I Remember the ER being very disorganised, chatotic and uncaring. Heart rate shot up to 200 bpm at one point to little attention. Was luckily given a room and tests were done (which was nice and Tyler Glagola EMT, head nurse and then cardiac nurse stopped by to say hello that day which was also very nice) but nothing ever came of it. Was billed for doctors I don't even remember seeing. Doctors reported physical examinations that I don't think ever occurred. On top of that, I developed a blood clot in my left arm as a result of their care. They never really did anything about. Doctors never really found out what was wrong and I never really got any better. They really don't care about you as a person at all. If you don't fit a certain criteria, they will not help you.

When making the appointment, I had specifically informed the receptionist that he is coming from a nursing home, that he is with an insurance company that he's on through Medicaid, and this is what he needs. She understood, set up the appointment, and the nursing home set up transportation to them. (The nursing home themselves had called at a later point to confirm that they're aware of all this information as well, and everything was seemingly fine). I called a day or so later to find out the name of the doctor for the insurance company and it was this doctor; Dr. Inderjit Singh Kainth. Day of appointment comes. Transportation brings my dad into the office with my mom, only to be told once he's there that they don't accept this insurance, and HE told my mom that he doesn't accept patients from nursing homes. Perhaps he's a good doctor. I can't tell you on that. But his office certainly needs more transparency on all levels. This experience was one that could've wholly been avoided.

They start calling patients for payment days before the service is even provided. It can feel a little pushy.

On July 4th, 2025, my brother was admitted to RWJBH presenting with a heart attack. He was told he needed a heart MRI and that it would be scheduled but they didn't know when he would be taken for the heart MRI. The next day, July 5, we asked when it would be scheduled. The nurses said they didn't know because there was no one there who could perform it. On July 6, I begged again to get this done. Same response. July 7 late in the day, he finally got the MRI. On July 8 at 4:45 the MRI was still not read. I called the hospital customer satisfaction team and someone promptly handled this and it was read and he was released with medication prescriptions in 15 minutes. If I had not involved customer satisfaction, he would have had to stay yet another night. How can this be ethical? Five days with the room charge in excess of $20,000 per day not including other charges!!! An unnecessary number of days in the hospital because they didn't have the staff to conduct the MRI or read the MRI in a timely manner. He was not seen by a cardiologist after being seen on day 1 until his discharge. Additionally, there were issues in not notifying that a bill was rendered (online in a portal) and needed to be paid. Notification came in the mail 6 months later from an agency the hospital uses to collect payment. I had to request an itemized bill. I filed an appeal but was denied with the reason that based on his insurance, he was responsible for 40% (which we already knew and understood). Obviously the facts above were ignored and not addressed.

So, like I said before, I came in for a job to get a physical, skin test, and drug test and the service was stellar. Every nurse was SO sweet and helpful, especially considering I didn't know what to do. Both the doctor and the nurse explained each test they ran and went through all the procedures thoroughly for me. I felt like I was being taken care of rather than pushed through like most clinics I've been to. Also, the office is very clean but a little old. It's not state of the art or anything. It's located at the JFK Hospital but it's tucked away into the woods in the back. It's in Parking lot G, but there is no sign for G. Instead, follow H (leads you into "Family Practice"), which will take you to Occupational Health Services. I had to drive 30 minutes to this place so I'm glad it was worthwhile.

I then returned a week later and even thought I told him I was still in pain, he sent me back to work and told me that the pain was all in my head. The day I went back to work I couldn't take the pain and my company sent me back to them. There the same doctor told me that i was fine and it was all in my head and that he did not want to do an MRI because if he found something they would have to treat it.(hmm) I then went to my primary doctor who sent me for an MRI and it showed that I had a partial thickness rotator cuff tear and an impigment on my shoulder. Went back to the doctor and he told me that it is normal to have rotator cuff tears as we age (I am 27). I then asked to speak to the chief who then sent me to an Orthopedic. I've been coming to Occupational Health every month for one year for this injury and every time i come it takes 3 to 4 hours of my day.
