It also has a covered pavilion with picnic tables and a grill that you can rent. I have been to a few kid birthday parties here. The playground equipment is very modern and well kept. There are swings, slides and jungle gyms. Most of the equipment is under some tarp shading. There are also park benches around the playground where parents can sit and watch the kiddos play. There is a small paved walking path around the park. I would not recommend it for the serious runner however, because you would be doing a lot of laps. The park also has a decent sized private parking lot and a well maintained basketball court. And if it could not get any better, they have a bathroom on site as well. What more could you want. Even though this park is available all year long, it is best during the summer.

When I stopped on Friday morning to walk the dog, I was shocked to see the parking lot (which holds 60+ cars) almost full. They have 8 pickle-ball courts and they were full with a line of people waiting for a court The pangs of the balls were pretty loud and disrupted any peacefulness that the park has to offer. There is even a set of bleachers to watch the pickle-ball games. Anyway, the park does have an amazing playscape, perhaps the best in the Indy area. There are multiple climbing structures, swings for all abilities, a merry go round type structure and more. There is soft matting under the structures to keep the kids safe. Kids were having a blast. In addition, there is a colorful and awesome splash pad. There are nice benches, some covered, to sit and watch the kids. The park also has a walking trail into a wooded area, which is not paved, just gravel. There is some natural prairie vegetation. Trees have been recently planted. There are a nice set of restrooms including a family restroom. I also saw a small pavilion with picnic tables. Bottom line, while it's a bit crowded and loud, this is a great park with lots of fun things to do.

There is a decent amount of parking available but this park does get packed. The park features 8 very nice, fenced in, pickleball courts, a large playground, an active splash pad. The park also have two shelters with picnic tables under them and some benches under small shelter-like structures that provides some relief from the blazing sun. The splash pad has a lot going on. There are sprinklers, pouring buckets, sprayers, waterfalls and lots more. It is very nice and open from 9am to 8pm. The playground is modern and is Divided into zones for children aged 2 to 5 and 5 to 12. It is laid on a combination of artificial turf and rubberized, mud-free, surfacing. The playground features a swing bank with traditional and ADA swings, a net cone merry go round, a slide on artificial turf covered hills and a small jungle gym structure with a couple of slides and bridges. The highlight of the playground though is the towering jungle gym with a bunch of tall slides, ropes, and bridges. It is one of the first things that you will see when you arrive at the park. Additional amenities at the park include a water fountain that is capable of filling bottles, a restroom facility and a patch of green space to play catch or just throw a blanket down and relax, hiking trails that lead to and from downtown Bargersville. It is a small, but very well designed park. I will admit, that it does get packed during nice weather, no school days, especially on weekends. I really like this park. Bargersville has began to invest in parks, which is nice. This is definitely a must visit while in the Center Grove/Bargersville area.

They also have three covered pavilions, with picnic tables and grills that are available to rent. I actually had one of my kids birthday parties there. There is also a restroom facility, which is closed during the winter. They had two porta-pottys set up in front of the facility when I was there. Additionally, the park has a wheelchair accessible trail (zero grade, 1/4 mile asphalt) and a 3/4 mile asphalt hiking trail. It is open from dusk to dawn. The playground is all accessible have some nice equipment, including an interactive arch. The ground is made of the rubbery service that does not get your kids dirty, and protects them from scrapes. Right next to the playground is the sensory music area and a little kids basketball goal, that stands about 3 or 4 feet high. I dunked a few balls to make sure it was in good working order. The park is well maintained. The hiking trail is dual purpose, it is a story trail and a fitness trail. There are kids' storyboards all along the trail to read as you move from one to the next. The story is changed seasonally. There is also fitness equipment, such as pull up bars and parallel bars, spaced along the trail as well for those that want the fitness option. The basketball court is a full court and is decent. The rims have nets, which is a plus. What I really like about the park is that it is far off of the road, giving it a more quiet and tranquil feel. At the front of the park as an art exhibit consisting of painted rocks signifying how everyone is different.

A basketball court. Bathroom facilities open in the summer (in the winter they sometimes offer porta-potties but I'd definitely use the restroom at home prior to my visit - just in case!) For those of you who play Pokémon go the park has 4 gyms and a few stops. Always a fun place to play. It opens at dawn and closes at dusk and has a locking gate, so no stragglers will be left behind

This park is more than meets the eye. The front part, where you first enter, isn't much to see. You need to drive a little through the park to get to it, but once you do, you'll see giant play structures with lots of slides, bridges, fireman poles, monkey bars, swings, rock walls and lots more. The playground area has wood chips on the ground for a soft landing. There's an indoor restroom right next to the playground too, and a water fountain. Just beyond the playground, you'll see signs pointing out different hiking paths. We walked into the woods and came across all kinds of beautiful nature, as well as bridges. This is a great place to take an easy walk or hike with kids. For the doggies, there's a little dog park here (Four Paws Dog Park), with some agility equipment and lots of room to run. The whole dog park is securely fenced and gated. University Park is another great park in Greenwood!

The park's bread and butter however, is it trails. The trails are partially paved and partially in the woods. Picnic tables are scattered about the park, along the trails. There is also some open green space along some of the trails as well. This park is dog friendly and very peaceful. It has a nice bridge that crosses soothing and flowing Pleasant Run Creek. Down the street from this park is the Northwest Park Annex which has many similar amenities. This is a nice park for renting a shelter or trail walking. The city's website explains the park saying the park is best defined more by the natural landscape than recreational amenities.

There is also a field with a kickball backstop. The field does not have any markings, base lines, or mounds. It is just an open green space with a back drop. So, it can be used for other field activities such as soccer, football, frisbee, flying a kite, or playing catch. The playground equipment is in decent shape for the most part, but could probably use an upgrade soon. There is a set of monkey bars, a merry go round, a huge spiral slide tower, a metal slide, a bank of 3 see-saws, an expression swing, a hilly balance beam, a metal climbing pyramid, a bank of traditional swings, and a bank of toddler swings. Behind the swings are a couple of picnic tables and some benches. It looks like there is a merry go round that has been fully taken over by dirt and weeds and looks more like a garden The park has a full basketball court that is decent. The court is a good shape and the rims have nets. The court has benches along the side for resting or spectators. and there is a set of bleachers over there that it shares with the field. This park is alright. It is not like the new mega playgrounds, But it is one of the better ones in the area. I may not have the flash or pizzazz of the newer ones, but it can provide fun for a couple of hours.
