I have been to over a dozen dentists in my lifetime, and Summit Dentistry stands out as the best ever. The office staff is welcoming and professional, respectful of your time. My hygienist was thorough but very gentle, spending much more time than usual, making sure I was as comfortable as possible. Then Dr. Norton seemed truly concerned about devising the optimal plan for my needs/treatment, and reviewed all options with me. My life-long fear of dentistry has caused me to procrastinate dental care, and I need a lot of restoration to reclaim a healthy mouth; I'm confident I found the right professional to do the job. The only pain now is PAYING for it, but even there, this office charged half what my former Gulf Breeze dentist did for cleaning/xrays/exam. She doesn't accept Medicare; I don't care. They have worked diligently to schedule in my family of 5. My youngest daughter has had fear of dentists and needles. They treated her with kindness, patience and professionalism. I've been coming to Summit dental for about 6 years now, originally with Dr. Miller and now with Dr. Naomi. Everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable in dentistry. My hygienist, Denise, is fantastic at her job and every visit has exceeded expectations. -- Office/Reception -- The office has a small waiting area, about 5 seats or so, open to the office manager. I've never had to wait more than about 10 minutes with an appointment. The entire office is very clean and calming. -- Hygienist -- Denise does a fantastic job and I always feel like I'm in good hands. She even has a massage chair and sunglasses (so that the dental light doesn't shine in your eyes) in her suite, so you might actually enjoy going to the dentist! She even remembered that I told her I liked starwars a few years back and gave me a starwars toothbrush once. Very detail oriented and reliable. -- Dr. Naomi -- Dr. Naomi is very talented. I've had a few minor procedures done with her over the years and I'm never disappointed. She's very much a perfectionist and makes sure everything feels right to you before wrapping everything up. Today was my first visit to Summit Dental. I followed Dr. Naomi Norton from her previous practice at Fairfield Dental. I have nothing but good things to say about that practice as well, but I liked Dr. Norton enough to follow her to her new practice, even though it is less convenient to my home and work. I started off on the wrong foot by misremembering my appointment time. I got a call from the office as I was driving, wondering if I was okay. I showed up more than 20 minutes late, but the staff didn't miss a beat, and they got me right in. I dealt with Christie at the front desk, Debbie and Bree, while I was in the chair along with Dr. Norton. They were all great as I got a crown started. I especially enjoyed the good music they had playing in the office. It was a 60's, 70's and 80's mix. Don't bother asking the ladies who the artist is though. They're great at dentistry, but not so hot at music trivia. My other pleasant surprise on this first visit was the massaging dental chair. When you go in, be sure to ask for the good vibrations on your back and butt while the ladies are working in your mouth. Ahhhh! Today was our first time at Summit Dental, and certainly won't be the last. I have been searching for the right dentist in Pensacola for so long. There are many choices when it comes to optometrists and dentisits in Pensacola, but there are not many that are exceptionally good. Well, now I don't have to look any further. I took my son to get his teeth cleaned, and happend to stumble upon them because they had a Groupon deal online. Our nurse, Patty, and Dr. Miller were both so friendly and both provided such detailed and exceptional service. They explained everything from start to finish. Not a detail missed. This place was amazing. I would definitely pay extra if they asked me to in order to do some work. The ENTIRE staff was very nice and knowledgeable. If you check in on Facebook, they give you a gift, they give you nice sunglasses for that bright light (as opposed to those crappy ones that most dentist offices give you), this place is more like a dental spa. Best dental experience ever!!!! I moved to the area not long ago and needed a new dentist. After checking reviews from other patients on Yelp decided to make an appointment. Great experience!!! The front desk woman was very welcoming. My hygienist was Denise. She was amazing. She asked a bit about me just to break the ice and went about explaining in detail what to expect. I received the most thorough exam and cleaning ever. Dr Norton is the new owner, and she too was very thorough as she examined my teeth. Dr. Norton is by far the best dentist I've ever had and I'm 59 so I've seen a few. No pain, super nice as is all of her staff. And best of all she doesn't hate the world like most dentist My only complaint is now they don't take medicare complete even with my supplement and now I have to find another dentist. Dr. Norton please change that so everyone that retires don't have to find another dentist when we have to go on Medicare. I started going regularly when I found her and I haven't been to a dentist since. read more

I visited Dr. Miller's office about a year ago while living in Pensacola. My first visit was pleasant and the receptionist, hygienist (Patty), and Dr. Miller were very friendly. At my appointment, it was recommended that my only filling be replaced with a crown. He said I could also take my chances and get it refilled, but stressed that a crown would be the better way to go and last for many years. At my next appointment, the crown was done. It has never felt right. I've always had food catch between and under it. I was told by Summit (after calling to let them know of my concerns several times) that this is fine and to just floss under it. For the past year, I've had infrequent discomfort and have dreaded going to have it checked out. I now have another dentist office and was told that the crown does not fit properly and I will have to have it completely redone (out of pocket since my insurance will not cover a replacement for quite a few more years down the road). After they looked at my previous X-rays, I was also told that they would have just replaced the original filling since the decay was so shallow. Just their opinion, but still....After the crown had been put on originally, my insurance initially refused to pay their allotted portion due to insufficient evidence of decay, leading me to wonder why Dr. Miller had even suggested the procedure in the first place. Just discouraged that work that was costly and most likely unnecessary in the first place is still affecting my life a year later. I did learn an important lesson from this experience though: always get a second opinion if getting significant work done and do your research on the pros and cons. Giving two stars instead of one because they are friendly. read more
