I've been to my fair share of buffets and this was by far the worst one I've ever had. The…read moreselection of food was sparse and all of it was low quality flavourless mush. The potato soup was like chunky water. The macaroni noodles in the mac n' cheese were overcooked, same with the noodles in the beef and noodles. The vegetables tasted canned and soggy. The mashed potatoes were lumpy. The salad bar had very little toppings to choose from. The dessert was disappointing too; a very dry chocolate cake with not much flavour, topped with whipped cream. The cake crumbled as soon as my fork touched it and stuck to the roof of my mouth. Oh, and speaking of cutlery...my fiancés butter knife had a big splotch of old crusted food on it. Overall, the buffet at Ryan's Restaurant was not good and I would only recommend it to someone whose standards couldn't possibly get any lower. I would go as far to say that this buffet was worse than the Golden Corral buffet, which says a lot, because Golden Corral is bottom of the barrel food in terms of quality. The only decent thing about the buffet was the fried chicken, which still had no flavour but at least it was cooked well.

The goulash I was told was very good and flavorful. It looked really nice. The fettuccine I had was comparable to many Italian restaurants and the serving was actually bigger than I was expecting. Salads came with the dinners and they were out of oil and vinegar or Italian dressing so we went with Ranch. The burger platter was the star. It was plated like a picture, perfectly cooked with fresh crispy fries and a cole slaw my hubs could have had seconds with. He thought it was that good. The restaurant was decorated in a Summer like theme and everything was clean and well lit. Our waitress was pleasant but never came back for any refills or to check on us. Still we will go back and try some of their other dinners.

Disappointing visit this weekend with friends from out of town. A band was playing which was nice. But unfortunately, again, we were treated to poor service. We were seated at a bar table. My friend wanted to treat us to appetizers. He went to the entry desk to place an order, and was told by the owners daughter, "the manager", that once the band starts playing they no longer serve food!?!? Which was disappointing. Not to mention a $40 loss of revenue for the restaurant. But even more upsetting was watching, "the manager", personally deliver a plate of French fries to her friend standing next to our table, within 5 minutes of informing us of no food services!!! It seemed like this place has become a place for her personal parties, as we witnessed her with a beer in her hand the rest of the night. "THUMBS DOWN" for upsetting my guests!! I just wish the customer service here could get better. Until then my visits will become fewer and fewer, to avoid constant disappointment. read more

We came during their 50th anniversary so they were a little busy but the wait was pretty short. Their buffet was so good. They had so much to choose from. A salad bar, different meat that was absolutely delicious, just a bunch of comfort food all in one place. How can you beat all you can eat comfort food?! The staff were on top of changing out all of the food when the trays were empty too. Brisket was better than southern; pulled pork had no flavor; ribs were burned; great salad bar; very few veggies. Locals love this place and we recommend. Neat and different ambience. Servers are first rate. Large parking lot. Older couples are attracted to buffets.
