Couldn't see it at all. Accidents happen. They send someone to pull us out. He got stuck as well because he couldn't see it either. After towing us in, we were told another pontoon was stuck in the same spot. We were told it "happens all the time". When the last called to discuss the deposit. We were told they "need to make a rule to not go past Cove 5". So if this is already an issue, why is there no mention of it and why wasn't it marked at all? Ok so what. Keep the deposit for something that happens all the time. Sounds like a money trap to me. The staff used to be friendly and perky. Not so much anymore. They are all very monotone and act like they are miserable to be there. Out of the SEVERAL times I have been to this Marina ( also all of the people I've sent there) I have NO desire to go back. I get that things happen but if something is a known issue and still collecting deposits from people. That's down right dirty. Thank goodness the bank is on the ball and fixing the MARINA'S mistake. I hope people keep an eye on their accounts so that this doesn't happen to them.

Terrible service I…read morecalled 32 marine to schedule an oil change in the power head and the lower end unit for my boat motor along with the power head oil filter. When I received the bill they were charging me for changing the hub and the water pump impeller. I asked them why and they said that is general service but the impeller is not required for another 150 hours and there is nothing wrong with the hub. It is a hub design they have never seen before. They stated "we have never seen a hub like that". They changed the hub because they thought it was bad but that is how this style of hub is even when new. I don't understand how they can determine a hub is bad if they don't know anything about that style of hub. I called and told them that I did not request or authorize these changes and got transferred to the service manager. This service manager just kept making excuses saying Mercury manufacturer suggested maintenance is not correct and Mercury has no idea what they are doing. They then proceeded to talk to me in a condescending manner and were very rude trying to justify their actions rather than fix the issue. I requested to talk to their manager and when talking to them they claimed "manufacturer maintenance says to inspect the hub and water pump impeller, so if we inspect it we might as well replace it". They also tried to go on and say that Mercury manufacturer suggested maintenance is a bad guide to follow. Overall terrible business running a scam of up charging everything while trying to rip off customers.

I am very happy I chose this family run resort for my weekend fishing jaunt. Rich (a Vietnam era…read morenavy vet) and his wife Mary run this resort with help from their 4 young adult children. The rooms are a nice size, clean, and the beds are comfortable. There is plenty of space for your car and boat/trailer. There is a connivence/bait store on site with everything from fresh donuts and coffee, to fishing gear, to breakfast cereal, to feisty minnows. Rich is very knowledgable about fishing and boating on Lake Shelbyville. Rich and Mary are also quick with recommendations on local restaurants. Although I recommend the biscuits and gravy or omelettes prepared by Rich every morning. The resort is just a couple hundred yards from the lake. I had a great stay here and will definitely be back.

Drove down 3 hours from Chicago. This dealer came highly recommended…read more because they were supposed to do quality work. Also they take trade-ins on Evenrude E-tech motors if the pass the quality inspection test. My Engine did not pass their quality inspection for them to resell. So, as was explained to me, I received less for the trade in. Understandable. I had a brand new 2026 Yamaha F90 installed on my 18' Lund aluminum fishing boat. luckily, I went to lake Shelbyville for an overnight stay to try it out and put some break in hours on the motor. I found they installed the throttle directly in the path of the throttle for my kicker motor, so I was unable to advance the kicker throttle all they way. Also my electronics did not work. Luckily I stayed the night. I brought it back, they moved my kicker throttle and hooked my electronics back up. I then went home. Put more break in hours on the motor. I noted at full throttle, My boat would no go faster than 26 MPH and get no more than 5100 RPM with a 4 blade prop. Went to a prop dealer and switched to a 3 blade with not change except up to 5200 RPM. I then took it to a certified Yamaha dealer/mechanic near Chicago and he found the cable was installed incorrectly and I was only getting 25% of my throttle. Everything works fine now. That cost me in excess of $800. Between Gas (2 trips, 3 hours each way) , Lodging and repairs. I wish I would have just bought from a dealer near Chicago. Maybe everyone else has had luck with this dealer. But not be. As information. The motor I traded in that did not pass the test for resale was a 150 H.P Evenrude E-tech Model :E150DPLSUF Serial:05159081
