Alex and the team at NST Strongsville have put together a training program that has made my son…read morestronger, faster, and more confident. His physical appearance and attitude have changed in positive ways and we have seen the results in his pitching, base running, batting, tackling, and throwing. He looks forward to his workouts and connecting with the NST team. It has been a great experience and I highly recommend NST!

My 10 year old is very energetic and typically we are in sports of some sort year round. This…read morewinter he told me he didn't want to play basketball. When I asked what he wanted to do he, told me indoor football. I researched in the surrounding area and pretty much either teams were set or it was just too far. After a solid extensive Google search I found NST. I read probably every review I could find about this place. I mean it's 2022 and a crazy world out there. On the NST website it gives you the option to sign up for a free evaluation for ages 6+. So I thought, well all these reviews are literally phenomenal. This is either going to go good or bad. I knew the mechanics of the facility and the objective. I knew it was a age appropriate conditioning and physical activity. My son is very smart, athletic and determined. He also is lacking confidence, has anxiety, and needs motivation. We all have the most imperfectly perfect children, however I try as a mom to improve my children's flaws as much as possible. Sports give my son the drive and support he needs mentally, physically, and emotionally. I requested a evaluation online and and we got scheduled. I told my son when I got home about it. Explored the website and watched youtube videos with him. He did not want to go. He was not interested and he didn't understand how the kids got from point A to point B. He didn't see the whole picture. He was going to the evaluation but honestly I was not sure it was his thing. Evaluation day came and he was dragging his feet. We arrived and facility was clean, welcoming and extremely convenient. Right off the highway. We walked in and we got to the gym entrance, Coach Emma greeted us. She is very professional and knowledgeable. She motivated my son to do his best in each activity he did. He was happy, excited, and tired! She explained each task thoroughly to him and then we would discuss what he can do to improve and where he did well! My son was begging for this opportunity by the end of the evaluation. Essentially it's a gym program for kids. Specializing in each individual kid, in a group setting. Each class is typically an hour long. There's typically 2 options for his age group in the afternoon and evening, 5 days a week and Saturday mornings there's also a class. We can pick and choose what classes he can go to based on our schedules that week. You just book on the app the night before or up to a month in advance which classes he can do. He can go 6 days a week if he wanted to. Or maybe we only have availability for twice in a week. Either way, he's motivated to go. He's getting physical activity and training from a professional in a small group setting. He's working physically and mentally. He's focused. He's working as a team and competitive intuition kicks in. It's kids supporting kids with professional, respectful direction. How fantastic is that. These coaches and programs are outstanding. Motivation. Strength. Flexibility. Strength. Agility. That's just the start. These kids are learning how to play sports without getting injured. They're learning what a community does. The positive impact and respect needed to become a good human. My son is motivated to be the best him. We just started this NST journey but everyone in the community should be aware of the type of programs this facility has. Even if your kids usually play spring, summer, and fall sports. And it gives them the conditioning over the winter they need. Or twice a week all year. There's plenty of options and honestly the price is more than worth it in my opinion. I just wanted to make sure parents know this kind of thing was an option in the community. Because I had no idea. My son is thriving and he's never been more motivated in himself. This is what our world needs. Better humans and this program, family, gym. Is making better humans

I love the balance of OTF workouts between strength training and cardio…read more I visit Canton OTF every time I'm back in town visiting my family. My home studio is Playa Vista, CA, and there are so many studios in LA it's easy to bounce around. All this to say, I've been to many studios, and this is right up there with some of the nicest. The treads are a little outdated, but they're still nice. The studio is clean, always seasonally decorated to motivate and bring joy, and the coaches are great. Cassie and Lexi are my favorites because they give clear/helpful feedback and corrections, bring great energy, and are super motivating. If you're on the fence, I say you should jump in and give it a try!

The gym situation seemed pretty dismal here in North Canton until I was leaving some mediocre sushi and saw the Orangetheory logo and made my coworker pull over. One of the best things about OTheory is that first class is free. So even if you have no interest you might as well just get in there for a free class to check it out. Freebies rock, right? Structure of the class is 1/2 the class on rowers and 1/2 the class on treadmills. The instructor will call out instructions to the treadmill folks and rowers back and forth. The rowers have a sets of time they go for and then will be instructed to head to the weight area where there are TRX, weights, mats, and step boards where the instructor will demonstrate the circuit they will perform. There is also a screen to show the circuit training you will be doing and number of reps. This goes on for the first half of class. The those on the treadmills switch with those from the rowers. The goal of the class is to be in the orange zone on your heart rate which is the optimal cardio zone. It is definitely nice to see the stats and get a feeling for your calories burned. You don't have to buy the monitor for yourself if you think you might only do the one visit per week option like me. In that case it is $5 each time. But if you think this will become your thing it is worth it to buy your own device for $50. The first visit is a free rental. Happy working out!
