate names. I still received a bill with my wife name on my policy number. 'The main part is they claim that the system charged my wife and when she called the insurance company for clarification , they told her I owed the bill. 'I received no contact from them stating this or received no documentation until I went in for my visit and asked them if we can clarify some things. at this time is when I tried to clarify the confusion but to find the reasoning because of their misinformation. 'They moved the charge over to my bill but still have my wife name on my bill. 'I feel it is being set up for more confusing conversations about their system. 'I also asked what I was going to be charged for my Dr. to correct an anoying tooth issue after he had placed a crown in my mouth. 'I was told by the desk receptionist and hygienist that it was going to be free since the tooth was inserted by them. My wife had the same issue where it felt like her tooth was higher and she went in and was charged emergency visit fee. I called to settle and clarify a bill and to again ask what I will be charged for the office visit for the Dr. to examine and fix the tooth. 'No answer since they schedule a return visit , but no answer to what I will be charged. It is one thing to have dental issues before and see it was not rectified , but the main fear is not known how you should be charge is even more mind boggling. I feel that Dr. Bozeman is ok to me , but I am the patient feeling the problem in not knowing what I will be charged for my visits are a great concern in not having such a less stressful experience at my dental appointments. BUYER BEWARE. ALLEGED SCAMMERS. There is a good chance they will double bill you. They'll wait months after you pay a bill and then attempt to double charge you. They tried this a bunch of times for a bunch of visits. Took me a few years to figure out this was obviously either intentional or a problem they were very well aware of and refused to fix and that at NO point, if a payment was made wrongly, would they then correct it on their own initiative and refund. They will assure me at the office that everything that was done was covered by insurance and at my insistence that they had checked and made sure--and then three months later get hit with a bill for alleged uncovered service--then after paying that around 2-3 months later they attempt to get me to pay for the amount that I already paid and had to be presented with receipts before they "found the glitch" and admitted they had made a mistake--admitted but took no responsibility. Gave nonsense excuses and ones they had used before in previous attempts. Refused to give district manager contact information, denied even knowing their chain of command and took NO responsibility. They also each time said they fixed the problem and it wouldn't happen again. They even multiple times on different occasions used the same line that they got rid of a lot of people and whatever was the problem was associated with the relieved staff--same excuse half a year apart and obviously the fall back position when they get caught. They probably make a fair amount of money on double charging people who do not catch it. This is not a "Karen" complaint. This strongly appears to be an intentional scheme. read more

Hands down, worst dental experience of my life. I had all my check ups and braces twice as a kid so I spent my fair share of time in a dental chair. I was new patient scheduling a routine cleaning with them because I was new to the area. I scheduled my appointment and showed up at 8 am. The tech explained we would have to take x-rays bc it was that time to get them done again and my insurance covered it...okay fine. No biggie. Except for the part where it took almost 90 minutes. THEN: the hygenist comes in and does some gum test thing that measures how deep my gums are. I don't know what it was but if I was between a 1-3 I was okay and a 4-5 meant my gums weren't great. He measured every corner of every tooth and magically the very last corner of the very last tooth was a 4. He then explained that it was imperative to my dental health that I get this $350 cleaning every 3 months. THEN: the actual dentist came in said I needed this blue tooth $240 tooth brush or my dental health would decay rapidly... Now.. mind you this has been two hours in the chair and they have not even began to clean my teeth. We then look at my x-rays and they said I needed 7 cavities filled and 3 root canals on top of everything else. They truly made me feel like my teeth were going to fall out tomorrow if I didn't get this done today. Also this was in December and my insurance resets in January. Both the dentist and the hygenist were very pushy about how I needed to see how much insurance I could get out so that I could pay for the procedures, treatment, and toothbrush all withen the next 2 weeks. Long story short: almost 3 hours later I never got my teeth cleaned and I ran out of there like a bat out of hell. Don't go. read more

I went in for a cleaning and they informed me I would need a deep cleaning. So I agreed until I asked he price which was over $400. I then declined and ask for a basic cleaning. They refused to clean my teeth PERIOD!! So I found another dental office and asked them for a deep cleaning after my exam they informed me that I did NOT need a deep cleaning and proceeded to give me the basic cleaning. This is an unusual review - I am not a client. But yesterday I fell on the curb outside their office and was injured and bleeding. The lovely people from Embassy Dental (I think 4 of them!) immediately came out, stopped the bleeding, called 911, reassured my daughter standing by, waited with me till the ambulance arrived, were reassuring, kind, attentive, everything a good neighbor would be. It's Always Hit Or Miss When It Comes To The Dentist Office For Recurring Appointments & Never Really Receive The Same Care From The Doctor Who Worked On You Before But You Get A Different Doctor Each Time. 2 Weeks Ago I Go In To Get Some Work Done & I Tell Them My Teeth Are Extremely Sensitive To Basically Everything Cooler Than Room Temperature. She Numbs Me Topically & Later With A Injection. Procedure Went Well. She Did Her Job With Proper Care. I Left Pain Free. Today Was A Totally Different Story. I Tell The Assistant That Things Are Very Sensitive & In Return She Tells Me To Just Bare With Her & Relax While She Blast Freezing Cold Air On My Tooth Repeatedly Throughout The Visit. Then The Doctor (male) Repeats These Same Steps Without Any Care While Demanding Me To Relax My Tongue So They Could Get Done With A Rush Job Because He Was Working On 2 or 3 Patients At The Time. Half Way Through , I Cant Keep Still And It's Almost Like He's Getting Frustrated Because I Cant Sit Through Pain & He Realized He Wasn't Working On A F****** Corpse. They Decide To Numb Me. They Used A Topical & Without Waiting For That To Set In, He Goes In With Needle & I Felt All Of It. He Didn't Wait Until I Was Numb, He Went Right Back To Work All While I'm In Pain & They Talked To Me As If They Didn't Care About S*** Other Than Completing The Task. Both the dentists and hygienists are friendly, courteous, and skillful. The anesthesias are comprehensive and the procedures done are tolerable without discomfort. I have been visiting the Embassy dental, mostly at the Brentwood office, for the past 30 years after I moved to Middle Tennessee. There are personal changes over the time, but the services are always great. I have been to other Embassy dental in Nashville twice, and the services I received were very good too. read more

Once negative stars are available, I'll edit this review. This practice is the used car sales approach of dentistry. You are required to schedule a consult prior to your first cleaning. During this consult, they took xrays, shoed me videos, and evaluated my gums all prior to meeting the dentist. Once I met the dentist, he greeted me with, "Let me guess, you're not a flosser!" Although I have my teeth regularly cleaned, have had excellent dental care for the previous 9 years in another state, floss regularly, and take care of my teeth, the 'dentist' recommended 8 teeth that needed fillings. I am also in need of a very expensive laser cleaning. When I asked more questions about what had happened with my teeth, he asked me if I thought one of my teeth looked like it had a cavity. He never once talked to me about the fact that on my first visit with this person, he was asking to work on such a high percentage of my teeth.... I was escorted to the waiting room where I waited for a 'benefits specialist'. Once I met with her, I left with my receipt that shows the dental benefit that my insurance will pay for the remainder of the year. Also curious how this place isn't violating privacy laws.....another patient was getting one (of I'm sure many recommended.....) filling in a chair very close behind mine. I could hear everything. When I returned home and shared my experience with my neighbor, she shared that she had a very similar experience and actually left mid-appointment. Stay away!!!!!! read more

This practice is associated with a Dr. V, he is VERY business not patient oriented, pushy to maximize procedures and billings over patient requests and actual care. I fled the Brentwood location to get away then he moved to the Westgate location. So many bad experiences for our family in just 6 months. For example, I arranged childcare for 2 young kids only to be told in my first cleaning appointment that it was a consult. I would need to schedule a second appointment for that after going to the front to sign a contract for all the cosmetic and crown improvements Dr. V highlighted as "Necessary". Beforehand I heard him use his magnifying wand across the hall with another patient there for hygiene care who declined a laundry list of procedures only to be further confronted and pressured by him. I told him I didn't need a smile like Carrie Underwood just a cleaning. Was refused the service I scheduled for that day. Still presented the $3000.00 + care contract neatly printed out although I said, "No. Just clean my teeth". Anotherexample, I had a middle school son loose a completely healthy tooth to a pulling that was "required" and kick myself to this day. Of course it meant committing to orthodontic work which was Dr. V "necessary" treatment plan from the get-go. The practice had such turn over we hardly saw the same doctor twice during that treatment. My son still has an uneccesary gap from losing that tooth. Avoid Dr. V and his Embassy healthcare clinics. Overbooking and waiting unreasonable amounts of time were commonplace too. Again, it's about maximizing profit over the patient. If I could give Dr. V and his team leadership/practitioner ethics a lower rating, I would. Avoid the franchise called Embassy Dental. read more

After being overcharged twice for services at this office, I will never step foot in an Embassy Dental location again. At the time that I was receiving a dental implant, I was dually enrolled in two insurance plans: my student insurance plan and my parents' insurance plan. It almost goes without saying that my parents' plan had far more generous benefits; however, Embassy Dental considered their plan to be a "secondary" insurance since it wasn't held primarily in my name. While Embassy Dental told me initially that its staff would only file with my primary insurer and that I would have to file any claims on my own, I was never informed that Embassy Dental would bill me at the uninsured rate -- over twice the amount of what my secondary insurance would have charged! Of course, I was fully enrolled in BOTH plans. When I attempted to redress the situation, I was told that their office was permitted to treat primary and secondary insurance plans differently. Yet in the conversations I had prior to my implant, no one ever told me that. And if that wasn't enough, I realized during the course of my back-and-forth that Embassy Dental had overbilled me for nearly $300 on other services during the nine months I was a patient there. After repeatedly calling both the Brentwood and corporate offices, Embassy Dental finally reimbursed me for this amount; however, to this day, they refuse to reimburse me for misleading me on my dental implant -- or even apologize for not being fully honest and transparent. While I never had problems with or complications from the actual dental services I received from Dr. Van, I am greatly disappointed with this office's lack of professionalism, courtesy, and transparency. Especially during these difficult economic times when everyone is trying to save money, I hope no one else has to have a similar experience. read more

Extremely bad business practice and billing pracice. 1. they want to do crown for several of my teeth which I found is not necessary after get 2nd opion. 2. did a laser clean which costed 200+ dollars out of my own pocket without mentioning to me verbally. it was listed on the consent form though. so there is nothing I can argue since I am careless on this and just assume they will tell you everything up front worth mentioning. If you really wants to get treatment from them, be sure to read the consentment form line by line and ask them line by line which is covered and which is not. 3. my wife went to the Embassy dental in Franklin and their business practice is as bad as this one too. read more

First off your office was an hour almost 2 hours late for my 8 am appointment (the first appointment of the day). At 9:30-9:45ish I was finally brought back to the chair. After getting X-rays I sat in an exam room of almost 45 minutes without anyone coming and talking with me. Finally the dentist came in and looked at my teeth and decided I needed 3 cavities filled. Another hour goes by and I had to ask where someone was and what was going on because I was completely ignored. After finally getting in to tears to one of the dental assistants she said that they would move me to to the other chair to do my cavities. Another hour goes by of me sitting in that room and waiting and waiting and I said something again. She said "i'm not sure when she's going to get to you".....at this point it was almost 1 pm and they hadn't started working on my teeth so a total of 2+ hours of sitting around with no one helping me or explaining what was going on. I felt like they didn't care about me as a patient and they didn't care about my business. Finally the dentist came into the office and I looked her in the eye and explained again that I had been waiting way longer than I needed to be. Mind you several patients have come in and out of being seen. After telling the dentist how upset I was and I started crying because I was so frustrated...she finally started working on me. I left your office at 2:30-2:45ish pm. My appointment was at 8 am!! The worst part about this was I was never told by the receptionist that I wasn't going to be getting a cleaning from them at my appointment which was the whole reason I got the appointment. I got there and no one explained to me that it would only be a meeting to check out my teeth instead of cleaning them. A exam/cavity fillings should have never taken 5+ hours. I've never had a doctor/dentist office ever made me feel like I didn't matter to them. Your office never made me feel comfortable or welcome and I was very hurt by that. We had family in town who live 10 hours away and for me to have to waste half my day there made me so upset especially because I even explained that to your staff several times. read more

Went into this facility with great confidence only to be let down. I was pregnant while going to Dr. Van. I had several teeth break off and he sanded down the wrong tooth close to my gum line. So I now have tooth sensitivity. I also got a horrible crown done here. There was no communication with the hygienist on staff which caused a drill to go through my lip! He was very rude with me and unfortunately I can't forget this experience because he messed several of my teeth up. read more

I went and had a filling and it was fine. But, the hygienist did not do a very good job. He left stains on my teeth. I think the water jet cleaning system does not work well. When one of my kids had some cavities filled they gave the novocaine shot without first number the gums. I've not heard of that in 30+ years. This is not the dark ages. Had a pain in my gum, went to Embassy Dental in Brentwood since they were open on Friday. Saw Dr. Van whatchamacallit. He said the xray revealed a shadow, which was a cavity, and that I needed to get a root canal immediately (schedule an appointment) for $3500.00. But I never saw any "shadow," and so I didn't believe him. But I'm guessing he talks many people into believing they are seeing a "shadow." So, I went to Dr. Lawrence Averbuch, in Nashville, for a 2nd opinion. His xray didn't reveal a cavity, thus no need for $3500.00 root canal. Probably a chip from an old wisdom tooth that got left behind in an extraction, years ago. Embassy Dental charged me $109.00 to lie to me, and in order to 'extract' even more $$ out of me, in the future, for a procedure they knew I didn't need.
